Plasma Pulse Finale has always been my favorite top one we have had in this game. I love how the gameplay primarily focuses on timings instead of ship and wave which even to this day, we pretty much never see in a top one. I also just love how the level just kinda happened to be the hardest at the time there is something really cool about a level just being hard and not insisting that its hard. Its unfortunate that it's just kinda seen as a level that rivaled Bloodlust that one time because I think its way more unique and fun than Bloodlust.
bloodlust is obviously cool gg to knobel and all of that but is sad that almost all its legacy is being the first level harder than sonic wave still harder than it and rivaling bloodlust

The sync is good but I've never been a huge fan of the Pennutoh sync where the music is in sync with every single click. I think PPF has the type of sync I like where the speed and flow of the level is what syncs. Cognition also does this style really well.
My opinions: 1. If gameplay was accounted for I think Extreme Park would've benifitted, it pulled off nerve control quite well for 1.2 and was a very fun new hardest of mine. 2. To the Grave is almost like a GDPS level with how it uses objects in a way much ahead of their time, Robtop's style is more along the lines of "A really polished yet basic level that does what it needs to" and To the Grave has setpieces that go beyond that definition. 3. If Demon Park didn't create a new difficulty, it's plausible another level would've done it. I agree with you moving it up, just not all the way up to #11, more like #15. 5. Putting Slaughterhouse above Cataclysm is just such a *spicy* take; it inspired Artificial Ascent (which you put at #1) and revived the idea of making levels that are meant to be difficult. It was the spiritual successor to Demon Park. 6. PPF section was so short I missed it lol.
I'm glad you appreciated Slaughterhouse rather than saying it's just your average hell top 1 because its intensity and atmosphere throughout is something few levels can match. It's intimidating and also works well as a collab because it was a joint effort to push the boundaries of the time. The fact that half of the song itself was custom- made (with the middle part being Crim3s - Lost) felt exciting and, as you said in the video, not oversaturated like newer levels
I would agree with most of the placements. Even though it's hard to compare Top Levels over time, you've pointed out most of the level's qualities and tried to work with it.

I would recommend watching stormfly’s video about element 111 rg. The video is really cool and a level that has that much history should be higher on the list. But that’s just my opinion, I can see why someone could place it lower
Glad to see Artificial Ascent and it’s sequel in 1 and 2. I don’t think Viprin Megacollabs get enough credit for just how much they innovated, hell supersonic was considered one of the first high profile megacollabs back in 1.9. These levels really showed the best of the creator community and demanded others to do better. I’m glad we have creators like Mindcap hosting innovative collars and keeping that spirit of pushing the boundaries alive.

bloodlust #1 no competition for me, the messy deco really works since A) it really stands out from bloodbath and feels completely different/reimagined, and B) its top 1 it really should be overwhelming
Honestly your opinions are valid, I can't have a TRUE opinion just because I started playing in 2022. But I definitely agree with you on some of them. Only thing I probably would have changed is to not have any 1.0 levels in like the top 20-10. Just because I feel like decoration kinda over rules those earlier levels. Altho I can still understand demon park being high up on your list. Because of the fact that it inspired the demon levels in the first place.
It astounds me the extent to which Tidal Wave haters will say that Tidal Wave is bad and lazy while somehow managing to completely ignore the fact that so is like every other top 1. This is my Top Ten: 1. Slaughterhouse, literally the best top 1 ever, this is what hell theme wanted to be 2. Extreme Park, this is one of my favorite levels I've ever played, amazing early memory level 3. Acheron, amazing design and theme, great as a top 1 4. Yatagarasu, iconic and has aged surprisingly well 5. Crimson Planet, this is literally the most generic hell-themed top 1 but it works so well 6. To The Grave, also really fun, great design for 1.1, (fun fact: also made by Darnoc) 7. Zodiac, awesome level 8. Plasma Pulse Finale, incredible design 9. Fexty, great 1.9 level and looks awesome to play 10. Silent Club, I like impossible levels (I have a feeling that Tidal Wave could grow on me and make it on here soon, but it needs time) My Top 3 Worst: 3. Bloodlust, hottest take ever but it looks like garbage, only part that is somewhat acceptable is the remade Gboy Bloodbath part, it also looks unfun 2. BP Night, it has no reason to exist and has a secret way, I'm pretty sure that Demon World was harder anyway so 1. Avernus, just no, not gonna explain this one
I agree with most of the list, but putting cataclysm over bloodbath is crazy. Ask nearly anyone who beat cata, and they will say the gameplay is TERRIBLE.
One thing I love about Slaughterhouse is that it has such a level of chaos at the drop (the slow, more do-able looking part, the song being chaotic as heyoooo and the deco making the gameplay still sightreadable but still chaotic looking) so I can so it to someone who hasn't played GD or actively despises it, and watch there reaction as they see the drop. I laugh every time knowing it's only 7th on the demon list.

a lot of the those levels are levels i do really like, so like hard machine would be somewhere in the top 20, but there’s so many of them it would be hard to include them without taking up most of the video 😭
quite frankly there's nothing too special about AA or DD, I also think since slaughterhouse was so unique and rare of a level for its time it should be placed higher. also lets be honest, neither tidal wave or avernus are really awful levels, they're just hated because they're so inaccessible for the community compared to something like BB, cata or yata
I'm so mad you put Slaughterhouse so low because in the spring of 2007, TDI announced their development of a new submachine gun. It was an experimental weapon under advanced stages of development at that time. The name Kriss comes from a Southeast Asian dagger with a flame-shaped blade. The second generation prototype of the Vector, called the K10, was announced at 2011 SHOT Show. It is a slightly more compact version of the Vector that is based on the same Super V system. The main difference is a redesign of the lower receiver intended for easy caliber interchangeability; utilizing just a single takedown pin, users can change between 9×19mm, .40 S&W and .45 ACP by mounting different lower receivers. This also brought a redesign of the charging handle, which now travels diagonally, almost vertically, and can be mounted on either side of the weapon. Other notable differences were a new telescoping stock instead of a folding one, and a four-sided accessory rail tube around the barrel. The K10 was not displayed after SHOT Show 2013 and its status is unknown and likely has been canceled. Kriss announced "Gen II" versions of the original Vector models in 2015. These feature a redesigned pistol grip, trigger, safety selector, and compatibility with a new 9×19mm lower. These appear to have replaced the K10 prototypes, though no features from the K10 were carried over. the Vector uses an articulated mechanism referred to as the "Kriss Super V", which allows the bolt and an inertia block to move downward into a recess behind the magazine well. The theory is that at the end of this travel, the energy is transmitted downward rather than rearward, thus reducing the felt recoil. When fired, the barrel axis is in line with the shoulder as in the M16 rifle, but also in line with the shooter's hand. This is intended to reduce muzzle climb when combined with the off-axis bolt travel, though it also greatly raises the sight line in comparison to the bore axis. The initial prototype model by TDI achieved a rate of fire of 1,500 rounds per minute, though this was brought down to around 1,200 rounds per minute on the production models. Civilian models are limited to semi-automatic only. The Vector is split into two major assemblies in a similar manner to the AR-15 rifle, secured together with four push pins. Due to the weapon's unusual layout, the lower contains the action, charging handle, magazine well and barrel, while the upper contains the ejection port, rail system, pistol grip and fire control components, as well as the stock for configurations that have one. This modular design allows for toolless caliber conversions by swapping out only the lower. The Vector's safety is ambidextrous (as well as the fire mode selector on the auto trigger pack) while the ejection port, charging handle, bolt release catch and magazine release are not, and are only available in a right-handed configuration. Calibers such as .22 LR, .40 S&W and 9×19mm Parabellum were mentioned when the gun was first released. The Generation II versions with multiple design changes including a new 9mm variant were confirmed at SHOT Show 2015, though the .22LR version had yet to materialize and was thought to have been canceled up until SHOT Show 2020, when they announced its release. The KRISS Vector has undergone two generations of modification. The Gen I version is the baseline model of the Vector family. It was later replaced by the improved Gen II version which features a redesigned pistol grip and trigger and has the swing angle of the safety lever reduced from 120 to 45 degrees. It also eliminates the opening above the barrel for the original weapon's optional Surefire weapon light, since these are no longer manufactured. In addition to the original Flat Black finish, optional factory Cerakote coatings now come in Olive Drab (green), Flat Dark Earth (tan), Alpine (white), or Combat Gray. The Vector SMG variant is only available for military and law enforcement use. It features a 5.5-inch barrel (with an option of a 6.5-inch barrel on the Gen II version), a folding stock, flip-up Midwest Industries back-up iron sights (BUIS) (KRISS Sights on Gen II weapons), a full-length Picatinny rail for mounting various optics/scopes, and either two mode fire selector (single and full-auto) or a three mode fire selector (single, two-round burst and full-auto). It is only sold as a complete weapon in .45 ACP and 9×19mm Parabellum; Due to the nature of the weapon the auto trigger pack is not compatible with any Vector lower. The 9mm model uses Glock 17-compatible magazines (typically the extended 33-rounder used by the Glock 18) and the .45-caliber model uses Glock 21 magazines. Semi-automatic variants are produced and available for the US civilian market. There are three main configurations, the Vector CRB, Vector SBR and Vector SDP. In addition to 9×19mm Parabellum and .45 ACP, they can also be chambered in .40 S&W (using Glock 22 magazines), 10mm Auto (using Glock 20 magazines), or .357 SIG (using Glock 31 magazines). A variant chambered for 9×21mm IMI that feeds from standard 9×19mm Glock 17 magazines is available for the Italian civilian market. The .22 LR variant feeds from a proprietary 10-round magazine, and functions using a traditional straight blowback operating system rather than the Super V delayed system. The Canadian (and some American) civil market versions only come with the blocked 10-round magazines rather than the full capacity magazines. Like the Law Enforcement / Military SMG models, the civilian model Vectors can be converted to chamber and fire other calibers if the lower receiver groups are changed. The Vector CRB (carbine) is a semi-automatic carbine with a permanently affixed barrel shroud to the standard 5.5-inch barrel, extending it to 16-inch (410 mm), intended for states with short-barrel rifle bans, with an 18.6-inch (470 mm) version produced for the Canadian market. The standard model has a folding stock (fixed in states where state law prohibits). Variants exist for compliance with various state gun laws, including a California-legal "featureless" variant with a Kydex grip-wrap barrier (prohibits gripping the back of the pistol grip), a hand stop replacing the usual vertical foregrip, and a permanently affixed Defiance DS150 stock to give an overall length of 36.5-inch (930 mm). The Vector SBR (Short Barrel Rifle) is a semi-automatic short-barreled configuration featuring the same 5.5-inch barrel as the selective fire submachine gun. The Vector SDP (Special Duty Pistol) is a semi-automatic pistol configuration that has a permanently affixed cap with a sling mount in place of a folding stock. There is also a configuration of the Vector SDP fitted with an SB Tactical arm brace called the Vector SDP-SB (Special Duty Pistol - Stabilizing Brace). The "Enhanced" versions of the Gen II CRB and SBR are also available with collapsing M4-style stock adaptors instead of the standard folding stock (with a Magpul UBR stock included) and a rectangular barrel shroud for the CRB, though these accessories can also be purchased separately. KRISS announced development of a semi-automatic pistol called the "KRISS KARD" in 2010, using the Super V system in a much smaller package to minimize recoil and muzzle rise in 9×19mm Parabellum and .45 ACP calibers. It does not have a blowback slide, instead it has a T-shaped cocking handle on the rear. As TDI, KRISS also announced a 12-gauge shotgun called the MVS and a .50 BMG heavy machine gun using a double Super V mechanism called the "Disraptor," but the Disraptor has not been mentioned since their name change, while the MVS was removed from the TDI website in late 2009.

For whatever reason, I actually quite like Bloodbath's gameplay. I dislike the level, though, because I died at 94, 96, and 98, which is the most end fails I've ever had

In all honesty, Michi and vermillion’s mini ship are the hardest parts for me, which is odd because the mini ship didn’t feel that hard, but I guess my skill set just made it mostly balanced other than that
Okay my favorite is firework and here is why. This level. It’s a masterpiece, the buildup to the end is perfect, and the end is too, it feels like, all of your attempts, all of your hard work, comes up to this, it’s decoration is a masterpiece, and it’s also pretty long.

Bloodbath will always be my #1 for one reason. I understand it was a different time, but the demons nowadays are just so insanely decorated, you can't see. Bloodbath had such good decoration imo, but you can still see what's going on.

I think you placed these levels based on "legendary-ness", there is no way you put Acheron and Tidal Wave that low. Heaven and Hell is at least 10 spots too low, Plasma Pulse Finale is too low, Rg is too low, and Future Demoness is too low
@@exiled_shadegd I actually ranked Cataclysm and Bloodbath so high mainly because of the history and impact. If I didn't include it, Slaughterhouse would probably be number one. I don't like Acheron much because of the poor deco and the gameplay seems bad. Tidal Wave has an average deco at best and is only rated because people harassed RobTop to do it. Heaven And Hell looks ugly even for its time, Plasma Pulse Finale and Future Demoness just exist imo

I'm glad you appreciated Slaughterhouse rather than saying it's just your average hell top 1 because its intensity and atmosphere throughout is something few levels can match. It's intimidating and also works well as a collab because it was a joint effort to push the boundaries of the time. The fact that half of the song itself was custom- made (with the middle part being Crim3s - Lost) felt exciting and, as you said in the video, not oversaturated like newer levels

I would recommend watching stormfly’s video about element 111 rg. The video is really cool and a level that has that much history should be higher on the list. But that’s just my opinion, I can see why someone could place it lower

Glad to see Artificial Ascent and it’s sequel in 1 and 2. I don’t think Viprin Megacollabs get enough credit for just how much they innovated, hell supersonic was considered one of the first high profile megacollabs back in 1.9. These levels really showed the best of the creator community and demanded others to do better. I’m glad we have creators like Mindcap hosting innovative collars and keeping that spirit of pushing the boundaries alive.

Honestly your opinions are valid, I can't have a TRUE opinion just because I started playing in 2022. But I definitely agree with you on some of them. Only thing I probably would have changed is to not have any 1.0 levels in like the top 20-10. Just because I feel like decoration kinda over rules those earlier levels. Altho I can still understand demon park being high up on your list. Because of the fact that it inspired the demon levels in the first place.
It astounds me the extent to which Tidal Wave haters will say that Tidal Wave is bad and lazy while somehow managing to completely ignore the fact that so is like every other top 1. One thing I love about Slaughterhouse is that it has such a level of chaos at the drop (the slow, more do-able looking part, the song being chaotic as heyoooo and the deco making the gameplay still sightreadable but still chaotic looking) so I can so it to someone who hasn't played GD or actively despises it, and watch there reaction as they see the drop.
I laugh every time knowing it's only 7th on the demon list.
Back on track is obviously the hardest and the best top 1 out there.

quite frankly there's nothing too special about AA or DD, I also think since slaughterhouse was so unique and rare of a level for its time it should be placed higher. also lets be honest, neither tidal wave or avernus are really awful levels, they're just hated because they're so inaccessible for the community compared to something like BB, cata or yata

I'm so mad you put Slaughterhouse so low because in the spring of 2007, TDI announced their development of a new submachine gun. It was an experimental weapon under advanced stages of development at that time. The name Kriss comes from a Southeast Asian dagger with a flame-shaped blade. The second generation prototype of the Vector, called the K10, was announced at 2011 SHOT Show. It is a slightly more compact version of the Vector that is based on the same Super V system. The main difference is a redesign of the lower receiver intended for easy caliber interchangeability; utilizing just a single takedown pin, users can change between 9×19mm, .40 S&W and .45 ACP by mounting different lower receivers. This also brought a redesign of the charging handle, which now travels diagonally, almost vertically, and can be mounted on either side of the weapon. Other notable differences were a new telescoping stock instead of a folding one, and a four-sided accessory rail tube around the barrel. The K10 was not displayed after SHOT Show 2013 and its status is unknown and likely has been canceled. Kriss announced "Gen II" versions of the original Vector models in 2015. These feature a redesigned pistol grip, trigger, safety selector, and compatibility with a new 9×19mm lower. These appear to have replaced the K10 prototypes, though no features from the K10 were carried over. the Vector uses an articulated mechanism referred to as the "Kriss Super V", which allows the bolt and an inertia block to move downward into a recess behind the magazine well. The theory is that at the end of this travel, the energy is transmitted downward rather than rearward, thus reducing the felt recoil. When fired, the barrel axis is in line with the shoulder as in the M16 rifle, but also in line with the shooter's hand. This is intended to reduce muzzle climb when combined with the off-axis bolt travel, though it also greatly raises the sight line in comparison to the bore axis. The initial prototype model by TDI achieved a rate of fire of 1,500 rounds per minute, though this was brought down to around 1,200 rounds per minute on the production models. Civilian models are limited to semi-automatic only. The Vector is split into two major assemblies in a similar manner to the AR-15 rifle, secured together with four push pins. Due to the weapon's unusual layout, the lower contains the action, charging handle, magazine well and barrel, while the upper contains the ejection port, rail system, pistol grip and fire control components, as well as the stock for configurations that have one. This modular design allows for toolless caliber conversions by swapping out only the lower. The Vector's safety is ambidextrous (as well as the fire mode selector on the auto trigger pack) while the ejection port, charging handle, bolt release catch and magazine release are not, and are only available in a right-handed configuration. Calibers such as .22 LR, .40 S&W and 9×19mm Parabellum were mentioned when the gun was first released. The Generation II versions with multiple design changes including a new 9mm variant were confirmed at SHOT Show 2015, though the .22LR version had yet to materialize and was thought to have been canceled up until SHOT Show 2020, when they announced its release. The KRISS Vector has undergone two generations of modification. The Gen I version is the baseline model of the Vector family. It was later replaced by the improved Gen II version which features a redesigned pistol grip and trigger and has the swing angle of the safety lever reduced from 120 to 45 degrees. It also eliminates the opening above the barrel for the original weapon's optional Surefire weapon light, since these are no longer manufactured. In addition to the original Flat Black finish, optional factory Cerakote coatings now come in Olive Drab (green), Flat Dark Earth (tan), Alpine (white), or Combat Gray. The Vector SMG variant is only available for military and law enforcement use. It features a 5.5-inch barrel (with an option of a 6.5-inch barrel on the Gen II version), a folding stock, flip-up Midwest Industries back-up iron sights (BUIS) (KRISS Sights on Gen II weapons), a full-length Picatinny rail for mounting various optics/scopes, and either two mode fire selector (single and full-auto) or a three mode fire selector (single, two-round burst and full-auto). It is only sold as a complete weapon in .45 ACP and 9×19mm Parabellum; Due to the nature of the weapon the auto trigger pack is not compatible with any Vector lower. The 9mm model uses Glock 17-compatible magazines (typically the extended 33-rounder used by the Glock 18) and the .45-caliber model uses Glock 21 magazines. Semi-automatic variants are produced and available for the US civilian market. There are three main configurations, the Vector CRB, Vector SBR and Vector SDP. In addition to 9×19mm Parabellum and .45 ACP, they can also be chambered in .40 S&W (using Glock 22 magazines), 10mm Auto (using Glock 20 magazines), or .357 SIG (using Glock 31 magazines). A variant chambered for 9×21mm IMI that feeds from standard 9×19mm Glock 17 magazines is available for the Italian civilian market. The .22 LR variant feeds from a proprietary 10-round magazine, and functions using a traditional straight blowback operating system rather than the Super V delayed system. The Canadian (and some American) civil market versions only come with the blocked 10-round magazines rather than the full capacity magazines. Like the Law Enforcement / Military SMG models, the civilian model Vectors can be converted to chamber and fire other calibers if the lower receiver groups are changed. The Vector CRB (carbine) is a semi-automatic carbine with a permanently affixed barrel shroud to the standard 5.5-inch barrel, extending it to 16-inch (410 mm), intended for states with short-barrel rifle bans, with an 18.6-inch (470 mm) version produced for the Canadian market. The standard model has a folding stock (fixed in states where state law prohibits). Variants exist for compliance with various state gun laws, including a California-legal "featureless" variant with a Kydex grip-wrap barrier (prohibits gripping the back of the pistol grip), a hand stop replacing the usual vertical foregrip, and a permanently affixed Defiance DS150 stock to give an overall length of 36.5-inch (930 mm). The Vector SBR (Short Barrel Rifle) is a semi-automatic short-barreled configuration featuring the same 5.5-inch barrel as the selective fire submachine gun. The Vector SDP (Special Duty Pistol) is a semi-automatic pistol configuration that has a permanently affixed cap with a sling mount in place of a folding stock. There is also a configuration of the Vector SDP fitted with an SB Tactical arm brace called the Vector SDP-SB (Special Duty Pistol - Stabilizing Brace). The "Enhanced" versions of the Gen II CRB and SBR are also available with collapsing M4-style stock adaptors instead of the standard folding stock (with a Magpul UBR stock included) and a rectangular barrel shroud for the CRB, though these accessories can also be purchased separately. KRISS announced development of a semi-automatic pistol called the "KRISS KARD" in 2010, using the Super V system in a much smaller package to minimize recoil and muzzle rise in 9×19mm Parabellum and .45 ACP calibers. It does not have a blowback slide, instead it has a T-shaped cocking handle on the rear. As TDI, KRISS also announced a 12-gauge shotgun called the MVS and a .50 BMG heavy machine gun using a double Super V mechanism called the "Disraptor," but the Disraptor has not been mentioned since their name change, while the MVS was removed from the TDI website in late 2009.

I think you placed these levels based on "legendary-ness", there is no way you put Acheron and Tidal Wave that low. Heaven and Hell is at least 10 spots too low, Plasma Pulse Finale is too low, Rg is too low, and Future Demoness is too low
@@exiled_shadegd I actually ranked Cataclysm and Bloodbath so high mainly because of the history and impact. If I didn't include it, Slaughterhouse would probably be number one. I don't like Acheron much because of the poor deco and the gameplay seems bad. Tidal Wave has an average deco at best and is only rated because people harassed RobTop to do it. Heaven And Hell looks ugly even for its time, Plasma Pulse Finale and Future Demoness just exist imo
