@@Gemini_Connect You’re literally using a thumbscrew which isn’t what he’s referring to. There’s a screw that goes in which wouldn’t cause your media mod to look so awkward.
@@Gemini_Connect the screw that you are meant to use comes with the gimbal. Not the black GoPro thumb screw as you demonstrate in your vid. The intended screw has a hex wrench head and is much shorter and stays out of the way. I hope you didn't accidentally overlook it in the box and throw it away. Check out the photos of the item on the amazon link you provided. It shows the small silver colored screw being used where you used the thumbscrew. Just a helpful FYI. Great videos, by the way.
Hi Suzi. I modified the long go pro screw you filmed at 2:34 by simply putting a spacer on the thread initially. In my case, I used a slightly oversized nut found in my bits and bobs box.
If I understand it correctly the gimbal comes with an allen screw to use when the media mod is in place. But if you want to skip tools then the spacer is a good idea. @flyingpete
Hello so in your initial comparison of the Inkee to the Hoheme, two major strikes against the Inkee was its inability to do motion time lapse, and its poor iPhone interface. Did they fix this either of these problems in their upgrade? Thanks
Hi Suzi.. do you think this gimbal can manage the weight of GP11 + MediaMod + DJI Mic(or Hollyland Lark M1) I thought, its overloaded.. but saw your video with Rode external mic.. Is the gimbal balancing good.. ?
Hi Suzi. Thanks for your videos and reviews. They're always great and they helped me immensely. I been waiting for either the Inkee Falcon or the Hohem Pro 4 to be updated to accept a Go Pro with the MediaMod. Thought it had happened with the Falcon Plus, but glad that you pointed out how awkward the new mounting is the the poor fitting GoPro screw. Guess I'll wait a bit longer for them to fix it.
Love your videos. Just bought the falcon plus as I wanted to use it with the newer anamorphic lens, but I can't get it to balance correctly (too heavy on the lens side) and can't adjust any further with the horizontal balance screw. Any clues or suggestions appreciated
Follow up to my earlier comment about the awkward screw mounting. Watched a couple of other vlogs about the unit and some used a screw that they said came with the kit which didn't have the large Go Pro style head on it. It appeared that the fit was much improved. Also, wondered if you can mount it using a Ulanzi Go Quick II release so as not to have to screw and unscrew it to the mount all the time without throwing off the gimbal balance?
Hello. I enjoyed your presentation. I recently purchased a DJI Action 3. I'd like to get a gimbal for it but there are very few choices and none (that I can find) that will connect via Bluetooth. I wonder if the Inkee could work with my Action 3 just manually with no Bluetooth? Thanks
I bought the hohem 4 recently for my vlogging and love it, especially at night. I alsoount it in my motorbike and can pan and tilt camera whilst riding with ultra smooth shots BUT I narrate my videos whilst riding and HATE not being able to use the media mod with the iSteady4. Now I have to bring a audio recorder and waste heaps of time syncing audio in the edits.. I'm now thinking of buying this. Has anyone done a 3d printed adapter for the iSteady 4 to take the media mod?
I really like the falcon plus, but having to attach and balance the GoPro EVERY time you mount it makes it less accessible for me. I end up grabbing the Hohem since it has that quick release function. If the falcon plus had a quick detach mount, it would be the perfect gimbal for me.
Thx for the video. Can you use this falcon plus gimbal with a gopro hero 10 and a skyreat anamorphic lens? I believe it may be over max payload but I’ve seen some people do it. Thx!
I bought this after your comparisson vid wity tge hohem as soon as it was released i wish they would have 1. Reversed the gimbal frame so you could use the 2nd cold shoe mount on the side. 2. Made it so you could hold it upside down for low level shooting which you can't do with the media mod in with the light atratched. If they had reversed the whole thing as I said above you could use the 2nd side cold shoe mount making this possible. Otherwise its a good budget gimbal
I've been in the market for a dedicated GoPro gimbal, and this one seems just right except for the screw issue. I have a screw from a third party GoPro suction mount attachment that has only two flanges instead of four (I'm not really sure what to call the smooth notches at the end of the screw that bulge out to allow for your fingers to get in there and turn the screw more easily). I wonder if I use the one with two flanges (or wings or whatever) and get it situated just right I can avoid the large bulge at the end that makes the camera sit unevenly. Or maybe I can even grind down some of the plastic to reduce the bulk. I am going to give it a try. I just watched the video on the Amazon page selling the Falcon Plus, and it shows a narrower silver metal screw that is supposed to come with the gimbal in place of the bulky black screw. If mine comes with that then the problem is solved for me.
@@Gemini_Connect Mine came with the correct silver-colored smaller screw, but I read some reviews that said some people are getting gimbals that are missing the correct attachment parts. I know that eventually I'll lose this one little screw so I just went to a hardwear store and picked up a couple backups for about a dollar. The correct size is (metric) M5 .80 x 16 Socket Head Cap Screw. I love this Falcon Plus. It is so light and easy to use!

I don't think so. This gimbal is made to support small action cameras. If you want a do it all gimbal, I'd look at the Zhiyun Crane 2S or M3 (we have a video comparison).
Do you think you can use Snapmount with it? It might become too big or too heavy to work? Btw, I think you're not supposed to use the black screw for the media mod. Because I just saw their official channel video and they use it only when you install only the GoPro. They used the silver screw when using with the mod

I havent used the Sony RX0 ii (I find the focal length of 24mm too tight), but based on pictures, it looks like there is a 3.5mm mic jack on the camera, so you can easily plug in the mic. What's missing on the Sony is a cold shoe mount for attaching the mic. I'd maybe look at getting the MT47 tripod that has a cold shoe mount on the base.
Can someone please help me find a piece that connects the gimbal to a go pro chest vest? I want to be able to walk hands free with the gimbal attached to my chest. I want to have very stable videos while l hike.
From what I have seen, this is best done with a dedicated gimbal chest mount. Feiyutech makes one for older GoPros (Hero 8 and below), but I haven't seen one for newer GoPros.
It depends on the camera model. Older GoPro gimbals tend to support every GoPro up to the Hero 7. The GoPro size changed for the Hero 8 and 9, so not all gimbal will support them. But if you get a newer gimbal for the Hero 9 of 10, it will likely support older GoPros since they are smaller.
@@Gemini_Connect Thanks! So, the first consideration is weight. I am considering whether I need separate gimbals for my GoPro Hero 10 and my iPhone--my two primary cameras. The iPhone is 33% heavier than the GoPro. So in theory ... a gimbal that can handle the iPhone could also handle the GoPro? Assuming of course that there's a gimbal that can grip both cameras.
