Just found your channel and I'm digging it. I recently bought a 2015 V-Strom 650 because it fits me very well. I'm actually a taller rider than you, at 6'7" and I have no trouble fitting on this bike with a raised seat. Rides awesome, great balance and highly recommended.

I've been going back and forth between the V-Strom 650 and the CB500X - very much enjoying your videos. Had considered the 360 camera, but bike, then farkles, then camera.
The honda cb500x is a excellent choice, but a kawasaki versys 650 is what is crossed shopped with the vstrom. At some point you have to stop thinking and go with your heart. If the honda makes sense and turns you on then thats the bike for you.
I had the same luxury problem! I compared and tried the CB500X (2020), V-Strom 650 (2020), Versys 650 (2020), NC750 (2020). The Versys 650 parallel twin engine was a bit too nervous for my liking, however, the CB500X parallel twin was very well balanced and was much smoother in my experience. I tried the NC750 just to check out the DCT (automatic transmission) and the extra power compared to the CB500X but I felt it just lacks character. The final standoff was between the V-Strom 650 and the CB500X. I had to take '2 up riding' into consideration and allthough I am sure the CB500X has no problem cruising 2 up I do think the V-Strom 650 has more power which allows for more awesome riding experience and the machine seems to have no problem with this at all! Also it is a very reliable bike and you get so much technology (twin spark engine, low RPM assist, traction control, ABS) and reliability for a decent price! So I bought the V-Strom 650 (new 2019 model) and I am loving it.

Perfect if you’re not short-legged, otherwise better chose the SV 650. Consider that it is a relatively light bike but heavier than some.
