This is awesome! I was building a Cinelog 35 and while I was programming the board in Betaflight I accidentally kicked the USB cable and it tore the USB port off of the flight controller and took the copper pads with it. So I never finished setting up the FC. The AIO flight controller is now useless, but with this I can solder it to the UART my receiver was on and turn other UARTs on and program and tune the AIO board. This product is going to save my AIO board.
Same happened to me in my cinelog25. I was about to disassemble one of my other "less important" quads to steal the AIO, or buy a new AIO. I was going to do either of those things on Friday, so glad I found this. Didn't even search for it or think this was possible. The algorithm is STRONG.
@@sakfpv8444 how? In the setup he plugged it into beta flight to configure the uart to Bluetooth before he could use the Bluetooth. If you tore your usb off how would you configure the Bluetooth? I’m in the same situation looking for an answer
This is PERFECT!! I just broke my USB port on a cinewhoop and was a day away from just tossing it and getting a new FC, thanks for this flywoo! And thanks Trocat for showing us this.
How did you do this if you broke your usb? I just broke mine as well and in his setup he had to plug into beta flight to setup the Bluetooth the first time
Have you tried using the Betaflight LUA script on your transmitter? I too use Bluetooth and wifi sometimes (mostly for blackbox or ELRS updates on my phone), but find myself tuning on my transmitter the most, as it is the fastest (for me), and I can change values or my sliders super fast in the field, with only my radio.
Definitely a cool product. I was reading the reviews on RDQ and people are saying it can't be turned off... With your method of using connectors could the module just be unplugged and removed before flight?
That's a cheap and easy way to do it. But it will soon be obsolete for any ELRS users, since 3.0 will do it over the wifi built into the receiver. And Betaflight configurator will be updated too, so you don't need to plug into your computer too
I was excited to try the ELRS connectivity thing on my TinyTrainer, which has a hard to reach USB plug, and while it works great for the normal Betaflight GUI it can't be used to flash firmware or access CLI. So, I'll have to connect a cable a lot less, but it doesn't do away with it completely.

The plug idea makes this an awesome idea
agreed!
Oh wow, that's amazing! It's just annoying to take a laptop outside everytime you want to tune your quad.
Thanks for the advice!:)
Agreed! It really is a game changer for tuning

I think this also works with an expresslrs receiver
Really cool thanks for sharing

Yup! Removing it before flight will definitely save a little bit of juice 👍
I really messed up my betaflight settings on my geprc cinelog25 someone pleases help .
So I have a question, do you tune your drone with the GoPro on because it changes the weight of it?
yes, especially with the cinewhoops 👍
@@TRONCATFPV just crashed mine and broke the Caddix somehow
thanky ou. you did good channel!💪
Thanks! Glad the video helped 🙌
woww good job thanks for this beutifull learning
Happy to help!
