Have to thank you guys for this. I've had my hybrid audio imagine 6.5's installed for over 3 years and have been so disappointed with their midbass while everyone else on forums and reviews were stating they loved how much midbass they had. I installed some frost tape around the woofer and wow what a night and day difference. It really gave me the full potential of the speaker. Thanks!
A great video and oh yes you know your stuff :) I found that the better the planning and preparing the better the end result is. I just have a pug 106 but with weeks of planning etc even with £40 speakers in the front doors, the result is impressive. Thanks again for the video!
I have a 2015 Dodge Challenger scat pack 6.4L. When i got the car the bass was almost too much, sounded awesome and if I moved the equalizer to the rear I would hear almost nothing but bass. After an update at the dealer, not long after I noticed my subwoofer was putting out much less power. I tried moving equalizer to the rear and I barely had any bass it almost all came from the mids or if i put the equalizer directly in the center. After explaining this to my dealer service rep he explained that it could be a thing that dodge did via the update so that when you would move the equalizer the subwoofer would automatically reduce itself so that "people wouldn't blow their speakers". Not really buying this I took it to another dealer and they said it was a "broken radio signal something" I forgot the actual name, but after first spending $85 they could probably fix the issue. After that experience I thought maybe just upgrading the already pretty decent stock system with factory amp to an aftermarket amp and aftermarket subwoofer. If you have any insight on this the help to me would be invaluable on what I should do. Any recommendations? Or any one knows how to fix this particular issue I would greatly greatly appreciate. Thanks!
I had a self-amplified sound bar installed in the back of my ford pickup and I used a high low converter to convert the higher amped signal from my factory speaker wires to the lower amped signal requirement for the sound bar input. But there is a great deal of distortion in the sound bar when I play it through the factory radio. Playing it through Bluetooth is crisp and clear. Why? Can I clean up the radio audio through the sound bar by maybe using a better high to low converter? Why does audio distort from high to low?
Good advise Guys! You spoke about damping the doors. How is that actually done? I want to do that but I don't know exactly what to use or to do. Thanks
Why does my car audio system's rear left speaker isn't working but the rear right speaker is working?By the way,it is a 30+ year old car though. Its the Nissan Sunny with the SONY old car radio in it.
OAX1502, 1500WRMS @ 1ohm, Twin 12" 600WRMS subwoofers, Box tuned to 32hz in a sedan, With rear side port, sould i face my box to the rear or semi-seal to face cabin.... Will my woofers facing forward, help me hear a more punchy feel, while having the low end tune rather then facing the rear? Haven't installed my woofers and box yet, because i need to know this one question.
I have a project daily 1983 e28 535i bmw race car project were talking 284 Cam on a ported/polished SETA 885 head, FI, Meth injection, e85, carbon fiber driveshaft and aluminum CV Axles carbon fiber hood, roof and trunk ETC. Etc. I'm working on and just want decent speakers. More interested in sound clarity than Bass. Not looking to spend a lot of money but maybe $150-250. Basically I'm asking what's a decent speaker to buy for crystal clear sound and some bass. I listen to everything except blue grass, yodeling, and noise rock. But typically stick with old school east coast hip hop, blues, and heavy metal/ classic rock.
Hey guys, have you ever tried using fiberglass insulation inside doors for absorbtion of the rear wave? To make sure it wont get wet and moldy, you can wrap and seal it around with 1 mill plastic painter's cloth. Lower midrange and midbass is dramatically improved even further with this step.
Better sound is about soundstage , imaging and dynamic power. Use good quality head, amps with good power supply (1/2 ohm stable) and align your speakers in front so that sound reaches th ears from each side at the same time (time align by putting mids and tweeters in kick panel area).
Q&A I have two rockford fosgate p3 12s with one kicker 1200 watt amp and sometimes that amp gets too hot and cuts off even when I turned It down what could be the problem?
I just learned something thank you very much guys you can go to home depot and buy somebody at tape and put it around your door speakers between the door panel indeed speaker itself thank you very much for that tip

I have JL Audio C2 - 350 x in my Dash their power range is 10-40 watts RMS (75 watts peak). I have JL evolution C2 series 5.25 component speakers in the front they are Peak 200 Watts per set or 100 watts each RMS 120 per set or 60 watts each. I have JL C2 -650 6.5 component speakers and they have the same wattage and RMS as the Evolution C2 in the rear. what kind of amp should I get?
How manny battery's, alternators, and capacitors, will I need (and what types) if I have 1 sundown audio zv4 12 dual 1 ohm 4 Pioneer TS-B400PRO 6 Pioneer TS-M650PRO I don't know what amps I should get anything you recommend that is about the same price range as the speakers should be fine 1999 vw golf thank you for any help you offer and any advice
2014 Tundra with a custom 270 amp. Factory speakers but I want to upgrade the entire system. Budget is open. I want more base and still have balance. Currently have a Rockford Fosgate amp with 2 12" subs that I've kind outgrown. I want to keep the box but upgrade the subs as well. Im looking into DS18 for the brand to stick with but want to know yalls opinion.
hi ihave a sonycdx700 in a toyota van what sub and amp should i use i mainly play old time reggeaand dont want a rib shatering bass just a nice easy bass my buget is £50-100
Can you do an explanation of how to get higher fidelity sound at high vs low volume application? In my example I have 1 10” sub and 6x9’s in the front and 6.5’s in the back.
I have polk 6/12 component sets in all my doors running off a polk 660 amp and they sound weak. My car had factory baffles which I couldn't put back in, Or the door panel wouldn't fit back on the car. I can't wait to go get some of that weatherstrip tape. Can i put one layer under the lip of the speaker where it mounts into the door than another between the door panel and the speaker ? And also to make a good seal between the front of the woofer and the door panel, Should I attach the foam to the plastic door panel ? Or around the front of the woofer while its mounted into the door?
So I have 2 sundown sa 12s on 2k with a stock battery but I don't know what battery to get or if I should add a second battery or if I replace the factory one
Hey guys, I have a 1993 80 series Land Cruiser, and I recently bought a Sony MEX-N4150BT radio. The car 4 factory installed 4 inch speakers at the front and has holes in the rear for 6.5 inch speakers. The previous owner had a Clarion APA4204 amplifier installed. I'd like to re-wire the car and install after market speakers. Where I stay (Tanzania) options are limited. The shop I bought the radio from also had these speakers in stock Sony xs n1620c (component speakers 60rms), Sony Xs n6940 ( 6x9 90 rms) and Sony Xs n1640 (50rms). There are a few more options if I look around. I don't have a Subwoofer in the car. What would be your recommendations for a decent sounding music system that won't break the bank. Do you even use 4 inch speakers anymore? How important is a sub? Should I buy component speakers? Any information you can give would be great guys, thanks for the great work you're doing.
I have a 08 Pontiac G8 with Blaupunt 11 speaker system, it has 2 8" woofer in rear deck. I am planning on 2 Type R 4ohm dvc....if I use them as free-air and dynamat the rear deck, seat back and some of the trunk 60% coverage(?) How does free-are effect sound or output. I'm mainly wanting SQ. I have to use stock head unit since adapter is $650!
I also have (2) RF T2-412 powered by a Hifonics Brutus elite 1500. what would be the best box and best amp for this application. Im running 0 guage wire back to a Battcap . they are currently in a ground shaker prefab box in my 04 grand am.hat do you suggest and can I come to Valencia and have you do the install.
I got a basic "newbie" question I guess. I have a 2005 Ford f150 that's completely stock. I'm looking top upgrade my head unit and I want a double din DVD player unless I can get the iPad mini install kit lol. Anyway as far as the double din dvd player.... the features that I "must have" would be aux input, USB port, & Bluetooth. I'm not sure at the moment what else I would want but I do want the flexibility to be able to connect two head rest monitors to this head unit eventually. As of right now I was wondering if you guys could list 3 units you would suggest... in a good, better, and best scenario? I'm ready to spend around $400-450 but I'm willing to put in a little more for a really good head unit. Thank you!
I’m wanting to know if I need a BIG 3 upgrade if I get 2 10” alpine type s and a hifonics 1500d amp for my 2006 Ford f 150 super crew cab cause my last setup broke my alternator
I have a Skar evl 12 dual 2. I have it hooked up to a Skar rp 1500.1. I have the sub wired up for a 1 ohm load. I bought a qbomb prefab ported box. My question is what free software is out there to design a box and do you have any really lengthy videos on how to build a box. I have never built a box and would like to.
I have a 97 Nissan hard body reg. cab bucket seats with a HF Brutus BRE1100.1D amp 1100 watts RMS@1ohm $500-600 budget on subs n enclosure. What would get me the most boom for my zoom? Could I do a blow through enclosure with my budget if I install myself or even build the enclosure(detailed blueprint needed)? I listen to a variety genres.(rock, rap, country, blues
I have a 2001 Silverado z71 with stock everything and the bass is terrible in my fronts so I had to switch to the back doors for my bass and it doesn't give me the boom factor I want when I use my fronts it sound scratchy or fuzzy and doesn't thump at all is there any way to fix this for free or very cheap
If I'm going to be running a 1200 watt rms mono to my subs and a 360 watt rms 4 channel to my speakers how do I split the power? On my mono I have true 0 gauge wire but the 4 channel needs 8 gauge. How do I wire them both?
Hey I have a 12 inch solo x put in a custom 2 cubic feet ported enclosure ...I want to buy a new amplifier ....I currently have the lanzar max1600 giving 2000 watts peak ...I am willing to pay anywhere from 150 -250 dollars on amp ....what amp do recommend for my subwoofer
on a 5 channel amp when it says 75w x4 & 300w x1 @ 4 ohms. then 100w x4 & 600w x 1 @ 2 ohms . do you have to connect the 4 channel side on 2ohms in order to get 100w for the 4 channel side or is it all determined by how the 5th channel is configured 4 ohms or 2 ohms?
I have a 2014 Chevy Cruze LTZ with navigation and I want to keep the stock stereo just in case I trade it back in. Want to replace the 4 door speakers and spend about a hundred bucks a pair kicker or Rockford six and a half was wondering if I should run in damp to the component speakers in the door? And if so would 50-watt 4-channel sound ordnance amp from Crutch field do the trick? Thank you and right now I can turn my volume all the way up to 45 just not loud enough really no distortion but I'd like it to be louder what do you recommend without adding a subwoofer at this point
quick question, I was looking to purchase the nvx 800 watt 4 channel amp, my issue is I own the. jbls 600c components which are rated @ 3 ohms, and installing a SVC 2 ohm elemental design 10" sub.. can this setup work on a 4 channel amp? basically use 2 channels for components, and 1 channel for SVC sub @ 2 ohms??
Hi guys, great video's keep them coming... Query I have a 2015 BMW F33 2.0D. Looking to add a 1500rms sub amp to a double 10" box, do you think I need to add another battery to this setup or will the existing factory battery be sufficient? And Is there any other do's and dont's or advise you can share with me in this convertible installation?
hi I have a 2011 ram 1500. I want to upgrade my 4 door speakers. looking at 2 6x9 alpine type r and 2 5.25 type r. powered by a 900 watt crunch class d amplifier rms at 115x4 at 4ohm. with stock alpine head unit. would this combo work well together?
i searched all my sources to find the adapter and you seem to be running into the same problem as me. i have a 2006 acura tsx and they just do not seem to make an adapter for that new of a year model honda.
I have a high/low adapter but that is to add on a amplifier to my stock head unit, I'm looking for something that will let me keep my stock amp/sub but with a different headunit
I had a system in my car and it sounded amazing. Then I sold the car and got a different one. I've put all the gear I had in my previous car in my new car, and it didn't sound half as good as it did in the previous one. It looks like in the first car everything matched nicely, but in the second car that had a smaller boot it didn't sound as nice. Many people were asking me if I changed something or took something out. But I didn't, all the audio was exactly the same down to the wire. But it still didn't sound as nice, bass was weaker, it didn't sound as clear and it didn't "fill" the car as it did before. So there is definitely something to what you were saying here. Just thought I'd put it out there. :)
mike gunn Like I said, everything was the same as in my previous car. Cables, speakers, ground, amp, fuse. Everything. And ground, alternator, battery were all good. Just different sized booth and different shape of the car. It made a big difference. Not that it matters now, I don't have that car or sound system anymore. That has been years ago.
What subwoofer enclosure would you recommend for duel 12" subwoofers in an vw transporter T5 minivan with all that big open space at the back.. i had a sealed box and then ported box and now im playing around with a 4th order bandpass subbox that i constucted with the sealed and ported boxes i have build before.. my 4th order box is so far the best sounding setup but i know i have got alot of potential.. my subwoofers specs states a 65L enclosure for it and I'm sure that it will be brilliant in a hatchback or smaller vehicle but a 65L box for each subwoofer will get lost and look lonely in the back of my transporter. Help me to get a better understanding of what adjustments i need to do because of the much more space i have..
I got a 03 Honda Odyssey and put a single 10 in db drive and a nemesis 1600.5 and components in the doors and sound great for a work van, I use a sealed box cause there is lots of space. I traded the single 10 from 2 12s and love it. I listen to 80s alternative and 70s classic and a sealed plays more notes. If your banging then definitely ported. Just your opinion on what you personally like
Hi, I got a question. I have a four mids, and four tweeters, I am looking for an amplifier to power them all. I was looking at the Rockford P600X4 600 Watt 4 channel. Puts out 150 watts at 2 ohms per channel. I added it up and I would need at least 140 watts for 1 mid, and 1 tweet, to run on 1 channel. Everything seems fine in my head, but before I buy and try to install anything, my question is, does it matter if I run my mids and highs at 2 ohms? Or should I get two 4 channel amplifiers and run the mids and highs separately at 4 ohms?
Can adding a capacitor help my sound system sound better I'm running a 2000 watt boss amp to a pair of 12 inch CT sounds bio 1.0's also using a soundstream epicenter ?
alright guys, specific question. I don't know that much about car audio, but I had a Sony deck put in with two 6.5" Kicker speakers into my 98 integra and the sony deck does I believe 55x4, so it has a small built in amp. My speakers now peak really easily and I dislike the sound of them. What could be up with them peaking badly? This is on higher volumes, so maybe reducing the ambient noise and possibly having a separate amp for my 4 car speakers to power them better? I don't currently have a sub, but that'll be soon.
The head unit is 55w PEAK. the true rms wattage of a decent head unit is going to be around 20w. So the problem is (believe it or not) your speakers are UNDER-powered. Higher frequencies require much less power than lower ones. so that is why they play louder than your more power hungry mid woofers. add and amp my friend
need help guys, im planing to install a new pair or speakers over factory in my car but while choosing speakers i noticed component speakers are max 50w rms for a good pair but for a rear good pair its 100w rms if i will power those with a high power amp dont u think my front speakers distort after 50rms while rear will not
I have 2 12" 15PR MEMPHIS subwoofer IN A PORTED BOX and a SRX1.500 AMP the front door speakers are the PRX coaxial speakers and I think the back are stock I'm getting a AVH-X491BS INSTALLED IN MY 2007 CHEVY IMPALA IS THAT AMP enough for the subs what do you recommend in speakers or should I just get some PRX 6X9 for the back
David Valdovinos it makes a huge difference when you have put in the work to learn whats right and done the calcuations yourself then asking someone else for the answer.
I have a 2003 toyota corolla s with 2 12in Alpine type R's on a Kenwood kac-9105 900rms at 2 ohms in a prefab box with an xs D4800 2nd battery, big 3 with the NVX kit, alpine type s speaker 6x9 and 6.5 with type R tweeters, pioneer avh-x1500Dvd head unit, audio control epicenter plus, stock alternator, nvx sound dampening in the trunk, well I'm ok with this.system but I want to get louder now thinking about getting oriens or dc or something else and a new amp too but spending about 1800.00$- 2200 around there for new pair of subs and amp. Plus getting new wires too but any suggestions from you guys? Would appreciate it a lot, thanks p.s. all my connections are solid scratch the paint off, nice and sturdy connection and half the installation made in a car audio shop and half by me and a few bass head friends.
I have 4pcs 17cm Pioneer super quality spekaers in my car and Panasonic 4x45w car stereo. Will my sound improve if I put Pioneer 4x50 or 4x55w car stereo?
+Stefan Djordjevic No. That 4x45 or 4x55w are peak powers of the stereos. Those watts are rated at 10%THD distortion, meaning that when you crank up the volume to the max, they will sound like crap. All car stereos output anywhere between 16w-22w RMS. Your sound will improve if you invest in an amplifier, wire it up properly and then you will feel the difference like night and day.
Whats up guys... I had an Alpine Head with a Rockford Fostgate P4004 in my GMC pickup. I sold the truck and have had my equipment, and now my son would like to use it. My head unit is of no interest because it does not have hands free/ Bluetooth. However, and the question is, will my RF p4004 run four speakers and a sub?
hey guys, i have a 2005 jeep wrangler with a 600.1 kicker amp and a kicker solo baric 10" l3 square sub. the rms on my sub is 400 watts and when i turn the volume up on my alpine head unit to about 17 or 18 it starts to sound like a jack hammer. that leads me to bealive that i am putting to much wattage to the sub. my jeep comes stock with the 4 speaker set up but, it has the grill and spot in the center console for a sub, if i added a small kicker with the rms of about 200 do you think that would fix the sound of that my l3 puts out? or should i just get an l7 with a higher rms?
hello I am looking into adding a sub to my system, I was thinking about buying a box and putting a earthquake tremor 10in. in, would I need to add anything toy battery or my after market stereo if I were to do this?
+mike gunn The type of music is irrelevant. You want to reproduce the sound that was recorded as accurately as possible. Very hard to do in a car but not impossible.
I have 2 kicker comp vr 12s (the silver ones with the red k in my 2001 firebird, with a kenwood deck, what would b a good amp to run on those? And I have some cheap Wal-Mart rca. What kind of rca should I run on them? Any help/advice would b much appreciated . Thanks for the great videos
What do you guys think of the under seat sub and amp combo for some one who wants just a little more and dosesnt want a big system? any better options ?
These are awesome! They add some serious bass without sacrificing a lot of space. Obviously one of these seat subs does not substitute three 15" woofers in your boot for all those bassheads out there. But if you are looking for extra oomf without having to upgrade your door speakers I highly recommend an under the seat powered sub.
You guys are speaking sound language and i have to Google some words every-time you say something. I am from south Africa and looking into installing a sound system for my car. I am not looking for something too loud, just for my benefit. I basically can spend R3000 in the whole thing so i am looking for advice on how should i go about building, what brand to buy. I like clarity more than a super bass sound system.
I am looking to buy new speakers for my truck. right now I have 2 6 1/2" kenwoods in the back speakers and 2 6x8's in the front doors. Can you give me recommendations on some good component speakers (for front) with tweeters(trying to go all same brand) and then 2 6x8 speakers in the back. for fairly cheap? I am on like a budget build. This is for a 1998 ford ranger xlt (extended cab) and I have a Kenwood 255U with a Clarion 400watt 4 channel amp. And also wanted to add a 10" subwoofer with a kinda shallow box for the back to fit under the rear cupholder in the middle. Thanks!
both. a large battery will be about as much as an alt depending on your ride. or you can add a secondary battery in the truck area. sonic sells amp add on kits.
rule of thumb is 55 amp hours for every 1000 watts rms your running. Keep in mind, batterys do not make power or current, they only store. It can be used as a band aid solution and should be trickled charge normally if you bump it without a high output alt.
I have a Alpine cd player and speakers and I want hook a equalizer up to the player, can I hook the eq up without an amplifier and how much better will the sound be without an amp?
yes you will need an amp. the head unit is your current amp and adding an equalizer would bypass it by way of line level RCAs. The equalizer runs all in line level (not high level). the $50 clarion equalizer from amazon is great. you wont regret adding an amp if you take your time and install it right. (there are plenty of videos to show you how) getting more power to your speakers will make them perform at their best.
What speakers should I get for a 2001 Denali XL I have 10 gauge wire to every door and I want it to look stock. I'm using a Atomic 400.4 amp and a RF 400.4 with proper size power wires. speakers are 6.5 I would like to use components. and price range around 150 per door
they are all amazing quality i know they have a few available. www.amazon.com/165A1-Focal-Access-Component-Speakers/dp/B004E5OI0U/ref=au_as_r?ie=UTF8&Make=GMC%7C48&Model=Yukon%20XL%201500%7C559&Year=2001%7C2001&carId=003&n=1077068&newCar=1&s=car&vehicleType=automotive
wow i didnt think bout type of wire like copper vs albumin i paid attention to the gauge of the wire but now i got go back and see do i have copper ( red looking) then the ( silver looking) but they seem real shrewd like demanding be more detail with question i mean chances are most people not want to spend 1000 $ just a general idea is all we want, of all other titulars others dont demand questions be ask a certain way be glad that people spend the time to listen what you gotta say
When building a custom ported subwoofer box, how do you decide which frequency to tune it to? I currently have a pair of JBL GT5s in a box that JBL designed for them (JBL GT5-2402BR) But I have been thinking about making my own box to perhaps increase performance, mainly sound quality, and would just like to know how to pick a frequency to tune the box to. The subs are being powered off of an Alpine MRX-M55 rated at 558 watts if that helps. Also the box will be going into a 2001 Ford Explorer Sport.
you shouldn't change a thing. they are designed for that enclosure and the amp matches it precisely. make sure your amp is tuned properly and you can also use an EQ i know it has helped my stock head unit a lot. (i only use stock because mines a sleeper and they don't make aftermarket radio adapters for my car) if you can sell those id upgrade to more powerful and or larger subs if you want them to be deeper and louder. sealed will offer you more tight accurate bass while ported can offer somewhat accurate bass it can be (to the ear) louder.
I have a 2003 mustang I want a dramatic sub system with the sound to back it up what would y'all recommend I love the kicker l7 15 in in a bedlinered ported box my brother has two in his Durango it's powerfull but is there a better system for the money?
hello, i have a 98 nissan altima, everything is stock i havent changed anything, that being said 2 of my speakers blew out and the other 2 are on there way out. i want to buy new speakers with as good base and treb as i can afford, i dont want to spend more then 300 dollars total ,what would you recommend for wires ,speakers, basically everything on my 300 dollar budget, also i already bought a new faceflate so i dont need to buy another one. and cani use the current speaker wire, shoukd i buy a separate battery, i wouldnt mind buying a bade speaker also if that makes any sense, thanks
Hey guys I have a 2013 hyundia Santa few unlimited. It comes with a factory system name infinity and they sound really good. I want to upgrade the sound by using a off the market amplifier. One for the four doors speakers & the tweeters. It also came with a 10" subwoofer that I also want to upgrade with a amplifier. Can please tell me the best amplifiers I can get ? My budget $350. Also I want another 10" or 12 " subwoofer and clarion equalizer . Can you please help me,thanks
my question is what is the best amp you can spend on for your minds and highs and then the next best thing that can do close to that but not 2 much of a killer in the pocket? only asking this due to the fact ill be running 2 amps to 2 of my sp4 18s I have. going to get help for the gain on the 2 amps to only be pushing 3k each since the subwoofers only recommend 3k rms and my amps are 4300 rms at 1 ohm
Checkout the rockford power multi channel amps. Best in quality and VERY underrated amps. For your setup your gonna need power and pro audio speakers to keep up with that system especially if your amps are actually pushing what you say. Also check out crescendo's pro speakers for some speakers that handle that power.
Hertzsogood they are. I have 5 100 amp hour batterys a lot of 0 gauge wire 1 alt from DC power that puts out 320 amps and front battery that's going to be switched soon when I find the right size battery I can fit in the santa fe front engine spot
I run my mids and hi's off a 5 Channel Hifonics You can find em On ebay for around $200 www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=hifonics+mono&_from=R40&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR11.TRC1.A0.H0.Xhifonics+5&_nkw=hifonics+5&_sacat=0
CXWXB777 don't want a 5 channel to the fact ill be running my subs off of 2 mono blocks atm 5 channel is mostly ment for subs+ speakers and not that great as well. if anything weak on the speaker power input. im still looking into it but I might as well get a A/B amp. atm im thinking of getting 2 Q2-200s and go from there putting out a little over 1300 rms to my 8 speakers ill be placing in my suv. running off of crossfire xs-m8s. over all your idea cxwxb777 is not a bad idea but to the fact I have 2 3500s there is no need for the 5 channel amp 4 channel 2 channel or A/B is what I would be looking at that has full range
Thanks!
love how many points these guys are covering. Just discovered this channel
Is it necessary to add a 7 band equalizer or preamp or will a line driver be goos enough
Great info guys some people really don't understand that the smallest things also count in car audio.
Thanks!
Awesome vid. Very helpful
Good advice on directing the sound out the doors with the foam strips. Going add those strips and check out that difference. Good topics.
Thanks
Great job guys! Very professional an informative.
going to do the foam ring thing to my door speakers! great tips thanks
I have 4 channels Sony amp 1200w, 2 speakers 120w rms (each) and 1 sub 380w rms..
How to tune the right voltage with multimeter please!
Look it up on RUclips. There’s a channel with a guy that does it. How to set your gains with a multi meter.
Im gonna doing like the video, for safety im gonna turn down very little bit, be sure to not send more power to the speakers
Awesome video keep em coming!!
Ayyyyyyy I see that ws6 tat, go firebirds! Long live Pontiac!!!!!!!
Is adding my 7 band equalizer good for my car system or should I simply rely on the equalizer that's built in the aftermarket radio?
Heathen The Heretic i been looking for that answer for years now!
Heathen The Heretic i recently experimented by removing a 4 band eq and ended using my kenwood head unit directly to my amps and yielded great results
Love the WS6 tat!
Do not do this lol honestly man just go get speed rings and a road ring it's closed cell foam u stick in the door, they work good
Pretty good video. Thumbs up
Better sound is about soundstage , imaging and dynamic power.
What material would you use to make a sub box, if you were wanting it to be as light as possible?
great video, that was very helpful, thanks
I have a kia cerato 2014, my budget is $500 on speakers and subs, i listen mainly to old schools 90's rap. Whats is the best speakers to get ?
Which one is better to use in a sound system usb or bluetooth ?
okay here's my question I have a 2006 dodge RAM 1500 crew cab and I want to install a amp for my speakers but I don't know what kind of amp to get here is the speakers that I have and I am looking to send no more then 400 on an amp but cheaper is always better. I have JL C2 -650 6.5 component speakers and they have the same wattage and RMS as the Evolution C2 in the rear. what kind of amp should I get?
what kind of amp should i use for mtx terminators 2 10 inch subs in a 1997 camry and price range $200
How manny battery's, alternators, and capacitors, will I need (and what types) if I have
1 sundown audio zv4 12 dual 1 ohm

1999 vw golf thank you for any help you offer and any advice
How do you attach the foam gasket you spoke about to the front of the speaker and how do you get it to retain a circular shape?
You can get that foam with an adhesive backing!!
the foam is easily pliable and has an adhesive it squishes down a lot but creates a wonderful seal.
Awesome so I should line it up with the speaker then attach it to the door panel then?
or you can attach it to the door panel. poke holes where the screws go and attach it. a little overhang on both sides is fine it wont hurt anything.
So I have 2 sundown sa 12s on 2k with a stock battery but I don't know what battery to get or if I should add a second battery or if I replace the factory one
hi guys does a SRX1.500 Memphis amp put out enough Watts for my 2 15PR 12" Memphis subs? please respond would appreciate it
Hey guys, I have a 1993 80 series Land Cruiser, and I recently bought a Sony MEX-N4150BT radio.

I need some speakers for my ford f150 .. Size is 5x7 .. What would be a good set of door speakers for $120 or lower a pair ?
Thank you!
My head unit has a Sub input that just like av inputs but black. I'm not sure if it's for older gen subs or for other accessories?
I have a 2001 Silverado z71 with stock everything and the bass is terrible in my fronts so I had to switch to the back doors for my bass and it doesn't give me the boom factor I want when I use my fronts it sound scratchy or fuzzy and doesn't thump at all is there any way to fix this for free or very cheap
If I'm going to be running a 1200 watt rms mono to my subs and a 360 watt rms 4 channel to my speakers how do I split the power? On my mono I have true 0 gauge wire but the 4 channel needs 8 gauge. How do I wire them both?
I'm lucky. The took some of my speaker grill off on the right side of my 2002 Alero and the speaker is like right under the grill so WIN!
Hello mate , I have Orion avr6.1 but I don't have the wire loom can u help me here plz

Thank you and right now I can turn my volume all the way up to 45 just not loud enough really no distortion but I'd like it to be louder what do you recommend without adding a subwoofer at this point
quick question, I was looking to purchase the nvx 800 watt 4 channel amp, my issue is I own the. jbls 600c components which are rated @ 3 ohms, and installing a SVC 2 ohm elemental design 10" sub.. can this setup work on a 4 channel amp? basically use 2 channels for components, and 1 channel for SVC sub @ 2 ohms??
i havent seen a aftermarket stereo install for a 2008 dodge grand caravan sxt
Hi guys, great video's keep them coming...
Query
I have a 2015 BMW F33 2.0D. Looking to add a 1500rms sub amp to a double 10" box, do you think I need to add another battery to this setup or will the existing factory battery be sufficient?
And Is there any other do's and dont's or advise you can share with me in this convertible installation?
I have 2 pioneer pro champ and a 3000 whatts amp real 3000 what kind of box sound better? the fiber glass or wood or cardboard
hi I have a 2011 ram 1500. I want to upgrade my 4 door speakers. looking at 2 6x9 alpine type r and 2 5.25 type r. powered by a 900 watt crunch class d amplifier rms at 115x4 at 4ohm. with stock alpine head unit. would this combo work well together?
How do I keep my stock amplifier and subwoofer in my 2008 Honda civic si (non naviagation) when I replace the head unit to a double din?
i searched all my sources to find the adapter and you seem to be running into the same problem as me. i have a 2006 acura tsx and they just do not seem to make an adapter for that new of a year model honda.
High/low impedence adapter
I would up grade my alternator and do the big three up grade that will make a big differences in the sound
mike gunn Like I said, everything was the same as in my previous car.
Just your opinion on what you personally like
Question: How to tune 1000 watt amp with 12"in sub (listen to mostly Spanish music)? I like to hear vocals over base?
Sealed box for sure. I set my Gain at 80 to 100 on my highs to
I thought JL stealth boxes are specific built and tuned for each vehicle they are for.
Hey I have a pontiac G6 put a aftermarket radio in there do I need the Gm info kit or can just do the radio thanks justin
Higher frequencies require much less power than lower ones. so that is why they play louder than your more power hungry mid woofers. add and amp my friend
need help guys, im planing to install a new pair or speakers over factory in my car but while choosing speakers i noticed component speakers are max 50w rms for a good pair but for a rear good pair its 100w rms if i will power those with a high power amp dont u think my front speakers distort after 50rms while rear will not
I have 2 12" 15PR MEMPHIS subwoofer IN A PORTED BOX and a SRX1.500 AMP the front door speakers are the PRX coaxial speakers and I think the back are stock I'm getting a AVH-X491BS INSTALLED IN MY 2007 CHEVY IMPALA IS THAT AMP enough for the subs what do you recommend in speakers or should I just get some PRX 6X9 for the back
and at what ohms do you recommend I don't know much about any of that
David Valdovinos recomend u do some research and find out for yourself lol
Would I need to upgrade my 1998 Honda Civic alt with a 2500 Rockford amp pushing 2 12 sa 2400w
I have 4pcs 17cm Pioneer super quality spekaers in my car and Panasonic 4x45w car stereo. Will my sound improve if I put Pioneer 4x50 or 4x55w car stereo?
+Stefan Djordjevic
No.
However, and the question is, will my RF p4004 run four speakers and a sub?
bought new speakers, car radio n sub woofer with amp. still distortion when volume is high. do I need an equalizer to fix this
+jay love no just have 2 tune the deck amp right and make sure u work the speakers in right
hey guys, i have a 2005 jeep wrangler with a 600.1 kicker amp and a kicker solo baric 10" l3 square sub. the rms on my sub is 400 watts and when i turn the volume up on my alpine head unit to about 17 or 18 it starts to sound like a jack hammer. that leads me to bealive that i am putting to much wattage to the sub. my jeep comes stock with the 4 speaker set up but, it has the grill and spot in the center console for a sub, if i added a small kicker with the rms of about 200 do you think that would fix the sound of that my l3 puts out? or should i just get an l7 with a higher rms?
hello I am looking into adding a sub to my system, I was thinking about buying a box and putting a earthquake tremor 10in. in, would I need to add anything toy battery or my after market stereo if I were to do this?
I have a suv and I have 2 12 American Bass and is it better to have them facing toward the back or have it the roof of the vehicle to sound better?
+A. Wilson (East Cleveland Dre216) I would move them around to where u like it I leave mine facing the rear of my vehicle
I have a 1989 Grand Marquis, has a huge trunk. what type of enclosure will provide the best bass?
+Andre Magee That depends on the type of music you listen to
+mike gunn The type of music is irrelevant. You want to reproduce the sound that was recorded as accurately as possible. Very hard to do in a car but not impossible.
Could you guys make a video showing how to use a smd cc1?
i second this! love all those products that SMD has come out with!
for just under 1000 watt rms what gauge speaker wire should I be using?
Jesse James for a sub? use 12 gauge just make sure it's OFC wire.... for mids 16 or 14 gauge...
I have a 1800 watts RMS in 4 ga of power wire,and i use a 1 years already.did i need to change?
stephen, hui the wire work ok, not even warm but my amp it is hot , i have 2 battry.
Thanks!
Best bang for your buck, would getting a high amp alternator or high amp battery be better? i need to help voltage drop but on a budget.
both. a large battery will be about as much as an alt depending on your ride. or you can add a secondary battery in the truck area. sonic sells amp add on kits.
rule of thumb is 55 amp hours for every 1000 watts rms your running.
I'm using a Atomic 400.4 amp and a RF 400.4 with proper size power wires. speakers are 6.5 I would like to use components. and price range around 150 per door
i recommend the 6.5 focal component set i have personally listened to them and have heard nothing else but good things about them.
XmackattackX what model number?
they are all amazing quality i know they have a few available. www.amazon.com/165A1-Focal-Access-Component-Speakers/dp/B004E5OI0U/ref=au_as_r?ie=UTF8&Make=GMC%7C48&Model=Yukon%20XL%201500%7C559&Year=2001%7C2001&carId=003&n=1077068&newCar=1&s=car&vehicleType=automotive
XmackattackX thank you I will definitely try these out

I'm
wow i didnt think bout type of wire like copper vs albumin i paid attention to the gauge of the wire but now i got go back and see do i have copper ( red looking) then the ( silver looking) but they seem real shrewd like demanding be more detail with question i mean chances are most people not want to spend 1000 $ just a general idea is all we want, of all other titulars others dont demand questions be ask a certain way be glad that people spend the time to listen what you gotta say
(i only use stock because mines a sleeper and they don't make aftermarket radio adapters for my car)
if you can sell those id upgrade to more powerful and or larger subs if you want them to be deeper and louder. sealed will offer you more tight accurate bass while ported can offer somewhat accurate bass it can be (to the ear) louder.
look up how to use winisd pro on youtube. Done right, your home made box would blow that factory prefab out of the water.
I have a 2003 mustang I want a dramatic sub system with the sound to back it up what would y'all recommend I love the kicker l7 15 in in a bedlinered ported box my brother has two in his Durango it's powerfull but is there a better system for the money?
Sound qubed hdc 3 cheap and much better more powerful more quality plus you can recone this subs
sundown x 18's or the sa series would do, no matter the equipment you use, weather it be pyle or focal, building a box to spec will pay off huge.

Hertzsogood I have the video of me unboxing my 1 amp. getting my 2nd one soon.
Tell me the best rear speaker ?my rear channel amp out is 75w rms.
I just want good sound not too loud on the bass
