    Disney is really getting better at cgi now. The hair, the graphics and clothing too!

      I thought that it was trust, often symbolised by giving or receiving a gift, was the only thing capable of fighting the Drun. Therefore, when the Drun takes people's souls, the last thing he could take was their capacity to trust each other. So the stone people raise their hand to show that the last thing left into them before they were petrified was their capacity to trust, the thing the Drun has the most difficult to obtain and thus takes last.

  • @emionce5504

    My interpretation about why the rest of the tribes didn’t go looking for Sisu was that they found it too dangerous to do so. They’ve already lost a lot of their people and the only read way to deflect the enemy (unless you’re fully surrounded by water) is if you have a piece of the gem, which most don’t. Raya does have a gem piece though. That’s just my personal take though.

    • @meganesenpai
      @meganesenpai 3 года назад +8

      They mean why not go looking for the in the whole 500 year period, or since whenever the myth that she's still alive was born.
      Also, it seems that later on, it only took Raya a few days, weeks at most to travel between all the countries by boat seeking the gems, but why before it took her 6 years to go to all 9 branches of the river?

    • @hilliplays2302
      @hilliplays2302 3 года назад +16

      @@meganesenpai yeah, I saw those flaws in the movie. It feels like there is a missing piece in the 6 years of searching. Kumandra is not big enough for her to search for it that long. There were also not a lot of water sources in the scroll she stole from Fang. However, this can be tolerated because she only stole the scroll 6 months before she met Sisu as mentioned in the movie, but there should be clues to what she's actually been doing the last 5 & 1/2 years - instead of just searching. Moreover, I dont believe that all of Hart population were turned into stone, so maybe Raya was with them the entire time as they were her subjects. I also think that Chief Virana should be given more screentime in the movie as she actually became a villain towards the end of the movie, but then again, maybe the director thought the scene where she gave the gem piece to Namari was unnecessary and time wasting.

    • @lavane26
      @lavane26 3 года назад +39

      @@meganesenpai I think it was because in the 500 year period the people probably fell into a false sense of security, and also probably thought that the dragon still being alive was just a myth. They probably didn't think they needed it because as long as the gemstone was safe, they were safe from the Drunn returning. And just like with everything, they didn't learn from the past so they ended up repeating it.

    I can actually answer a few of this things. 1.) Raya told Namari it was Sisu knowing full well Namari wouldnt trust her word. As namari is the first person Raya trusted other then her father and that trust was betrayed. 2.) the clans stayed apart because they got what they wanted a piece of dragon magic and were more interested in protecting their piece then collecting more. This also means that other then fang they had no idea raya was collecting gem pieces. Also everyone believed heart was destroyed. 3.) the overall plot in this movie and avengers end game is a popular plot line used in fables fairy tales and legends so its common to see it through out media and pop culture every now and then. 4.) if look at the surrounding on rayas journey you see remains of stone people caravans and rubbish showing that people did search for Sisu and just never succeeded. And 5.) Most legends leave out big chunks or change important bits as they are told by survivors not wanting to show or admit fault so it make since people would not tell how the druin really came to be.

  • @Adi-369
    @Adi-369 3 года назад +61

    Maybe other people didn't search for it because Disney wanted to indicate here how truly a heart works because Raya is from the heart part of kumandra, it's emotional, trusts anyone blindly, and when it's scared with betrayal it tries hard to not trust anyone, so yeah basically DISNEY indicated how truly our heart functions emotionally

So when everyone comes back there would likely be a famine that would last a couple years until farming started up again (just wanted to bring it up because they make it out to be a happy ending but in reality it would be much more difficult. Raya didn't know until Namaari told her so. But it probably wasn't a true story anyway. Other people may have looked before, but they just wouldn't have found Sisu because they wouldn't have prayed with sincerty in their heart if they were looking out for their own interests. Even Raya only had this sincerity because of her father.

    I didn’t get romantic from this, only mutual respect and dual interests, which eventually became a close friendship. Not all these movies need to have a love storyline FFS. Lots of women have close relationships with mutual love and admiration with other women, without it being romantic. It’s a little disappointing that “tension” among women is seen to equal romantic attraction, like women can’t be attracted to each other without hating each other first. If they were actually love interests, it would be due time to Disney to introduce this explicitly.

      This looks like crisis and trauma response.
      Sometimes you don’t have a lot of time to develop things. Especially in crisis.
      Sometimes you have to make split decisions and have faith In that decision. You have to trust people you don’t know or don’t like because your back is against the wall.
      Sometimes those decisions bite you in the butt and sometimes those decisions save people.

    1) Raya had the means to do it, ie, already being in possession of one of the pieces
    2) People in the other kingdoms had a gem piece, so they were protected and there was no reason to venture outside of their own kingdom. The leaders were happy to look after their own and if one of the citizens had wanted to look for the other pieces then they would have had to steal the gem piece from their kingdom first which they probably couldn’t have done.

    What I learned watching this video ?
    If you have something in common with a person and you trust him = LGBT.
    That is not what trust and having something in common means.
    Love =/= trust and having things in common !

      Maybe because they were willing to sacrifice to save their people, where other people were running away and they didn't?! Idk but thats what i think.

      @@nomenetaniufafo6188 interesting. but that doesnt make sense cuz raya's dad sacrifice his life to save Raya also but he also does that pose when he turns to stone.

      I would say that is because that they were touching another person, and also it makes that final scene very heartbreaking with them basically hugging, with Boon hugging Rayas leg

      I think it was just a matter of taking some artistic liberty. They wanted to show the gangs trust in each other by having them close. It had more emotional impact that way.

    I don't think age matters in regards to understanding this. I think it's worldliness and/or cultural background. :) Great video though!

    The Dragon Gem in detailed view shows some cracks and seams similar to the disassembled parts in the movie's timeline.
    Could that be a subtle hint that the gem might have been cracked in conflict once before?

    I mean comparing raya to the endgame is kinda lame... Because before endgame Dragonball (a threat appears, humanity being wiped out, a group of fighters, the use of the dragonballs to bring back all the people they lost etc.) had a similar plot, just saiyan.
