I own an airfit f3.0 i mask with a resmed airsense 10 machine. I love it. Can the mask be adapted to work using a battery powered resmed mini machine for camping and travel.

Got this mask 2 days ago so I have 2 sleeps in. It is THE most comfortable mask I have ever tried. Almost like not wearing one at all. Yes I do get some leaks but I think all masks leak at one place or another. The head gear size Medium is fine. The other I've tried medium, then small, then back to medium. Just can't decide which one is more comfortable for the full night. 5 Stars for this Resmed F30i mask!

Hello Nick, I'm glad you have decided to review this particular mask. With the mirage quattro full face mask I was having 11 apneas an hour. After using the F30i I went down to 4 Apneas an hour. Great mask and less bulky than the Mirage Quattro.

Just started using this mask. I started with the nose pillow type and quickly realize I am very much a mouth breather. This mask is fantastic. My first night was a 99/100 score on my air step 11 machine. Extremely comfortable and making the training on using a CPAP very easy.

My skin is very sensitive to the silicone but, I made this work. After trying six different mask this is my favorite of them all. I modified a mask cover to keep the mask from touching my skin. I also brought strap covers for the frame. The head gear is awesome, allows me to rollover, and get comfortable, without getting tangled up in the tubing. The F30i and climate control tubing have me sleeping better than I have in the past two years. I wish I had tried this mask first, it would have made the start of my sleep therapy, so much easier. The right size mask makes a world of difference. I started with a medium and switched to a small-wide. The small-wide is so comfortable and will definitely be my replacement mask for here on out.

Thanks Nick for the review. I’ve been using this mask for almost 2 years, it’s the best mask so far. Only problem is that the connection between the frame and the mask would crack after 4 to 5 months and needs to be replaced. Resmed only provides warranty for only 3 months here in Canada!

I got this mask from a provider who was given a Rx from my doctor who spent a whooping 15 minutes showing me how to use the resvent 20A & gave me a F30i mask & sent me on my way. I have tried to get a seal with this
😊for 4 days with no luck. It is really frustrating. I also feel like my lungs are being blown out & my chest hurts like I am having an asthma attack. Your videos explain more than the doctor & the mask provider’s clinic. Thank you!

I’ve had this mask for one year. Using a small frame with a small-wide cushion. I think my frame may be too small as it leaves me with a lot of face marking in the morning. But otherwise it is the best mask I’ve ever tried and have achieved 6+ hours a night with the mask for the entire year since the switch. Previous masks were dreamweaver and F30. Liked the F30 cushion but hated the hose off the front weighing it down. The dreamweaver was too delicate and leaked - but loved the hose off the top. So I knew as soon as I saw it the F30i would be perfect and it is. Not sure what I would do without this mask

They replied and so I am taking the chance. I hope this solves my issues, because I really need this therapy to work, I lose more energy every day not getting proper sleep.

I use a F30M mask. I like it because it doesn't have to be very tight against my face in order to seal. It has the cloth-elastic headgear. What I DON'T like are the magnetic latches on the bottom of the mask. since I sleep on my side, it's easy to pop them off and have the mask to start leaking. The Respironics mask that I had in the past snapped on and stayed on much better.

I liked the suggestion of going to clinic and buy the mask. It’s late for me and I bought it online. When I was placing order online for frame, it was showing just standard size and them large size so I called the online support of that vendor. The representative suggested to go with standard size as that is most appropriate size for most. When I received the mask I feel it’s too tight on my nose even after loosening the frame. I rarely use this mask now and often switch back to ResMed AirTouch F20 that i feel more comfortable and gives good sleep score.

I have an F30 mask and have bought liners from Silentnight at 6 quid each which only last for a week and are rough on the skin, then from Padacheek a piece of cloth with a few holes cut in it for 40 quid! Then I thought, hang on, I could do that much cheaper. I just need it to protect my skin from the mask so I borrowed a cotton face mask from my sister and she cut two holes for nose and mouth, clipped it over my ears then put the F30 over it. Works fine. You can get them for 1 or 2 quid and they are washable. Give it a try. Also found that the mask slips forward and so doesn't stay firmly on the nose, especially a problem when sleeping. Bought some large velcro cable ties and connected the front and back headstraps, tightened it to a secure and comfortable position and it works fine and stays in position through the night. Great to be able to use the F30 as it is the most comfortable and the full face one brings out a nasty rash on my nose.

Thanks for your well-made, and thoughtful videos. And that's wise advice about seeing the sleep clinic. I haven't been to one in several years because I no longer have insurance. But it's probably worth it to do so, because like you said, they're gonna know how to get the correct sizes of all the gear, and fit it properly, etc. And if we just keep buying cheaply, we're gonna end up in a cheap, unsupported situation.

    • @CPAPReviews

Hi there, thanks for your comment and kind words. For some masks i think it's okay but for this mask in particular probably best to get fitted up in a clinic. There's a similar mask by Philips called the dreamwear full that you can get in a fitpack which comes with all the size cushions included. I'd be more confident in ordering that one online :). Have a great day. Nick

Your correct, I have found this unit to be the best of a bad bunch. I agree it is everything positive. Struggling with minor issues is the least of my problems. The only negative aspect is I use a contoured memory foam pillow which I believe provides too much resistance when lying on my side. It then counteracts this with ramping up the oxygen flow unnecessarily. Otherwise the mask is the best so far.

I have this mask with a AirSense 10 CPAP machine. The MyAire numbers were declining on a night-by-night basis when decided it was time give up CPAP treatment forever. G’day, Nick! I just got this mask at my most recent sleep study. Also, my first full-faced (I’ve been using the Phillips Dreamwear). I’ve experimented a bit with cushion sizes. Pretty much settled on SW. That said, later in the night (not immediately) I start to get discomfort in my septum. I loosened the straps a bit to alleviate the discomfort, then the mask leakage begins. I’m in a bit of a quandary.
Also, I’m used to the quick connect/release of the elbow to the tubing from my Dreamwear and the f30i doesn’t have this feature. I saw a third party quick connect/release, so maybe I’ll try that if I stay with this mask.
Having the tubing at the top of my head is the game changer for me. (As well as the air flow down both sides of the assembly).
    Thanks for all you do!
    Cheers!
    David 🍻

I just got this mask yesterday. Wore it for the first time last night, I was using the ResMed Mirage Liberty. I slept ok but not great, but I think that's just me needing to get used to the new mask. The one thing I wish they would do is make a bigger head gear(the straps). I have an unusually large noggin and even with the straps almost all the way released it's still really tight. I'm hoping they'll stretch and give a better fit after some use. So far though, after one night I'm liking it.

It has started out fine and my machine says the seal is good but then once my ramp time is up and I kick into the full pressure (I’m on a pressure 14) it just leaks and makes noise and rattles and drives me crazy. I lasted 39 minutes with it last night and threw it across the room.

I went with this mask as I have had basal cell removed from the bridge, end, and tip of my nose and and didn't want a full mask going across my nose. Also claustrophobic. I doing good with this mask, but it may take you a few different sizes to find what's best for you. I'm using a medium. I miss using the Mirage Liberty though.

I just ordered one through the VA. I have the P30i and N30i and I love the N30i the most but with both of them I wake up a lot with the mask on top of my nose or on my forehead. Really annoying and last night was the event that caused me to message the VA sleep clinic to try the F30i. I figure with it having the second strap with the magnets may help with it creeping up. I run the climate line on my air sense 11 and the humidity is on auto and feels great so not sure if I am pulling it off or it’s getting pushed off from my pillow and my active sleeping.

I just started using this mask. I like it except it do get air whooshing out of leaks and have to adjust it a lot early one when putting in on. But also, if my nose itches and I just have to scratch it, I found if I can lift the mask up from the bottom a little, it doesn't mess with how it fits on your nose, so you don't have to take it off and start over again. Prior to this, I was using the N30i that just goes under your nose. But it was constantly shifting and I had really bad dry mouth. The F30i stay in place even if I'm sleeping on my side.

I would encourage customers to talk with their consultants regarding other prices online and meet at a price where the cilnic still makes a little money to employ staff, pay leases etc but at the same time you then get quality support when you need it. I do feel that if you started having a lot of issues and needed some assistance the guy on amazon wouldn't want to know about it but i can certainly see the appeal saving over $1000 dollars. Anyway, my advice was really regarding this mask with respect to the sizing but i get your point. Cheers

I did my sleep study with the clinic and they funny care. Just want to pawn of crappy over priced resmed machines to people. I've had the worse experiences with sleep clinics in canada. Tried to switched clinics, they want me to do over the sleep study I just did and buy the machine from them. Worse experience, took my 3 months to finally get a machine because the places that had it don't wanna help you, even though I had a prescription. They want you to do the whole thing over with them. What a corrupt industry. I hope they choke on the machines, themselves.

Hello! I have some input and comments, plus a couple questions about this mask. I have been using a CPAP system for over 3 years now, a Phillips Dream Station ( yes the recalled one and although I " signed up" in June two 2021I haven't received my replacement yet as of January 29 2023 ) with the F20 ResMed full face mask. I went with trying this one as the F20 would sometimes leak as I move from side to back to other side a couple times per night. I also get irritation on the bridge of the nose the first 2 weeks with a new mask but not after that. 2 Nights ago, after receiving the new F30i I tried it out. At first I was surprised at how good it felt and fit. One immediate " issue " is that there is a slight "Whoosh " of air apparently from the vents where the frame connects to the mask ( there doesn't appear to be any flaps to the vent so quite a bit of the air coming through the hose and the frame's tubes is spewing out of those vents. There is some noise although it's not enough to keep me awake but the air hitting my arm or shoulder etc. is noticeable even though I think I could become used to it. What really had me concerned was my Dram Station has a water tank and the hose has a heating wire that keeps the moist air from being too cold. After a fw hours of sleep I awoke because my nose and mouth were completely dried out. I never wanted the heated hose but the humidifier is great. Does this mask not work with a humidifier maybe because of the extra length of the tubing in the headgear or is the air rushing out of the mask vents causing the dryness. I also had a sore lower nose likely because I may have had too much tension on the headgear adjustment straps but maybe also because I have never had anything pushing up on the bottom of my nose?

Hi Nick, my hubby uses a full face mask as he's nowon a BiPAP machine (due to lung problems) and he has nothing but bother with the seal. Before moving onto the BiPAP, he was on an AirSense 10 or 11 and he used the nasal pillows, which he loved, but the nasal pillows are not recommended for the BiPAP machine. This sounds like the perfect solution as he also really liked the fact that the air part was on top of the head too. Thanks for another great review. 🙂
