That’s not post rock, that’s SIGUR RÓS…;-)…with their own genre music style. One of the greatest bands in the poste world❤️🔥! Big Thanx to Jón, Kjartan and George🙏🖖👽
To me, this band is like the nature. Behind the mythic vocals and soul-waking bass, there's a clump of chaotic sounds/noises that are masterfully attuned. Just like the rain, earth quakes, thunder storms - sounds of the nature that are chaotic but harmonious. My poor attempt to put into words.
Seen them last night in London, I never knew music can do THAT to you... And the first time I felt like the set was half the length it should have been.. Absolutely incredible...
I'm not going to lie, I had a tear rolling down my cheek by the end of Saeglopur. It's one of my favorites, but for some reason that performance got me!
Las Vegas 2003 w/ a little mdma. One of..... possibly the most amazing moment of my life. When my life ends I would be elated to spend eternity in those 2 hours. Live your lives, People. ⏳
How Jonsí manages to bow a guitar still amazes me...Sigur Rós is awesome, even though it's all in Icelandic and I can't understand a single word they are saying.
+Emmy Powell It's not even normal Icelandic, or so I have heard. There's Hopelandic in it and some stuff he just made up. Hoppípolla for example should be Hoppa í Polla, but he kind of slurs words together...
+Emmy Powell It's actually not that hard, all you need is a lot of rosin and a tight bow. Jónsi's guitar is customized with a curved bridge so it's easier to play with a bor
the beauty of most sigur ros songs is in not understanding words , personally I think it's more beautiful to think that words can't describe how beautiful the feelings we get
the last song is one of the best songs ever written. I've seen them in concert twice, once in Chicago in 2005 and once in St. Louis in 2013. I even met Jonsi briefly outside his studio in Mossfellsbaer in 2005. His boyfriend took a picture of us!
Remember seing them before the album Kveikur went out.. heard Hrfatinna, usually i don't get into song i don't know in a concert.. but this track, jeez it was intense.
am addicted to their track " Festival " and hear it everyday without getting bored something is weird about it, i don't think it's considered "Music" it's more of a prayer or something like that..
There are two albums that a true music lover can't miss: the surprisingly unpopular "Sombras en la Biblioteca" by Martin G Spataro and "Valtari" by Sigur Ros. :)
+Deidara Sama soy yo? o es q la mayoría de personas q escucha Sigur Rós no se siente muy bien (me incluyo) y encuentran estas canciones, paz y soledad :)
Yes, it's called pickup scream. The guitar pickup is pretty much like a microphone, so you just have to set in the right way and sing into it. If you're interested to see it in close-up and with another setup, there's this song Closer by Kings of Leon, they do it too ruclips.net/video/hYECLfqjdnw/видео.html
Jonsi is the most amazing human being alive. No one has influenced me more!!! I can't believe I'll even be breathing the same air as him when I see them in Chicogo.

Their music gives me hope, feels like a prayer to me. i think This guys are just visiting and delivering a message from a distant future
Exactly, I felt the same way, hope. Also freedom, and helped me to connect to myself and life 🤯👍🏼😇
Felt hope, freedom, also helped me to reconnect with my emotions and life. Saw thew in Montreal city in 2017 May 30th😌👍🏼😇
every time i hear hoppipola, i believe this world is full with magical thing and im so blessed i can live in this world

Saw them in Seoul, South Korea. The closest I have been to heaven on earth!
Seen them last night in London, I never knew music can do THAT to you... And the first time I felt like the set was half the length it should have been.. Absolutely incredible...

holy fuck thats how you end a concert. so powerful. so beautiful.
Alex Penvose 1:49 is how you start a concert. Fucking tear up the night.

WoW ! Thanks for this message. I will 'Live my life"....Beautiful advice.....
I was there. Southside Festival in Germany. Portishead played right before. Oh, what a special night it was.
I can see why the concerts end with popplagið ... omg ... I'm transported SOMEWHERE OFF THE PLANET by that piece!
... more important than being able to "understand" any words is to "understand" what this music does to my heart.
I've seen them twice in Atlanta, at least 8 years ago. Sublime ethereal beauty. I hope they get to tour again...post-Covid.
They are coming to Atlanta may 27 !! I got tickets the other day
@@Dylan-kc2fp I'll see them in México City on April 28th, and I will travel from Costa Rica, I still can't believe it!!! 👏🎉
I saw them live at Boston University. You could start a religion with this music.
+Wm Pet And it would be better than that ScientologyMoneyGrabShittyCrappyBrainless bla bla bla stuff.

One of the most incredible bands on earth! Without doubt! Especially when they tour with the entire troupe of musicians! Incredible!
Adoro a esta banda! Lo mejor de lo mejor❤

It's the greatest live concert I've ever heard, FANTASTIC
Makes me cry...almost every single song.
Do you not feel? Do you not see? Why does this comment have so few likes?
Remember seing them before the album Kveikur went out.. heard Hrfatinna, usually i don't get into song i don't know in a concert.. but this track, jeez it was intense.

SIGUR ROS
Sigur Rós!!!!
Sigur Rós!!!!
Hell yeah! Sigur Rós!
Why am I surprised that the band behind this music are earthlings? It's just too beautiful to have been created by humans.
Sæglopur Starts at: 31:53
MMm nop, a mí me encantan y me siento bastante bien :O
That intro from the tv network is quite something in comparison with the gig it’s introducing
Mesmerizing. First time listening!
I'm tingling with this music!
Beautiful concert, can't wait to see them live! BTW nice intro with Run With the Wolves by The Prodigy
The music is creepy in a good kind a way. It takes me into another world.Thumbs up.

Yes, it's called pickup scream. The guitar pickup is pretty much like a microphone, so you just have to set in the right way and sing into it. I think they were at there best back then. Now it's just a 13 hits in one gig kind of thing, with mimimal live musicians. Such a shame.

Jonsi is the most amazing human being alive. No one has influenced me more!!! I can't believe I'll even be breathing the same air as him when I see them in Chicogo.
