  • Inshore Kayak fishing for Bass whilst trolling and for Wrasse with weedless lures -
In this video I venture out on my Kayak along the North coast of Jersey whilst looking to catch some Bass & Wrasse on the lures using different methods.
Using weedless soft lures for the wrasse around some rocky ground proves productive.
Trolling a lure behind the Kayak tempts a nice fish too.

I’m just running GoPros 9&10 matey.
When I use the underwater cameras underwater in my videos though I use spydro and gofish cameras I think I might get the new Westin trolling camera soon it looks ideal.
      Thanks for watching matey

@@FISHISLANDTV you do a very good job and it’s so great to see Jersey on RUclips. Some kit out you have on your kayak, it’s a serious belter. Looking forward to seeing your next one.

I love watching your videos, the Bream fishing reminds me off snapper fishing back in NZ! Where did you manage to get your Bixpy motor and battery from? I’ve been looking at getting one for my Reload in the UK but it’s a struggle…

Good to see you out on the kayak again. if you fall off the kayak are you connected with a rope to stop the kayak floating away? cheers

Hi matey and thanks for watching.
if I’m drifting no I don’t use a leash to myself and the yak but if I’m anchored up I used a waistline connected between my legs in the seating area and goes around my waist with a 5m leash inside a little pack.
I use a kill cord for my bixpy if I fall off whilst drifting and motors on.
thanks again for checking out the video bud !

I just bought a pen conflict xr spinning rod for my reload. I went with the 8ft 6" version. Do you think that will be to long or will that be ok. Cheers

Been using it from the shore the last few weeks and really like the rod

hi bud no I think that will be fine mate anything under 9ft really.
I think the only reason smaller rods are used is to prevent high tipping ( trying to net or grab the fish and your rods too long and vertical it could snap) if you got a net bud you’ll be fine matey.
I only buy separate rods eg Kayak and shore purely cause of the salt water I buy cheap rods for the Kayak matey.
the reels are the important part I’d say.
