I will try this recipe. As i have just purchased a new air cooker. One thing i will say is that I've never used egg. I've used water with either Lemon juice or vinegar mixed in. Then fried.

We are already planning on doing it on Wednesday. I have a 25 litre air fryer so may not get as good results as you. Thanks Leigh for the recipe. We are planning on using the large quarter portions. Been a subscriber for ages, we were talking about the price of fish for the Filet O Fish video and the prices in Iceland, I was wondering where you had gone, kept popping back, it looks like you have moved by the looks of the new kitchen. Look after yourself. Jane
Thanks for noticing the kitchen, in fact it is the same kitchen. I just ripped off the laminate of the units and gave them a fresh white coat of paint. Makes a lot of difference as it was a bit dull in there. The price of fish generally does infuriate me, but mainly I got it in Iceland. Be interesting to know how you get on with the 25L air fryer, that is big. I think i mentioned in this video that i've come to the conclusion that the fact the air fryer is fairly compact is one of the factors in how it cooks food differently that a traditional oven. Thanks for the comment.
ALL your measurements are off because you are using cutlery to measure instead of actual measuring spoons. Not even an experienced professional chef will measure out ingredients like that. Any decent cook or chef will measure by weight in grams in any case.
Sure, fractionally, although a teaspoon is a teaspoon right? If i had to guess i would assume the majority of people watching the video who want to attempt the recipe will not be experienced professional chefs and will most probably use what they have at home aka the humble teaspoon. I appreciate the point but my cooking is generally about keeping it simple and assessable to everyone.
@@letscookwithleigh No, a teaspoon used to stir your tea is NOT the same as a measuring teaspoon. A measuring spoon, which everyone should have in their kitchen, no exceptions, is designed to be levelled off, not to be heaped with the contents which makes it useless as a valid measure. A set of measuring spoons can be purchased at a dollar store, probably for a dollar. There is no reason anyone should not have and use them. A heaping teaspoon or tablespoon can easily be double an actual measure and totally mess up a recipe. And an electronic scale can be had for around 10 bucks and will be even more precise, assuming the proper weights in grams are provided. But hey, if you and your followers don't mind tossing out their food because it turns out terrible because the measurements are way off, or just eating sub par meals, so be it. It makes no difference to me. Personally, I love food and taking the time to prepare and cook it is a pleasure to me, along with the reactions I receive when cooking for friends.
You're missing the point though. This channel is all about keeping things simple, having fun and making recipes that anyone can have a go at. This is not baking it doesn't need to be precise .Will the result genuinely be sub par because someone adds 0.1g extra of oregano or an extra grind of black pepper? In the video i didn't religiously follow the alleged recipe but I gave commentary on the amounts to my preferences as I went through it. When precision is required I let people know, but we definitely do not need a weighing scale for a spice mix.
Thanks Love that 😮
Looks really nice. Will give this a go and let you know the end result. Thank you for this recipe.
Please do!
Yum yum. Looks delicious uncle Leigh.
Give it a go

Would this work if you took off the skin first ? It look scrummy btw.
For sure. However thing to think about is the skin will render and create that extra oil/grease that helps the coating to crisp up.

@@letscookwithleigh Thanks for the reply. Now I know not to bother with your channel.
What a relief.
