Tool Review Zone I had a great question I was trying to ask vcg when is Milwaukee going to come out with a belt sander brushless battery operated and also what do you think about the Milwaukee pointer I need clean the edges of some doors I just installed on one of my flip houses when I install them the weather was cool and now that it's hot that's starting to stick a little bit so nice battery operated belt sander would be sweet or I just might purchase the Milwaukee planer
Tool Review Zone I figured if anybody would know if I walk he's going to come out with this you or vcg would know
@@josephmalinowski6817 Whats up bro!. So do you mean the heat temp gun? From what I can tell on the VCG channel, it works really well. They use it a lot actually. As for the sander, I did not see any at the NPS event, but that don't mean they wont surprise us with one this year.
Tool Review Zone wow the question I'm asking is Milwaukee ever coming out with a battery operated belt sander and the Milwaukee wood planer what do you think about that one of my flip houses I installed doors through the whole house what it was cool out now with the heat and humidity the doors are sticking I don't feel like using Milwaukee 5-inch sander but a belt sander would work great
@@josephmalinowski6817 The Milwaukee planer has some great reviews. I have not used it myself, but from what I am seeing, it looks to be an awesome tool. It's a bit pricey (over $200), but Milwaukee makes awesome stuff. I have not heard anything on a Cordless Belt sander, but the RIDGED is good from what I hear. I will let you know if I hear anything about a cordless sander though bro.
Heat guns are so handy! Always love your thoughts on tools! 🙌🏻
Thanks Sarah!!!!!!!!!!👊
I am looking for a cordless heat gun and this fits the bill. Nice review. Awesome video and cool editing, really funny.
Haha, thanks John!!!
Great review !
Thanks Rob!
Thumbs up! Great video!
Thank guys!!!
Great video bro
Never used this heat gun but seems nice
Looks great an looks like it works wonderful
as far as starting the butane gun...like any butane item. you have to give a little bit to settle down or its too cold..every time i refill a lighter its the same deal..it gets really cold from the butane. you have to let the butane settle
i have seen it in store its nice
At $110 not bad if it holds up. Great review man!!!
Thanks Juan!
Would you recommended it for outdoor usage ? How about working under hood cable repairs ?
Just grabbed this for $65 on clearance at the depot. Did not realize it does not include battery/charger lol. Seems better than the Milwaukee tho.
man this would be awesome for epoxy pours
Wow bro, I didn't even think of that!!!
Looks bad ass
So how does it stand 2021 one year later ? How long the battery you have holds a whole tank butane 16oz? Or how often do you need to recharge the battery and gas to use this tool? Do you know how to clean it from contamination on the bottom from built up?
I see to have issues with filling now. It does not seem to accept the butane. Any word on the valve going bad?
This heat gun will most likely run longer on the same Ah battery as the Milwaukee as it's using the Butane for the heat unlike the M18 Milwaukee using the battery for the heat. So the M18 would be better if you don't have access to Butane on the site, whereas this would run longer on a single charge of Butane was available if you only had a single battery charged. That's the Pros and Cons as I can see.
Seems like a pretty good heat gun. I'm curious as to how much run time do you get out of one Butane fill up? I've been using an older corded Northern Tool electric heat gun for 10 years or so with no issues and good results through practice. A cordless heat gun would be nice depending on it's run time especially when I'm stripping paint over large surface areas. Thanks for sharing. Cheers Clint!
I've been using it a lot William and I still have the same bottle of butane buddy. Thanks for the comment!!!
@@ToolReviewZone Cool. Thanks Clint.
This video was right on time brother. I have quite a few heat guns and I am not happy with any of them. I primarily use them for vct tile to get the tile flexible when needed , can this gun be sat on its "back" when needed ? I hope u know what I mean when I say that.
I think it can if I remember correctly, but let me double check tomorrow for you bro
@@ToolReviewZone much appreciated brother.
I love the idea of the butane but I don't like the idea of the way it is ignited by using the trigger I think the trigger should be 4 fan speed and I do not like how long it takes to cool down it takes much too long
You didn't overfill it. When you first bought it it has air in the line. It has to be purged. The gas lines are really skinny so you may have to keep trying to ignite it for a minute. I'm going to tryheat welding Durolast with mine
Have variable temp & air flow speed heat gun that use from everything from Construction to Car/architectural vinyl wraps & etc.... Wish someone would make a gun w/ all the features of my corded, but battery operated. Milwaukee was close w/ m18 but not there yet. Was hoping this one would be great, but again.....need battery & butane (just one extra thing😉).
Do like the feature that you must get right on the material for it to bubble/burn....that’s pretty great, along w/ durability (which would equal longevity at my shop😅).
Cheers😊
It's never going to happen.
There simply isn't enough available power in a battery to provide that much energy for extended periods. There will always be a compromise whether it's reduced output heat or reduced runtime.
Andy Only thing wrong w/ Milwaukee M18 heat gun....no variable temp or air flow.... If they could ad those to the gun for a M18 Fuel (gen 2) version....would be awesome

If you're ok with the short run time, then perhaps the Ryobi one+ heat gun might have that. I'm not sure if it does.
I hate butane half the time it sprays on the outside of what your filling more then you get in the item your filling just constant problems I have with butane
Bought one yesterday... Returned it today. It would not stay lit. 30 second fill. Didn't work. Filled until it started to overflow. Nothing. Emptied the tank and used a different butane. Same problem. Let it sit overnight to settle and still had no luck. I ordered another one online hoping it will work.
Yeah, sometimes they take a while to settle, but could have gotten a bad one too. Thanks for the feedback
@@ToolReviewZone It did run once. I think the thermister in it was a bad one. As soon as the igniter stopped it went out.
@@rcnut123 ahhh I c. Let me know how the other one works
Got the new one today I ordered online. It fires up first time everytime. Looking forward to using it after the holiday weekend. Came bundled with a 5ah battery for the same price as the first one.
That’s one hot tool. That would have been a lot nicer to have
Do you have to use that specific butane or any kind?
Any kind
Will a curved heat deflector for heat shrink tubing fit on the nozzle?
Jason Yes, I used the one from my Ryobi corded heat gun.
It's a standard 1.25 barrel so it should
Trz it looks like a nice heat gun but I don't like the fact that I would have to keep buying butane. I think King of the crease would like that one. Peace brother
Understandable bro
I can't find one but want one wanna sell me yours lol I need it for work 😩 😫 😭
How long does butane last because for some reaone i use it and in 10mins its out
Should last a lot longer than that. You may not be filling it up all the way?
are you trying to return it to home depot after the review thats why the tag is still on there? LOL
I wish it was that simple, but I ways leave my tags on....it's a thing for some reason
have any attachments on the head?? like for tile?
I didn't get anything with it that I remember bro
@@ToolReviewZone cool. id bet u could try some of those attachments that came with your wagner (i have the same one) and slap it on that new ridgid gun. looks like it will fit no? if u still have those attachments try to stick one on and see if it fits. thx bub
I've been through three of these due to the ultra delicate gas valve. The knob internals are way too delicate and once you turn it too far because you have gloves on it breaks. Also as soon as someone else uses it they will strip the gas adjustment knob if you forget to tell them to be really careful. That is apparently why they were sold out of stock on sale and no longer available. POS in my opinion and a waste of money. Good idea but not designed well at all unless you're doing arts and crafts, by yourself
LATEX NOT WATER BASED LMAO
Lol @ eat your heart out QVC
Only Ridgid 18v tool I've returned... The trigger is just a starter/ off switch. I accidentally turned the thing off a dozen times... Should have just been an on/off switch! Don't put a trigger on a tool if it's just an on/off switch...
