Hey Mike! Planning to get this cooler for my r5 3600. Can I do all this with the mobo staying in the case, or do I have to disassemble everything to mount it? I have a b450m mobo.
I've been an Electrician and PC Hobbyist both for over 23 years and this is the first video where I've seen what myself and my coworkers call the CAD advantage technique where he explains by reversing the thread a turn you hear the screw click the screws designers actually angle the thread start so that it clicks louder in some types loved hearing this detail great vid thanks!
i'm mounting my first pc and was having trouble with this cooler. Thank you for your help, it was an excelent and clear guide. You got yourself a new subscriber, take care!
Amazing budget cooler. I recently bought i5 12400 and with stock cooler in cinebench R23 test my temps were hitting 100c on most of the cores. After installing this cooler and testing in cinebench my temps were averaging on 50c with max one of the core hitting 64c. These are amazing temps for a budget air cooler.
Thank you very much! This is my first time building a PC. I've watched a lot of builds, but no one ever mentions how much to tighten the screws. I was worried about tightening them too much, so I'm glad they can't be overtightened. Thanks!
3:02 Thank you SO much for mentioning this. I was doing a repair on my pc and wondering why the bracket wouldnt screw in properly. turns out, i was using the intel fine thread screws instead of the amd course thread ones
Thank you sir for the detailed walkthrough of the process. My 5600x was overheating so I picked one of these I had no idea which parts were for which MB type.
Happy holidays! thought i would get the review and install guide out on day one so if someone is considering buying one they can see how easy it is to install
No come on...it can't be that easy to install!? 😆 That's the right size cooler I could stand behind. Just the right amount of cooling capacity for the CPU's I have. Generally between 35 and 65 watts. Probably cool higher wattage CPU's as well?. I'm thinking up to 95 watts? Great review as always from the Dynamic Duo. Take care guys. Cheers
Nice video, I know it was uploaded a year ago, but this helped me understand how to install it. I have a Stock AM4 cooler for my Ryzen 5 3600 and Idle Temps are around 45-50s, in game it is at 80-85.
I got the deepcool ak400 zero dark plus for my AMD4 Processor, And When I Was setting it up I was very confused when there were bags of different screws, Spacers and some other stuff. I had the right spacers but the wrong Screws and for some reason the AMD screw ones didn't came in with the Orange Spacers but in their own bag. So I grabbed the Screws for INTEL because that's the first one I saw when I was looking for them and the AMD Screws were hidden next to my keyboard. I was struggling for about an hour because the screw just goes deep down and won't screw in. Was about to give up until I watched an video and saw the screws were looking different and I was like "Wait a min there were another set of screws!" And Finally everything else worked out and got it to work and I'm glad I got it and saw the video too lol. I was kinda paranoid when I first got the package and setting it up because I never switched an Cooler and I didn't want to break anything but yeah.
Are this heatsink would fit to Intel CPU motherboards as well? I remember that I used similar heatsink on Intel CPU motherboard but made by Polish brand SilentiumPC. Now I also use AM4 socket motherboard but my heatsink is designed especially for AMD sockets, so it fits perfectly.
Thanks for the straightforward instructions... I'm planning to upgrade the stock ryzen 5 1600 Heat sink, do you think this one could be a good option for it? Thanks again.
How would you best recommend going about installation if the motherboard is already in the case? I presume the back-plate would fall out if you lay the PC down, and it seems like it might be difficult to do standing up and holding the back-plate.
Just installed mine, is the fan an intake fan or an exhaust fan? The instructions and this video I'm pretty sure have it installed as an intake fan, but would it be better to install it as an exhaust fan on the other side?
Good day, Sir. Really love your channel and your technical approach towards pc components. I currently have this on my ryzen 5 5600g. I am planning to upgrade to ryzen 7 5700x and wanted to find out, would this be sufficient to to cool down 8 cores? If not, what would you recommend as a decent cpu cooler for a ryzen 7 5700x? Much gratitude and more power to your channel, Sir!
@@mikesunboxing Thanks for that 😎. I plan to fit it to an Asus x99-s running an i7 5930k inside a limited edition white Bequiet Dark base pro 900 case.
Should that fan be on the side facing the back of th tower, or the front, or doens't matter? Mine is currently facing to the front. I've been having GPU heating issues, and was trying to rule things out.
@@mikesunboxing Can a PSU with not enough juice cause it too? The LEDs on my fan blink occasionally. If i'm working (Adobe software) , occasionally one of the monitors blacks out for a couple seconds. And I've had my headphone bluetooth adapter turn itself off. So I assume I need a stronger PSU anyways. Just wondering if it can also cause overheating if not enough power is going everywhere.
2:03 what spacers are they? Trying to install this particular cooler on this particular socket and I have the ones in black that say "1700" on them. It does screw in but the bracket is completely loose when they are screwed all the way in. And they dont go onto the backplate firmly as in your video, so the only thing I can think of is the wrong type of spacers..
