What tips do you have for cooking fried chicken in an air fryer?
I have found peanut oil in a manual spray problem-free in my air fryer.
Tip ? DON'T !
One tip for cooking more pieces when air-frying chixken drumsticks is to stand them up, knuckles sticking upwards. It makes hot air circulation inside more efficient
I like the way this chef cites sources for the information being presented.
Your receipts are amazing chef. Thank you for the wonderful dishes
Always spray oil over the sink so you don't slip on the floor.
You know how not to spread germs and bacteria after "Washing your Chicken" it's called washing your hands with soap and your cooking surface area. Seriously the not washing section is just dumb.
And dangerous.
I agree.
LoL, I don't think these people know how to clean.. I thought the same thing myself..
So you clean the outer 1 mm surface depth of the chicken while the other 99% of the inside has the same “slime”. Washing chicken does nothing to clean it of bacteria, only cooking at the right time and temperature does that. Washing the outside of a raw chicken piece might make you feel better but it doesn’t actually do anything.
I use international sesame seed oil brand and it kicks up the flavor!
Thank you tis is very informative
Great video thank you. I want to try putting my chicken pieces in milk as brine. Please tell me what you think of this.
Fried Chicken looks Very Tasty! Thank you for Good Tips 😄
I have never fallen victim to the scare tactics of “washing my chicken,” before I prepare it, because like you stated, the ( cooking) process will take care of anything lurking in or on it. I am quite sure, that the people freaking out about not washing their chicken, hasn’t taken into consideration, that when they eat chicken from an establishment, there is (no) guarantee, that the persons preparing (that) chicken, has gone through the process of (washing) that chicken, and yet they are still alive and probably eating it as I comment.
Thanks for the tips, but i would be remiss if I didn't address the claim at the 2:09 time stamp pertaining to cleaning chicken. Claudia Sidoti got it wrong with that claim, washing it with "ONLY" H20; might be an issue. However, if one use lemon or vinegar in the cleaning process, it help stave off a problem coupled with the cooking.
i've got my mum's old air-fryer - she calls it big boy as in 'are you gonna do the chicken in the pan or in big boy?' 😂
Lol.. where are you from?
Southern US here, and outside of the use of "mum" I would have had you pegged for down here too 😅 sounds like something my mom would have said, haha
@@I.Am.L i'm southern uk but from the countryside - there's still some of it left here that they haven't paved over yet. i'd love to visit the southern u.s. - from what i've seen on youtube it's like my spiritual home!
@@billynomates920 If I ever make it rich I'll totally fly you over and show you some cool places in the woods, start a bonfire and chill by some water somewhere, haha. You definitely gotta see the llama farm 😂 those guys run so ridiculously funny, I love it so much. In turn you can show me all around the UK and the things you can't find here. 🤟
No but legit, one thing I do love about the development of online connectivity is the worldwide community.. yeah you have trolls and there is definitely a dark side to the moon, but the benefits are incredible.. like I have true friends from places from that are worlds apart from my own. It's pretty badass
i have a cosori air fryer with a dual heating element top and bottom no need for pre heat or turning
Nice, the dual blaze
This thing about not washing chicken before cooking is nonsense. I've been cooking for over 30 years, always washed my food before cooking it and I've never had food poisoning. The key is to wash your hands before & after and clean your food prep area as soon as you've finished washing/cleaning/seasoning your meat, fish or poultry before you even start cooking.
So your scientific approach is because you never had food poisoning that has to be the official canon? 30 years ago, health organizations also recommended washing chicken, but this approach is explicitly no longer recommended since a few years, the reasons for this were given in the video. So that's not "nonsense", you should simply question your approach every few years. And if not just don't give advice to others.
Probably better to just by oven cooking bags speeds up time and keeps it clean
I cant cook anything with mine no smoke not burnt and the smoke alarm goes off nearly everytime
FRIED CHICKEN IS VERY GOOD TOO AND IT IS MY FAVORITE FOOD TOO
I want to buy an air fryer but can I take skin off chicken an still taste great ..I don't like skin
Well, I don't know about anyone else but I am going to keep on washing my chicken. There is something called cleaning the spaces that were used and your hands.. I know it must be new to some people but it does work.. Ohh and make sure you pat them dry - the chicken after washing under cold water.
Thats why I buy organic kosher and nuke it a bit speeds up cooking. Dry after heat up, then coat and fry.
If you set it to air fryer, most machines automatically preheat
Very informative
You cannot convince me to not wash my chicken. If pre packaged chicken came dry then sure, instead its always soaking in a slimy mess of juice that destroys any and all crispy texture.
If my meat juices were slimy I would put it all in the dustbin
patting it dry is way more important than washing it. you're spraying germs all over your sink when you do that, but enjoy getting food poisoning I guess.
Same here I also rub lemon juice or vinegar on the chicken to get rid of as much gunk and microbes as possible
@Known, I am the same way. I have always washed the chicken then pat it dry with paper towels. It doesn't matter if it is slimy or not.. Just something my mom taught me.. The thing is I don't rub it like it is a piece of clothing I am putting in the washing machine. I just run cold water over them and pat them dry with a paper towel..
Well, if you’re doing it for that reason then ok. Just don’t think you’re doing it for hygiene reasons.
I’ve been washing chicken for the past 50 years!!
All that wasted effort
Is extra virgin olive oil suitable for this recipe? It doesn’t have a high smoke point.
Yes, you can use it for sure! 😃
WHY do the makers of this video assume that "Basket" airfryers are the ONLY kind that exist??? 🙄😒 Hey!!....A LOT of people do own and use the "Oven" kind of airfryers too, ya know. 😌
Exactly that's what I own
Do not be telling people to not wash chicken.... been around a long time and always seen chicken washed and I have not been sick yet plus I clean my area after cleaning and washing chicken.
WASH YOUR 🐔 PEOPLE!!!! Lemon/lime, salt, vinegar.
You are right, but the advice not to wash is really for white people who used to put a chicken in the kitchen sink and then run the tap on it, thereby splashing bacteria contaminated water all over the countertop.
I’ve never washed, I
Never got sick.
Can you try washing your chicken and eating it raw then report back to us?
Didn't even know you had the option to not pre heat...mine does it automatically.
Doesn't matter if you are making Kentucky Fried chicken, or Newfoundland chicken or Pinkoed salt and pepper chicken tenders the same rules apply.
Buy a $9.00 thermometer wit probe. No guesswork and chicken is done faster than you think.
Never wash your chicken dear god
I don't know what is wrong with these people 😕
Chicken gets a sniff test and a rinse AND another sniff test
Pro tip from this video, yes, you're supposed to spray "raw breaded fried chicken" with cooking oil spray, otherwise you get seared flour lol.. I've seen this happen way too often. Spray oil onto your food before you air fry it!!!
Also, YES, do wash your chicken before cooking it... heard this from someone who works at a facility: chicken falls off conveyor belts on a regular basis and they are put back on the belt and end up in the package. let's just say, worker's boots step everywhere, picking up old blood, soil, even walking into the bathroom... and then walk next to conveyor belts inspecting the chicken (these floors are not cleaned regularly)... if a chicken falls, it picks this stuff up and you end up eating it.
It's the bloody raw slaughtered meat of an animal. And you're worried about where feet have walked?
We got a ninja airfryer, it's excellent advice to remind people that the airfryer cook's the outside very fast when on high temperature but the inside may not be fully cooked. In order to remedy this situation without costing too much its better to cook some foods like chicken at a lower temperature for longer to ensure more even cooking throughout. The inside takes longer to cook.
Alternatively, use the Microwave to cook the inside and then crisp up with the airfryer.
Sooo basically just like cooking any other way…Nothing I didn’t know already
Is this the voice of the lady from Watch MOJO
I always wash chicken before cooking then I wash my hands I'm old and I cook slowly at 350 for an hour
I cook with thermometer to 165+ internal. If you want crisp. Take up to 185-200 internal.
What are “errrbz”?
thats a really good question. whats a "bo'ohw'o'wo'er?"
AS FAR AS COOKING GOES, AIRFRYERS ARE GREAT. AS FAR AS AMOUNTS ABLE TO COOK IN THEM...THEY SUCK!!
You just need the right one! I cook 10 legs or thighs in mine. It has two layers of racks and does a great job of it’s called The big boss. Clear glass basket! Watch the cooking.
Contradicting instruction. Pat DRY or add Oil. Cant be dry if it has oil. Clarify
Can you American's not give the temperature in degree C as well degrees F
Watch European videos then.
C = (5/9)(F - 32)
Here’s a tip… ALWAYS WASH YOUR CHICKEN!!!
Yes!!!!!!
Yes, but not under the tap in the kitchen sink!
U don’t need too…only hot water kills germs. Wash is just for peace of mind. Vinegar and lime does more
The hell with that I'm washing my chicken before I cook it
The mistake is : There is no such thing g as an air fryer, it"s a fast Oven Fryer.😂
Actually it's a convection oven.
@@donaldbrown2206 yes
Your company's video has nothing at all to do with the topic. You are showing roasting chicken or maybe steamed but not fried.
Way too much trouble I'm going to KFC.
Maybe the first mistake while using an air-fryer is... to use an air-fryer :D :D
?
🤣🤣
Some foods just don't work with it
Only if you don’t know how to use it!
Wash chicken with lime juice or a little vinegar. WASH YOUR CHICKEN PEOPLE!!!
No😂😂😂

@@rosskaske6357 now you're just trolling.
@@veedobbleu1170 Not trolling. Patting chicken dry is important but there's no reason to wash it.

Number One biggest mistake?
Buying an Air Fryer!
I understand that anything you cook in an air fryer you can do in a regular oven. But where I live, it is going to be 106° today. I baking little French bread rolls this afternoon in my air fryer. I won’t be putting my HVAC on life support.
