This is the creepiest guided meditation I've ever listened to 😬
🤣🤣🤣
May I recommend Journey through the Microcosmos? Brilliant, same vibes
😂😂 cheers
agree, and I AM HERE FOR IT! lol
Thought this was yoga but I can't "stretch my body into organic ever changing shapes."
There is something nice about, despite being within the cold, isolating depths of our vast oceans, we are never truly alone.
i also always carry a friendly isopod within me.
I'm a big fan of this new, calmer approach. The internet is so hyper nowadays it's good to take a few minutes to just chill out and breathe while learning something new.
You should check out their Journey into the Microcosmos channel if you haven't already! Very chill episodes that are even better before going to bed in the evenings.
I personally am a big fan of the vibe change in this episode I feel like it's less of an info dump and more of a time to observe and appreciate these cool creatures.
If I recall, I remember hearing that the undulating was actually caused by the propellers on the ROV filming it causing currents in the water and pushing it around. I think in its natural habitat it attempts to remain as still as possible and simply spread out like a ball
yea it looks like most of the time it just stays perfectly still floating from some of the clips, and the ones where its moving dont seem to make sense for if it was trying to travel so i wouldnt doubt its just being knocked around by the suddenly stronger currents of the submarine/drone (whatever they film these with)
omg I loved the vibes of this episode, haunting yet calming. Loved the cute variation of the Bizarre Beasts jingle. I also loooooooooove Nautilus live. Would love more episodes like this from bizarre beasts!
+
The isopod in the jelly makes me think of a one-person generation ship. I wonder if they could ride between whalefalls in the jelly getting some food on the way and "break down" bigger jelly prey to allow the jelly to catch bigger stuff that would otherwise be able to break free.
an extra episode?!?! thank you 💖💖💖
I breed Isopods as a consequence of keeping bioactive enclosures for my scaly friends. I am always entertained how big their cousins are in other ecosystems.
I could listen to you talk about anything. So relaxing and informative.
Great work, Team!
That isopod is so cute! My daughter loves pill bugs, she likes to catch them, watch them roll up, slowly uncurl, and then start walking around again. They're her little friends.
Marine isopods aren't as adorable as terrestrial ones; frequently, they're parasites. (On a side note though did you know that you can keep isopods as pets? Way easier than fish!)
they make really good pets. they exist in cool colours as well!
Amazing! This is the BEST episode ever! The music, the voice, the information perfect for this rainy day in Pittsburgh. Would love to see more of these!
Awesome to see deepstaria getting some love! We need a deepstaria pin!
I'm gonna need a 30mn version of this 😧😍
I don't mind the calm nature of the video at all. It's just too short for my liking. I love Nautilus live so getting extra information on the things they see down in the depths will always be welcomed.
That was crazy! the part with the isopod was so unexpected. Symbiotic relationships are always so cool and fascinating. Nature really loves coming up with wierd stuff!
I love this new episode so much! Like the Deep Sea Oddities! Calm, quiet, it is better than some usually very excited voices. 👍from🇨🇦
This felt alot more like welcome to the microcosmos and it fits really well this this bizarre beast
Really strong Welcome to Nightvale vibes from this. Loved it.
I didn't know how much I wanted this collab' until I saw it!
Nautilus Live is SO GREAT! Wonderful video - a very nice change of pace, too, and it felt like it really suited the subject as well. Deepstaria are endlessly fascinating, even though they aren't "doing" much. And I very much wonder about their isopod roomies too! I remember at one point someone saying "it's as if the jellyfish has a pet" haha
That was a very lovely bedtime story...uhmm guided meditation😁 Thanks BB have seen Deepstaria on Nautilus Live...wickedly awesome💙💙
I am always down for more bizarre beasts in any form!
I woke up to a cool jellyfish video this is gonna be a good day
watching this while high and this is the most profound, incredible experience
You'd think the isopod would be a liability for the jelly 🤔
why?
@@Rob.DB. well the jelly's transparent right? Because it's an ambush predator. So like- maybe it's my human eyes- but a big, red, not transparent thing you'd think would be super visible to prey. But so far every jelly they've found of this species has one. So either: it's not that detrimental, or the only ones we see aren't that great at not being seen. Or maybe they're fully symbiotic or some other thing.
@@samarnadra neat! TIL, thanks
Great video. I was excited to see what the pin looked like and then remembered they already had one this month. I think this could still make a really interesting pin though.
I for one enjoy this type of calming, slow-paced, guided tour of the deep sea. The narrator's voice lulled me in to a fuzzy, warm blanket of comfort. I only wish that it was longer than 4 minutes.
I find this length is ideal for re-centering yourself after dealing with an irate customer or apathetic CSR over the phone, though. Here's to hoping we get more content like this in the future, only longer. We're looking at the Next David Attenborough voice over artist in the making, so I believe a round of applause is in order as well.👏
Thank you Bizarre Beasts!
YESSS more collabs with Nautilus Live pls!
ooh oooh and the micro-cosmos style chill vibe was delightful. 🙂
Welcome to Night Vale vibes this episode, love it !!
This video has some strong Journey to the Microcosms energy
This is an amazing format. Please make more of these, and thank you for making this one.
This was delightful, I love the new style!
Loved this episode! Perfect atmosphere for a delightful creature
i loved this♡ its what i love about Journey to the microcosmos but with animals in general, not just the small unseen♡
This is so calm I love it
I really loved the calm pacing of this episode. while it's fine and lovely to get excited about strange creatures, a gentler pace was also really, really nice! loved the intro
This is a great format, I like it even more than the regular uploads!
Perfect timing, I'm rewatching a year later, thanks y'all!
Ooh I LOVE this!!! Guided meditation vibes AND a bizarre beast? Great combo!!
This is so relaxing, as well as informative.
I like this new video type soothing yet still informative, nice work guys.
I loved the guided meditation vibe, absolutely would love more of this
It's like that plastic bag scene from American Beauty with the closest the animal kingdom has to just a plastic bag.
The EVNautilus episode that included this clip was very exciting.
Who ya gonna call?
A Marine Biologist!
This is really cool!!! Love the change in pace
these jellies seem like the sorts turtles would eat and have plastic bags mistaken for those jellies
Absolutely fascinating! Loving this
I really appreciate that the screen time is fully devoted to the creature
I like this format so much more! Please do more like this
I actually really enjoyed this version. I like seeing the real life chill images of the 'beast'
I love it. Mesmerizing and relaxing. Wonderful
This was a very calming video. I needed that with the hectic day i have had. Thank you.
oh my god the journey to the microcosoms reference at the end (this is a positive)
What a weird pokemon
I've been watching these all day as I've been doing spring cleaning, it's been a good day 💖
That was oddly delightful
Gelatinous drawstring bag was a combo of words that I never expected
I love the new format! I'll definitely watch the next one
Wonderful!
I love this, I get Journey to the Microcosmos vibes
Aaaah, a chill episode. Exactly what I needed!!
I love this. Two thumbs up!
I can sleep to this. I love how calm and amazed this video makes me feel.
i love this! this is one of the coolest jellies imo, because it has a little buddy along for the ride! this video was great!
For this kind of calming content, I’d prefer longer videos. Really enjoyed it - but if I were trying to drift off, I’d need at least 15 minutes.
We liked the calm journey. Watching with the family as usual...
Bizarre Beasts becoming more like Journey to the Microcosmos?? I’ll sub right now
I love this new format 💗
This calm format fits perfectly for deep sea creatures.
Yes! Extra Bizzare Beasts video?! Today is the best day! Also, that's a very cool creature!
it's gorgeous!
This was the perfect thing to watch before bed, thank you. 😊
it kind of looks like a phantom jellyfish.
Maybe it's because it's almost 1am here but I totally dig this format. Especially since I've been on a deep ocean kick lately. This was chill, informative, and fascinating!
EVNautilus and MBARI videos can be very addictive!
I love this format
This style fit well with the animal
Loved this!
No need to imagine aliens, our world is already a foreign land.
Some really awesome footage
It was a great video. Looking forward what you will bring to us in this new format in the future
Two bizarre animals in one month, that cool
That is truly bizarre. And fascinating.
Natural World Facts makes similar calm oceanic documentaries for anyone interested. More focused on ecosystems than individual creatures.
loveee this!!
So facinating!
Also, I like this style! :D
I wonder if the bright red of the isopod is meant to attract prey for the jelly and the isopod to share. That would be a fascinating and somewhat unique symbiotic relationship if so.
Red is a camouflage color in the deep ocean since red light is the first to get filtered out.
I really love the original format but this is pretty cool too. If I had to pick though I'd say OG format
I love the languid feel of this video.
I loved the episode, but I'll admit I'm fonder of the conventional model for Bizarre Beasts
the calmness of this video was a very nice change
This was fun and different!
I want to see a Ratchet and Clank / Banjo and Kazooie style platformer with a deepstaria and an isopod
Bizarre Beasts: What if we did ASMR but creepy and about animals?
Me: where do I sign up?
Even the jelly fish has a better social life than me 😂
the isopod jus chillin🤷♀
One of the most long lasting battles in nature is of course... the battles between Jelly Fish, and PeanutButter Fish the results of which are most devastating to the losers. The almost completely extinct PeanutButter Fish is rarely seen these days beyond just rumors, and gossip. ;)
I think this would work with the more "creepy" animals
Journey to the ̶m̶i̶c̶r̶o̶ macrocosmos
