For anyone curious as to why the balloon pops its because orange peels have limonene in it (the chemical that gives orange its scent). Most balloons also have latex in them and each chemical is a hydrocarbon which means they are each non-polar and dissolve really well into one another. So when limonene from the skin of the orange hits the balloon it dissolves some of the latex and pops the whole balloon.
