Hi Jonathan what a beautiful review and a beautiful guitar, I do own a Farida D62AN that a bought in 2008 that's the nearest I think I will get to owning a D42, although I do own a Martin SC13e, and out of all my guitars I play this the most God Bless
A lovely demo Jon, as we have come to expect! I wonder if some day I will move beyond (is that possible?) my D-35 to a D-40 series. One will really have to grab my heart "in person", I think. Sorry not to come by more often, but for what it's worth, you are easily one of my favorite performers on YT, IG, and FB. Love to see your posts, even if I don't comment all the time. My very best to your family, and God Bless. ❤️❤️❤️
I just bought a Santa Cruze Firefly and it's up there with this Martin. Great guitars are really getting expensive! I'll let you know how it sounds when I get it.
It's a dream to be able to play the flagship Martins TT... btw, for a budget of SGD1500, can you give me some recommendations of good acoustic guitars around that price? Thanks!
Ciao.
Hey man, I have a Martin D-35 like you. I wonder if the gap of price is justified by the sound. I mean, I can buy two Martin with the same money. do you think it is worth it ?
A buddy of mine owns both (D35 70's and D42 80') so I can play them regularly : two excellent guitars but different beasts. D42 = more refined (to me the shell purfling adds extra treble and some kind of "zing" to the sound, more than in the D41 / less than in the D45, which I have played too). Maybe higher grade woods too, but by a small margin. D35 : more rock'n'roll / powerfull bass. As for me, it comes down to what you like to play.
"Such great bass and clean top end" Martin does it again..............(ah sorry "J" does it again ) God bless your every breath my friend. ( please try to keep up with your children's voices) LOL :-)
Thanks
thank you zoot!✌❤

What is worth it? Getting the D42?
@@JonIsJustTooLoud Yes. For that amount of money. Cause I really want but sometimes i think it's not worth that amount
