Dude, so glad i bought 8000 series awhile back. Clearly louder and better fidelity. This video explains why. Guys, get the BEST cables you can afford, period. Love the channel D&F 😎
I know that 9000 is there best rca cables but Are the stinger X3 rca better then the stinger 8000 rca cables? I own the 8k rca cables already but was wondering if there a sound difference if I were to use the X3 instead? Thanks!
My question after watching this great info is are the X3 more equal to the 8000 or 9000 or somewhere in between? I’m running all stinger 8000 rca currently. Another question is when running active with dsp which set of rca are most important in sq? The rcas feom head unit to dsp or from dsp to amplifiers? I’m going to purchase some X3s if they’re a little better than the 8000s and use the better of the rcas to the more important location based on answer of the second question
I just ordered 8000 series for my Mosconi D2 amps. Hope I made the right choice. I didnt want to spend 100s of dollars on RCA's so I pulled the trigger on these.
Need to tighten some screws on those chairs. Either that or get some new chairs. All that squeaking is distracting. The knowledge presented in this video is excellent though. Thank you so much for hosting this cable rep.
Wish known big brands put Tiffany style rca on their amps. Alot of smaller companies put them on all their amps at much lower price point and it boggles me that bigger name companies still use the normal rca connector on the amp making it a sorry weak point.
Hi. Very informative discussion. I have a question though. I have a 2011 e90 and have the amp placed in the left hand corner where the factory amp normally goes. I have run my second set of Stinger RCA's from my 80prs to my 5 channel JBL. Originally I had ran the RCA's under the glove box, down the left hand side of the car going along with factory loom which went along the fender down to the amplifier. I had noticed that each time I pressed the brake pedal, I could hear static coming through the speakers, initially I had thought that it was a bad set of RCA's, so I had swapped them out for a different brand. Painful to run as the cables were thicker than the Stinger, nevertheless I was still picking up the noise coming into the signal path. Just to test, I disconnected the plug that goes to the light cluster and this time the noise had gone. I ended up running the RCA's down the centre console and away from the factory loom which got rid of the noise. Still, it doesn't really help in terms of keeping the cable run with the factory loom to keep things neat? Basically, do you always run the RCA's away from the factory cabling? Thanks
You cannot run hi level through rca. Even the stinger. My new guy had done that. High voltage audio will get the rca wire increasing resistance till you finally get so much resistance you get no audio out. Do not run hi level audio through an rca........ Unless you're rca conductor is a speaker wire lol
Off topic but you guys would know probably/hopefully. I have a 07 Ram and want to install a Linkswell "TS-DGPU10-4RR-9 GEN II DODGE RAM T-STYLE RADIO" It says it fits 2014 to 2018 Rams. Not sure if that's just because of the housing or because there would be some wiring incompatibility. What do you guys think?
@@FiveStarCarStereoInc thank you for the reply :). Going to push my luck a bit more... do you think its doable? Like if I change my trucks plug to a 2014 and run my wiring to that, then plug it into the linkswell would it operate? Not to concerned with the fitment I have a friend who as a large 3d printer.
Great show, great video, and great channel. Question that maybe I missed... has anyone ran house RCA's in a auto setup? I'm looking at Audioquest brand... any comment?
When I was 16ish I used to use home audio all the time I would get RCA's that would cut out or start to sound very dirty. I'm 49 and just now learning a directional rca is a real thing
if nobody says anything other than me I have learned something about the 4000 series that I bought ,thank you very much! I just saw stinger and said ill buy those 😁.. as i installed them i was literally looking at the label and noticed i ran the rca backwards and wondered what my consequences were, if I was losing any signal, or or anything else was happening ,and now I know!
I have a important question on my 03 silverado theres a cable connected to a fuse 10a for tbc accy i dont know why its there i bought the truck like that thinking its for the radio to shut off automatically if so where do i connect it red, yellow cable ..please help
Do not connect hi level to rca cable at deck then run rca back. Heat and distortion level from deck will heat rca conductor and raise resistance to the point where you won't get audio. Noobies have done this in the past and it was fustrating troubleshooting it because I never imagined anyone Widner do that. No bueno
This has no principle in science. I would recommend you check Audioholics or Audio Sxience Review for their cable debunking threads. Line Level RCA is AC. Without a separate controller a simple cable can’t tell the electrons in what direction to flow. What the manufacturer is doing is making a pointless differentiation in order to stand out and possibly charge more.
I would recommend you understand the difference between a controlled home audio environment and car audio environment when it comes to noise rejection and signal to noise ratio. They are totally different environments. I don't go to a bone doctor and ask about my heart. Yes two doctors but two totally different environments. Am I saying that you need expensive cable? No. Just don't go watching videos of "experts" and regurgitating what they say because 1 day later there will be another"expert" making a video of why they were wrong and so on and so forth. Cheers👍
@@angelvip2474 i have to respectfully disagree and call bs on both sorry, if you put a multimeter to the cable you won’t be able to measure anything that makes it to or improves the signal,

I know this video is old. But what's better x3 or the 9000 series
Can we get Fernando cam on those RCA’s
Director chairs are great but please fix the cheap plastic chair noise grind. Best channel so far i have found.
😂
Exactly what I was thinking!
thanks guys! I am in for the sound deadening show....
This video was extremely helpful...

Great information! - Trash those chairs for any future talks. Great work though.
They don't sell this no more look into the eBay where I was I can find those stinger 8000

I don’t hear any noise or have a problems with them. There just bulky..

Are they called RCA’s or interconnects? What is the official proper name?

Just use hi to low converter at the deck if you need to

Directional for the noise rejection bud not the audio signal.
