Legend. Goat. National Treasure that must be protected at all costs. Spirit animal. BFF. La La la, hum dee dum. Bippity Bobbity boo. The mouse ran off with the shoe
My ideal back workout that I got from Onlymeal is something like: 3x15 Lat pulldown, 3x12 reverse lat pulldown, 3x8 arm dumbbell row, 3x12 cable row and bent over row 2x10. With their workout and meal plan I lost 56lbs in three months and everybody started to notice changes on my body. Of course, with hard workout you need to be strict about diet and find the proper one. My current daily caloric intake is 2400kcal.
He was a great man, I hope his family are doing well - it was always great to see Alexander do you tricks in John's videos, a proud father. I loved John's videos because you could tell he genuinely wanted to pass along some good advice to the next generation.
Yup Arnold preaches thinking of your elbows like hooks and pull from there on any lat movements. It’s a great visualization for me when working the back.
i'm glad they still upload more of this legend, even tho it must be hard, it's still positivty, and spreading lots of information for alot of people traing who needs in, whether it be new people, or advanved,. much love from DK
The one that gets me is when people do a lat pulldown followed by a triceps extension. I tell them keep your hands above your elbows or it's no longer a lat exercise. Besides sucking, the machine runs out of cable and the stack crashes into the stops.
Who in the actual f**k has done that? Guy's gotta have a lat-to-tricep ratio that would make Rich Piana jealous 😂 If I ever see that in the gym, please god let there be someone filming my face
The dudes that are ramming back hard are the dudes who stack it and do shit form and then slam the weight.... Well done for not training your back and getting any reps ... But you do you buddy xx:)

Thanks to John's family for adding more videos and keeping his knowledge alive. This gentle giant is an invaluable source of learning
Best weight lifting advice channel for me

For all of Jhon's family especially and for those of us who never forget him... we wish you a Merry Christmas from Spain.
This is a game changer. Every time I see someone not puff their chest at the gym when doing lat pulldown, I'm tempted to correct them.
Keeping the sternum lifted / chest high during the peak contraction of back movements is such a small thing that makes a big difference.
Rip 🐐
I didn’t know he went to Paradise 🙏 truly a Great amongst greats.
Keep posting, RIP John. Thank you for sharing your knowledge .
I still use his videos to help with my training. RIP Mountain Dog 🐕
Grand homme et grand athlète 👍. Repose en paix champion 🙏
John knew I was gonna hit back and biceps today. 🙏
Many people don't know this, but when it comes to targeting the lats - overhand grip is inferior to both underhand and neutral grip
Great advice. Be sure to get that nice stretch at the top.
Still the best coach ever!

Advice from the master. RIP Mt Dog.
The goat
I hate it when people just let go of the bar when they're done with their last rep.
Man, I miss this man. 😭

I’ve seen some fucked up technique but I don’t know that I’ve seen anyone try to do a lat pull-down muscle up before lmao
Who in the actual f**k has done that? Guy's gotta have a lat-to-tricep ratio that would make Rich Piana jealous 😂
If I ever see that in the gym, please god let there be someone filming my face
It's amazing that everybody, regardless of what sport they are training lats for, should do the lat pulldown exactly the same.
It's a bodybuilding channel, bro
The best!
thx
Like CT Fletcher says "ISYMFS" ... God bless you Mt. Dog... still reppin in Heaven
I do my lat pulldowns behind my head. Feel a much better pull on the lats that way. I do close-grip, reverse pulldowns in front tho.
Great video
Rest in peace coach ❤
🙌
We miss you big guy
Miss you teacher
“But John, this means I’ll have to lighten the weight and now I’ll be self conscious about what other people think of me in the gym.” 😱
that explains that
Luke Skywalker!
Broooo i was like .... how nice to see this guy, like he is still with us... but reality hit back :(((( RiP :/
The dudes that are ramming back hard are the dudes who stack it and do shit form and then slam the weight.... Well done for not training your back and getting any reps ... But you do you buddy xx:)
He’s back fellas. Least on RUclips
Mike says palm up for pull downs
Hi everybody!
So, while being a zombie?
If you follow this channel and Mike Israetel, you are gonna become legend
wow I thought you were dead!
I often see people do these and they jerk back.. Clearly they doing it wrong, and using probably too much weight..
Focus on hugging/wrapping your spine with your lats… Stay fit 💪🏻
Isnt this guy dead? so why post lol stop posting and respect the guy he is dead and no longer here. sends a wrong signal to people.
This dude is so hardcore he’s still showing us technique from beyond the grave. Respect. 🫡
