Ireally enjoy your videos. I am building 5 shrimp pot using your design. I am a plumber so I have plenty of scraps for the materials. I am going to modify the bases for the St. Johns river here in north Florida but you have a solid design. Thanks for the great videos!! Keep them coming and stay healthy my friend.
@@Trojwaterman Thanks for the answer, I have a mackerel, cat food, potato and menhaden oil recipe I am going to try. I am using bait jars in these traps, anyhow CHEERS!!
Hi Troj, I hope all is well and good with you and fish-cat. Keep the videos coming. They're helping us all stay sane admist the lockdown. I miss the sea so much Much luv mate
Thanks for my morning smile 🇨🇦 some days I can almost feel the boat moving. Looks like the bass put up a decent fight, nice catch today. We really appreciate you out your videos 👍 stay safe everyone 🇨🇦
Morning Troj. Have made 4 of your d pots can’t wait for this pandemic to end so we can get them out and see what they catch.keep up the vlogs enjoy all of them seeing what you have been catching off the west coast. Stay safe mate.
Hi trojs how's the outboard running a tip that I was given was always keep spares with you especially the last plug that you take out of the motor but you don't seem to keep any spares on board ?
All my spares are on the main boat as its the reserve engine. I was only giving it a run and test. I had the oars and was only in the bay area which is pretty safe worst case you can just swim in there.
Mr Troj..could you post the date or month of your trips in future..It would be great to have a timeline...Great vid. hope you and yours are well..thankyou
@@Trojwaterman I did see on one of the Forums earlier that a group of Guys are considering campaigning for 3 Bass per day due to having lost so much fishing time because of this Virus. I don't think these UK lockdowns are going to be lifted for some weeks yet.
@@trampster7306 personally, I dont think we'll be allowed to " pleasure" fish until the end of the summer. If at all this year! Social distancing i agree with, but only to be allowed out for 1 hr to exercise is madness. We have the rescue helicopter out practically all day, everyday here in Weymouth checking that people aren't disobeying the distancing / congregating rules. Its a shame as the minority are ruining it for the majority and we've all been tarred with the same brush as the idiots that keep ignoring the guidlines.
They have small pincers type feet on the front They will grab things like shore crab with them and the mouth plates crushes up the crab they are formidable predator They will eat other things like seaweed as well
Great video, had a go running a yellow soft lure through the harbour on the way back in today with a running ledger - no luck haha what lure were you using?
great vid just wondering do you use barbless or barbed hooks fishing iam 130 kms from the coast in Townsville so getting my fishing fix from your videos thanks
Hi Troj Have you got a regular go to lure. If so what is it? Shallow dive or deep dive? Keep the videos coming. I’m getting withdrawal symptoms Cheers Dave Isle of Wight
Not really I often use different lures. I do use minnow style a lot, mackerel pattern ones and sandeel or generally longer lures ( I do like the rapala bonito pattern ). I don't find shorter ones so good or lures with to many joints. Lures that go anything from a 1ft to 6ft are good depends in what depth of water your fishing.
I like to leave them for about 48hrs and prefer not longer than a week. When the spider crab are here in numbers its better to check them sooner maybe a day as they just fill the pot and strip the bait.
Yes once behind the lighthouse years ago, you would get double figure bass fairly regular I had 2 rods out and they bother went at the same time I was reeling one fish in and had my foot on the other after it came out the rod holder. Then it shot out from under my foot and that was that but that was the only rod I have lost.

I did have a question about the bait you use in your prawn pots if you don't mind sharing it.
Always good to try new Ideas and see what works best in your area
@@teamdilligafffishing4058 I just use fish baits or shellfish.

Maybe But sometimes I purposely put videos up at later days especially bass for obvious reasons
Great vid bud what is the rules keeping bass etc size and dates we allowed to keep is it still one person thanks
I believe for recreational fishing its now 2 fish per day minimum size limit 42cm, always best to check the area you fish in case of any bylaws

@ Trojs Fishing Question how do lobsters with no claws survive till there new claws grow back like how do they eat?

Hi mate what lure was that you used
Looks like one of the crystal minnows But not 100% as I use a lot of different lures over the years
great vid just wondering do you use barbless or barbed hooks fishing iam 130 kms from the coast in Townsville so getting my fishing fix from your videos thanks
They are barbed the only thing I do sometimes is increase the hook size, helps to keep the smaller fish off
Just a quick question wot sort of rod are you using for the bass
9ft 10ft carbon This one I think was the Abu vendetta
Did wonder looks nice and balanced

Not yet but I will do later on
thanks you love your videos
Will you ever make any videos with smash fishing ?
Its possible if he wants to but it would not be for sometime with all whats going on
Thought you'd lost the rod at 2.42 Troj..Have you ever lost a rod?..
Great video as always BTW.

whats ur favourite bass plug
My favorite has always been the old wooden 11cm rapala magnum. Apart from that I don't have a favorite as what catches best changes all the time
Trojs I bet that bass Weighed 4 1\2 lbs
The curve on those cameras always makes the fish look smaller than they actually are
Nice bass.
i thought u would loos Your rod.. haha
