I think pre-mating preparation 🤩🤣🤣 The answer is in the second video, two-stage shearing.

I don't think that the sheep liked getting sheared this way. That machine had the sheep entirely on their backs with their hooves sticking straight up, which is dangerous to the sheep's health when left in that position too long, such as when sheep get stuck on their backs in the fields. Getting sheared the other way, when held in "sitting position", at least then they aren't totally on their backs, and their hooves are sticking out and not up. But the sheep don't even like that too much because sheep don't like being in any position where their legs and hooves are off the ground

ok so if we did things YOUR way and the sheep NEVER got sheared (bc we dont want them to b handled at all) then the world wd have NO wool at all (goodbye warm winter coats for people) plus the sheeps wool just KEEPS on growing regardless so it wd die of heatstroke in summer or fall down and not b able to get up; would not b able to outrun a predator, and would end up having dreadfully itchy painful skin conditions. This shearing flip table does NOT hurt the sheep at all; its very glad to get rid of its heavy itchy load of wool!! plus can you IMAGINE how much your back would hurt after shearing sheep WITHOUT a shearing table; having to BEND OVER to the floor for HOURS every day? would completely wreck your back for the rest of your life eh

They are only on their backs for 30 seconds.
I admit the way they get flipped over, looks a little rough, but it's all over so fast it's for the best.

hes not hurting the sheep at all; watch REGULAR sheep shearing and see how rough the sheep are handled WITHOUT a shearing table...

You must be joking he’s not hurting the sheep at all, what he is doing will save the sheep’s lives, he’s preventing them from getting flyblown around their tail end.
