Since I subscribed to your channel, the algorithm has given me several other channels of transfer stations and many other facets of the garbage industry to view. Though it is fun to see the differences from state to state, and even various designs of equipment and station transfer, it is way more interesting and educational for me to see local and familiar names.
That said, do you know of any channels that video the trip from this station to the landfill?
Our local manufacturer, which I'm sure you are familiar with, Columbia Ind., builds the tippers for many landfills. Since I found your channel here, the education I have been given to the workings of the garbage industry is just unreal. I cant tell you how much I appreciate not only what you do, but that you take the time to show the rest of us. Thank you for that.

Hey! Thanks for the comment! I not sure exactly if there is a channel that is local that provides videos on exactly that. Fantastic video. Lots of juice in the bellies. Many years ago they had a dump port for skack juice but i was told manufacturers were getting away from that by law and everything had to go out through the back. I’m guessing some drivers were arbitrarily opening it to give a gift to special customers. 😂😂 Thank you for sharing these vids!!!!!!

It’s so cool that a lot of drivers now don’t have to deal with the back doors on a front loader thats something you really need to be careful opening those rear doors with 13 tons against it. Auto rear doors were out there but not used alot . And the front. Loader had hoist to empty the truck. When at a landfill had to be careful when hoist is going up

I want to see where the container underneith goes after it is full. Are there any video of that?
The trash is loaded in to a 53’ trailer. About 55-60,000 of it. Then it get hauled off to a landfill about 2 hours away to be dumped. I will do my best to get some landfill videos but it won’t be easy. Thanks for watching!

Who has chosen the container size to empty the trucks in? Now a single load of a truck never fits in the container. Make it bigger and you got less mess in the station. If possible of course. 😎
You can only weight 80000 on the hyway
The “container “ is a trailer! You can only make it so big and it can only carry so much weight wise! All that trash is trucked to another location. Hence the name “transfer station”.
How many of these type trucks would it take to load the trailer completely? I enjoy watching your videos.
Thanks for watching. If these trucks come in fully loaded with about 20,000lbs then it will only take 3 trucks to fill the trailer. But on average it take about 4-5 trucks to fill the trailer.

this video shows both Garbarino 11 and 21, a Volvo WX42 and Peterbilt 320. Both of these are notable units due to 21 being retired now and 11 being reduced to spare service.

Nothing to be embarrassed about. It’s a good career that pays surprisingly well.
One thing is for certain, as long as there’s people there will be trash! You’ll always have a job! It’s not a bad job if you can deal with the smell!

Interesting from a health and safety point of view. There are no guard rails at the edge of the tipping floor. Has anyone fallen in ? (Maybe no one knows. Instant burial.)
I would have thought the bagged waste would have been more flattened. Some look quite round. Almost survivable for a ride ?

We call that the crane. It’s used to smash and level the garbage that’s in the trailer that’s in the pit. It’s also used to take trash out of the trailer is over loaded. Thanks for watching!

It’s emptied into a truck trailer which is driven in from below, check the other videos there is plenty of footage which shows it 😅😊

I hope there's a final "sorting" that goes on before this stuff is hauled to the landfill. I see a lot of recyclable stuff in these loads (metals, electronics, wires / cables, etc). It would suck if that stuff just got buried with everything else.
That’s a good point. I’m not sure exactly what the processes is after it gets hauled away to the landfill. I have not been able to see the all those details.
I had to watch this I packed garbage back in the 70s that was back when you still had pack the garbage out of people's backyard
