I watch the Eurosport highlights like a travel film. Makes me want to go to these places, but really gives me no real feeling for what happened in the race. Your highlights give the feeling of the race, what was happening and why. Tourneys licensing arrangements are really working well for your videos. I hope they are working well for you financially. The highlights of LR could be even better concerning the footage because I think he's a bit restricted. His highlights have the exact same race footage as the official won from the TdF channel

I genuinely shed a tear when I watched that interview. We can be so thankful to have a rider like MVDP who's riding style is so entertaining, doing away with all those conventions and predictability.
I have to say the ASO deserve a ton of praise, this is the most exciting start to a TDF in many moons. I'm gonna give the ASO a 9.3 for these first two stages. I bumped it up the .3 for the fact they want to put abounty on that stupid ladies head. Chapeau ASO now stop fining for stupid stuff. Ok Rave and Rant over.

The new generation cyclist are ripping up the racing, without looking at their wattage, switching of the computers. These riders are racing instinctive, so much more fun to watch.

I first watched Matthieu van der Poel riding ten years ago in cyclocross by the age of 16 when he had no opponent at Junior level and the only remaining question was, how many of the bunch will he lap today? Wout van Aert always was racing an age class above, yet not a serial winner due to very talented competition. However, when WvA's age class made their impact on cyclocross Elite level, they totally took over and put many renowned cyclocrossers into retirement, as they raised the competition level significantly. Soon followed by MvdP, who dramatically shortened his young guns period to level up into Elite for even more excitement. Since then, Wout remained the only serious competitor who is able to beat a Matthieu on from. But it's not only his display of power, it's the combination with incredible technical skills as well. When "Superman" MvdP overplayed his crazy game in cyclocross, "Hulk, the mud monster" WvA, on eye-level in terms of brute force, was taking over...

The former will use his better acceleration to take a victory in the sprint. Cees Bol will win the sprint for third. Schelling will be in the (second) break and will celebrate one mountain point.
Tomorrow looks a great stage given that there are so many great sprinters who could win. I suppose it will all come down the legs, luck, team support and coordination
MVDP is thinking about his grandad,Raymond Poulidor,a French champion,nicknamed Poupou.Poulidor was on the box of the TDF eight times .Last time he was forty.Poulidor,who won more than 180 races(Milan San Remo and a Vuelta),never won the TDF,and never had the Yellow Jersey.
It’s turning out to be an incredible race so far and MVDP is so deserving of the win. The only thing that could better that would be Cavendish winning a stage.

Ever since they have stopped naming their GC rider it has been like this. They have their training pulling but the train does not know who it is pulling for, what a mess.
I did enjoy the little rivalry between Schelling and Perez. I'm sure the sponsors like it! Stage three sprint goes to Ewan? Head says Ewan, heart wants Cav. Not sure what's up with Sagan. No idea about yellow-I called it wrong the first two stages. I doubt it goes to an INEOS rider, and I think that's the safest bet I can make. Thanks, LR. I enjoyed it as usual.

I hope he'll stay through at least the first rest day. Stage 10 looks very winnable if he can manage to go into a good break away. Departing after a bang!
I wouldn't be surprised to see mvdp up there tomorrow, he's capable of getting a top3. Considering that he would love some bonus seconds and that Merlier is not looking too good after yesterday's crash, we might see a change of plan from alpecin.
