Hot glue is a great way to temporarily hold something in place while a more permanant adhesive set up...
    PROVE ME WRONG!

Now, to get that glue off your picnic table, just spray it with a little alcohol and it will peel off without damaging the wood.

I have the Ryobi cordless glue gun and it works well enough, and yes it drips all the time once it’s heated up.
The Rigid looks great, but I would have the added cost of a battery and charger,
My only real complaint with the Ryobi is that too much glue comes out at times, perhaps a different nozzle would help.

Your tool is experiencing premature e-glue-ulation. I'm sure that's a useful glue pewpew, but it looks kind of awkward compared to the more compact glue pewpews that sit in a base to heat, but have no cordage attached directly to the pewpew. If the base was powered by the bat-ray and the pewpew rested in the base to reheat, AND TO CATCH THE DRIPS, that would be more useful. Just my opinion. Good video Clint!

“Adjust your stroke” 😂 I’m a ridgid fan boy, but my tool connection looks like a bag of skittles because of the lack of ridgid tools…. It’s become the same thing drills, lights and saws. About 7 gens of each… going more than red moving forward.

I haven't looked into a cordless glue gun yet because my corded one works fine. The glue trap that you mentioned sounds very innovative, but also a potential nuisance when going to use the gun. I will look into the different brands and see what I have been missing out on. Thanks for another great presentation. Putting in a few bits of comic relief is real "nice like", lol.

You might see it differently if you tried a cordless one. It kind of depends on your use patterns.
I have a couple of the Ryobis, at least one of each model they sell -- except the tiny new 4v glue-pen. I could use them 90% at a workbench or desk, but since getting a Ryobi gun, I virtually never use my corded guns any more. Having it cordless is kind of a game changer. No cord to snag, put it down anywhere you want, etc. Of course, if I were using it all day long, well, naturally there's still a good argument for sticking with a corded gun.
As for the glue-catcher getting in the way, that's not so much a concern if, like the new dual-temperature Ryobi gun, it flips out of the way anyhow. I've never worried about it, as I'm in the habit of putting down a piece of cardboard or a silicone mat anyway, so even when I used my dual-temp, I don't usually use the catcher.

@@floobertuber I was thinking the same thing about not really needing a catcher since I've been using other things for years. I haven't touched my GG in years so I'm not really excited about replacing it unless I need a wireless in the situation.

Seems to me if they put the glock grip angle on it the thing would keep it's glue inside. Another tool that should remain corded like a 4 1/2 inch angle grinder. Battery ok for tiny job but anything real stick with corded

Engineers / designers , need to figure out how to stop glue gun drips, some type of check valve , and make it standard on all brands... # Eliminate the catch pan all together👍

Hey Clint, I know this off topic, but I’m done pulling on a gas trimmer! Is the Ryobi not reobi going to work for me , I’ve got an acre of land, how long does it take to charge a 40 AH battery, I’m already in the platform with the brushless 18 volt equipment !?
