Thank you, Fr. Serafino, and His Eminence Cardinal Müller, for a wonderful discussion. His Eminence beautifully addressed the topic of the Pope, reminding us that if St. Paul didn't doubt the authority of St. Peter, then who are we to doubt Pope Francis? This truly clarifies the air around today's allegations and accusations against the Pope. Thank you again, Marian Franciscans, for such a valuable discussion, helping so many souls in doubt. Ave Maria!
Belief is the keeping in uncertainty of belief of the inseparability and qualitative equality of thinking and having faith. Card. Muller conflates faith and belief.
Those who claim Pope Francis teaches heresy and error, are themselves ignorant of Catholic teaching and Canon Law and Holy Scripture! Peace always in Jesus Christ our Great and Kind God and Savior, He whose Flesh is true food and Blood true drink!
@danieldimond5734 I agree, those who claim Pope Francis teaches heresy and error, are themselves ignorant of Catholic teaching and Canon Law and Holy Scripture! Peace always in Jesus Christ our Great and Kind God and Savior, He whose Flesh is true food and Blood true drink!
@danieldimond5734 I challenge you to a public debate on RUclips regarding the teachings of Pope Francis as Biblical or not if you are not afraid! I bet you a million dollars before Jesus Christ, that you have never read any of the encyclicals of Pope Francis or his morning homilies or Biblical commentaries! As lies were told of Jesus Christ at His trial, so too even now of Pope Francis by modern day elders! Let me know if you accept my challenge! You are in my prayers as you journey toward Truth! Peace always in Jesus Christ our Great and Kind God and Savior, He whose Flesh is true food and Blood true drink
What about the Prodestants? I've heard it from both sides. One, there is no salvation outside the Catholic Church. Two, there is a "possibility" a Prodeatant can have salvation. Which is it?
To answer your comment I'v just read that it is true that the Catholic Church teaches INFALLIBLY that 'there is no salvation outside the (I presume)Catholic Church. Can't seem to get my head around that as a Catholic. I'd imagine there should/ would be salvation for everyone irrelevant of their religious beliefs or religious background.
So to understand this doctrine. One has to understand that there is a distinction between the body of the church and the soul of the church. A protestant who through no fault of their own is not within the visible boundaries of the church can still be saved provided they are within the soul of the church. It is hard to say who is in the soul of the church and who is not, since only God knows. But essentially, there is no salvation for anyone who knowingly and willingly refuse to join the church having convinced that it is the truth or they who knowing would leave the church, after the knowledge of it's truth. This is because the church is the mystical body of Christ and each are members or they are not. If anyone cut's himself from Christ he will not saved or refuse to be joined to Christ knowingly, he cannot be saved. The church is the bride of Christ, which is sanctified and made Holy through Christ.
I was surprised you thought fit to praise benedict for his theological prowess ..I thought a popes duty was to proclaim and protect the faith ..did he not abandon his duty, his people and the faith by quitting, opting for an easier life and preposterously offering a half share in the papal office was it Augustine who had to decide to follow Cicero or god..Benedict's choice was between mozart and god. Some theologian !...
God has promised to protect the Church as long as it is faithful. to Him But if God stands back while the Church falls into apostasy, the Church must examine herself to discover her profound offense to God which has allowed this catastrophe. For all of those prayers offered to persons who are not God, God has no responsibility to answer. The Church has confounded itself by teaching contradictions to its own doctrines.
Ave Maria!!!
