    Thanks for the review. Sounds like your a milwaukee person. I wouldn't trade any of my Ridgid tools. I have 7 pages registered for life. I work everywhere and build just about everything. No company has the high quality tools like ridgid. The customer service with them makes their products unbeatable. They must hire some serious engineers when they design. Dependability, replacement wherever there is a Home Depot if needed. priceless

    Ya know just cause you put a fresh tube in doesn’t mean the the plunger handle has to stick out? Just turn it like 90deg and push it in. Than you have eliminated the chance you’ll get caught on something or bend the shaft.

    I have had my Milwaukee grease gun for 8 years now using about 2-3 tubes a day only thing I’ve had an issue with is I replaced the hose once if the ridged is built as good as the Milwaukee is it’s gonna be a great tool

    If these people are having issues with the LSA then they aren't all there in their head because it has become so simple its crazy. Applied for LSA on my radio last night, woke up this morning with an approval email. Took 5 minutes to apply on my phone on their website.

    @WorkshopAddict Ridgid has the temperature overload and the other bit/sensors in the battery. Milwaukee is different and it's located in the tool. This is why Milwaukee has more contact points. Source: I designed some battery adapters.

    • @WorkshopAddict
      @WorkshopAddict  3 года назад +1

      That was one reason I said I was unsure if it mattered, it was a matter of how good I feel about it. Lol. I like to see more connections. Right or wrong, it makes the end user feel like there is more going on. Do you still make adapters? We get so many requests for them!!!

    • @DavidLucBelanger

      @@WorkshopAddict Yes, I do. I make in house Ridgid to Ryobi (3D printed) and outsourced Ridgid to M18, Ridgid to DeWalt and Ridgid to Makita because I don't have a CNC machine.

    Ridgid is a Home Depot house brand. Ridgid is owned by Emerson. Emerson therefore dictates what ridgid branded tools are allowed to emerge at Home Depot. Ps all ridgid 18 volt tools are rebrands that are sold across the pond as AEG. AEG has had a grease gun in their lineup for a while as well as many other tools not currently offered by ridgid.

  • @giopaino
    @giopaino 3 года назад +3

    It’s not abnormal for a third party company to make a device and a major corporation “rebrands” it
    Bosch & Milwaukee have the same 12v battery. Just the end cap is reversed

  • @firratblitzcki7734

    I'm considering getting one but gotta ask you about the grease gun coupler, is it easy to remove off the zerks/grease nipple once it's pumped or you need to twist and pull off as you would with most guns? I can't tell you how many times I have had my grease gun stuck on the fitting and broke it so hope Ridgid got a better design that allows for easy application and removal instead of having to fight it off. Can always buy a Quicklock grease gun coupler but why spend another $50 when it should work out of the box.
    Thanks for the review!

    If you push the plunger in it's way easier to handle, not nearly as awkward and takes up a lot less space when you store it.

    The shorter hose on the ridgid is a big negative for me. What are the prices for these in The USA? Here in Australia it's $499 for the AEG (Ridgid) and $569 for the Milwaukee.

    I received my Ridgid grease gun yesterday, used it today. Don't really care for it. It's heavy, can't change the tip (I love the lock N lube, but they must have super glued the original tip on. When on a zerk you have to fight it to get it off. I ordered it and didn't get a receipt. Ridgid is falling down on the job. Should have gone with the 20 volt DeWalt not the ridgid line.
