One day about two months in I went down on a rep mid set of 100 and ended up herniating a disc in my back, and now I doubt I’ll ever be able to burpees again, among other things. So true. I always used to complicate fitness. Now I keep it simple. I do burpees, push ups, pull ups and squats (when I’m not surfing). I also eat much better. I keep that simple as well. Thought I'd share aswell because I was so happy when I hit my first 500 1 pump in 70min and then again 2 day's later on top of my ring training. I’m approaching 50 and have been stagnant for years after being injured overseas by IED. After plenty of surgeries to back and pelvis, I’m pretty sedentary. Lately I’ve got the bug to get the endorphins going again and start small with side straddle hops and burpees....slowly. Started intermittent fasting and plan to lose some weight and get disciplined again.
My motto since 7 years: "burpees love you". Back in the old days when I started to do workouts other than just running (it was about 7 years ago) I joined a functional fitness class and the trainer threw a 1-minute AMPRAP burpee challenge at us. I hardly knew what a burpee was but I though "nah, that's easy". I was gassing out after like 20 seconds? I got hooked and love burpees ever since. Of course I do a lot of other exercises, as for my back burpees are literally useless, but for general strength-endurance, they are perfect!
Burpees are Soo fun....💀💀. Allow me to explain...Me I do 2 push ups in between 50-60% of the time. Burpees allows you to be creative and do whatever you want... You can add mountain climbers or a Huge Jump at the end. I'm not trying to bash the non jumpers but try jumping....you won't do what you did without jumping!! Creativity is so important which is what makes it fun for me

I just discovered you through some comments on one of my favorite channels, The Bioneer. I need to tell you how much I appreciate, honor and respect you for serving what good is left in America today. My father, had no patience and would find any reason to explode on me and beat me and we never had much of a connection. ( I ran away when I turned 19.) I was never good enough for his standards. Mom passed away when I was just 16 and I never got to be around her much, or have her comfort. I just remember how hard she always fought for us kids, sometimes we lived on the streets and I remember mom crying. I was 7 and people came by giving us blankets and food. I wanted to join the military and grow up to be in law enforcement since i was 11 years old.. but i already had PTSD and other serious mental issues at those ages and after high school. Every branch turned me down and I was defeated inside that year, back in 2009, post graduation. I always look at every military or officer male like the father I never had. So thank you for being here and doing all that you do. My story was just to point out how much a different you make in a person's life, just by serving and that you are a hero in my heart every day. Bless you!
Glad I found this today I've been doing burpees everyday for 6 days already getting results. Showing faster then my resistance band set. Prior military too . Burpees and jump rope and walking . Oh yeah
I discovered Navy SEAL burpees and prison-style burpees about 4-5 months ago...... I did conventional weight-training for the better part of 25 years, and these are so much more effective overall. And even having done strength training for a long time, I also am surprised by the rapid results I'm getting - getting leaner, and my core gets stronger every week.
Thanks for the time you take to make te videos. You are a real example of true discipline. Keep up the good work! Salute and the burpee time is ON everyday.

One day about two months in I went down on a rep mid set of 100 and ended up herniating a disc in my back, and now I doubt I’ll ever be able to burpees again, among other things. It’s caused nerve problems in my back, arms, and upper legs. I’m only 27.
Not discouraging burpees because they are such great exercise, but just be careful.
The negative should be highlighted that is unfortunate bro. Cause burpees are an amazing exercise
When I first started I felt a few pains in my back and elbows when you start feeling that type of pain stop your body isn't strong enough or ready slowly add reps or do other body weight exercises to condition your body
@@CritixalLegend I think that's true but also burpees might not be for everybody. I will try it gradually
@@elchivogringo4232 Start simple start with 5 reps one day maybe the next day do 10 push ups and ad 5 to each every other day make sure you are losing weight in the process as well too much weight can add inflammation to your body after workouts and increase risks of injuries and all types of bs as with all things know your self good luck
@@CritixalLegend I would add on slower than that. Maybe 5 a week.
So true. I always used to complicate fitness. Now I keep it simple. I do burpees, push ups, pull ups and squats (when I’m not surfing). I also eat much better. I keep that simple as well. I eat plants and animals. Vegetables, fruit plus grilled/baked animal/fish protein. Very minimal sugar, processed foods and white flour. Best shape of my life. No gym membership. Not against the gym. Wouldn’t mind having a squat rack, bench and some free weights/kettle bells but just focusing on the basics at the moment has me in great shape.
Welcome back IW. Still getting after it in Atlanta. I’ve really stepped up my Burpee game, thanks to you. Your inspiration and your leadership. Much appreciated!

I CANT DO MY WEIGHT ROUTINES WITHOUT DOING BURPEES, FEELS AWESOME AND IF I DON’T DO THEM I DON’T FEEL RITE 👍 . THANK YOU , YOUR THE MAN WOLF !
Simplicity is the height of elegance in many regards.
Im a high frequency trader and I’m in my computer 10 hours a day. I bust out 25 burpees and 25 pull-ups every 30 minutes in my home office. It keeps me in shape but most important keeps me focused, aware and In the present moment while trading the markets.

Burpies and pullups is all you need if you do a pushup in the down. If you feel weak and want a rest day you can do pure pushups ;-)
When you dropped time and space , and soul, you were on something else mayne 🔥 👏
I am doing burpees every other day...jumprope, shadow boxing and doing weight training on alternate days. Burpees are still the toughest exercise I ever have had to do. Now I know why we had to do so many in basic training. So effective!
I love doing burpees, I cant run because of arthritis in both my knees, but at 62, I give it my best effort doing burpees and they are great!
Glad to see your post. Your leadership is changing lives. I know it has changed mine and I am grateful.
It's ok if you don't post for a while Art, the wolfpack will be here waiting 🐺✌️
PS. Thought I'd share aswell because I was so happy when I hit my first 500 1 pump in 70min and then again 2 day's later on top of my ring training. Being an asthmatic I'm still developing my lung capacity and ability to transport oxygen to the muscles.... I'd say my technique is good....chest to floor, full elbow lockout! You're my inspiration Art, thank you.
100 % agree with this fella the burpee is a great full body work out and the different various burpess u can do
I’m approaching 50 and have been stagnant for years after being injured overseas by IED.
Just found this channel, quit my gym last year, so this looks great no nonsense work, let’s see if a 56 year old can make some progress!
@2020vision 😂not quite !!
Since I found your channel early this year your exercise philosophy has completely changed the way I work out. Thank you.
The burpee with full pushup is so deceptively hard. The first time I tried and expected to do 100 and could only do 50, I was so physically drained
.

Well done bro xx
Wow! I just started last week. I was doing Pushups for months and decided to try burpees. I never sweat like that before. I did a hundred this morning. I feel like I did a 5 mile run.

Hey brother im going back through your old videos and liking them. I hope this helps you
Salute brother, thank you 🙏🏻
3:39 Look. I got fat, old and out of shape. I ain’t looking for sympathy. It is what is is. The I had enough and got back after it. I’ve focused in on body weight workouts, hiking and other outdoor activities and resistance band training at home. I’ve recently ramped up my program and am doing what he says here in this section. I’m working on my burpee’s after each resistance band set. My waist line if finally starting to come back. I got a long way to go to get back in 8 count body builder shape but I’m on my way back. Great video here!🤙
Straight up simple to the point. Thank you sir! Your content is really inspiring us to push ourselves.
Hi wolf, good see ya back bro, because of your workouts I'm in the best shape ever. I'm so fit and feel fantastic. I still doing burpees 6 days ago week as well as pull up and dips routines. I've finally achieved 500 Navy seals in 1.45.03 sec. Anyway stay strong Wolf pack 💪💪
Way to crush the 500 navy seals! And killer time!
Burpee is my favourite exercise at the gym. I find it easier to do burpee's when warm though can't do it very well as a warm up.
Awesome that you brought up the meditative aspect of certain burpees such as the six count. I really do have to focus on my counting to keep track. It's hard to get distracted with stressful thoughts and drama when you gotta keep that count. Thanks for the insightful video, Wolf.
I was hesitant about watching this video. I have never done any burpee, this video might just have me to begin my burpee journey...
Burpees is not the best exercise because it's just a push exercise... You won't work the back that works with pull exercises
If you do push ups or burpees make sure to also do pull ups brotha
I have always been a skinny guy, indeed I have issues getting more weight, but thanks to your videos, I'm getting ripped and ripped, at this point 100 burpees a day every single Morning, thank you from Germany Brother!🇩🇪💪

Thanks for taking the time and for everything you do for us out here!
Know that you are loved and appreciated!
Burpees for life!
I pulled a muscle in my soul doing these.
I literally laughed out loud at work when I read this. Best comment ever! (I relate LOL)
Thanks to you I also started to do burpees workout. Since your channel is about fortifying your inner beast. Iron Wolf sounds suitable or best to my opinion. Being a university student and moderately active kid. Doing high volume training using just my own body-weight. A 23 year old adapting to marine workouts; one being multi functional, and two I learn something. But also, get to sleep well. I am glad to have you around here.
I just discovered you through some comments on one of my favorite channels, The Bioneer.
I need to tell you how much I appreciate, honor and respect you for serving what good is left in America today.
My father, had no patience and would find any reason to explode on me and beat me and we never had much of a connection. ( I ran away when I turned 19.)
I was never good enough for his standards. Mom passed away when I was just 16 and I never got to be around her much,
or have her comfort.
Bless you!
Thank you you for sharing your story and reaching out to me. We are one team here at the Wolfpack, much love brother.
