CORRECTION: in bar riff ''20'' (and similar) the last note is a B NATURAL.
The riff in bar 20 doesn't have a B natural in it, the notes in that bar are A, C and D. B doesn't appear until bar 21. Also the riff in bar 16 is just A on bass. Although guitar goes to D and Eb, bass doesn't follow :)

How the hell does Robert manage to play this without using a pick
He does use a pick sometimes

I asked the same question when he did , spit out the bone , that song longer. Maby Robert just talented bass player, same as geezer , bass player from black Sabbath. They got some type of style , with how they pick fast with there hands. Very impressive playing to.
Finger style is just as fast, it’s just a matter of learning the technique
@@BrainWasherAttendent yeah you can play just as fast but it's more complicated to be that precise with the notes, although this song it's not as difficult as I thought after playing it for some time

I noticed some bass covers just have one note playing consistently rather than the two separate notes on the tail of the riff. Why is this and which is correct?

Where is this punch in the original song? Why don't they use bass sound little higher?
Because Lars wants the doublebass-drum so loud that there is no sonic space left for bassguitar in the mix

Very nice cover! This is kind of old-school metal. To me it very strongly evokes Rainbow's "Kill the King" (which is, however, a better song). But still I like this one. Some nice pic exercise there too!

Great cover but I see you are using a pick. Doesn’t Rob play fingerstyle or does he do both depending on the song? Does anyone know the answer? Anyway, subscribed for future content and keep it coming!
I've seen him use a pick once when they were making death magnetic or something, but i doubt that he plays with a pick on this one. Definitely would like to know the answer
In the music video he plays with his fingers and on the recording I'm pretty sure he's using his fingers, sounds like it to me, but lets be honest, it's not a easy song to play with fingers

I’m guessing the ‘pick’ playing is more a preference thing, cos apart from Rob is more of a finger style player, I’ve just played along with this video and watching the tab, playing along with the song for the 1st time on bass, cos I’m trying to learn it on guitar as well, but on bass, it’s definitely doable in finger style playing
