My husband took me to Outback on our first date! Let me tell ya all a very good start for a solid marriage, would recommend everyone!! 8 years later went for a nice meal there just yesterday 😋
My boyfriend of a year now and I never really had a first date. I was in my last semester of high school and he was a junior. We talked in class like three times and then he asked for my Snapchat. I would pick him up from the bus station and take him home so he didn’t have to walk. Those drives were our first dates.
My first date was with the school's winning quarterback. He had to come to my house, with all my siblings (6 of them) present. We had to stay where my mom could see us. That was my first date. I was a freshman he was a senior. Needless, to say we didn't have a second date.
That was a great gift, Rhett. The barbie with the Great score of 36! Thoughtful! Also, if someone is terrible to people working at a restaurant, I wouldn't go out with them again. If someone doesn't tip because the waiter was absolutely terrible for no reason , it wouldn't be a no-go. But if they still tip. It just shows they are the type of person that considers others (this is just my opinion, my way of thinking). EVERYONE is different and in no way, shape, or form am I judging you! Of course, unless this offended you.....then yes, yes I am judging you lol jk

I def understand where you come from, Rhett lol. I grew up in Northern Maine, where I had to drive 3 hours, 1hr of which was driving just to get to the nearest interstate south. Because the interstate doesn't go up to where I grew up. So... the nearest Wendy's, Outback, Texas Roadhouse etc... were 3.5hrs south of me haha. Used to ride my bike everyday into the small little one street town I grew up in, just so I could play with my friends.
I met my SO at Wednesday night youth group during free time before Bible study. A group of us played Legend of Zelda and only me and one other guy knew each other then in high school we all kind of found each other again.
I don’t think that it was a church thing with not knowing how to date. I think it was more our generation and growing up in a smaller town. I moved around a lot due to military and moving from Jacksonville to Crestview (both in Florida) were two totally different places. I had a similar experience with dating, I had one girlfriend in high school freshman year of college. Broke up and then didn’t date for almost 2 years then met my wife
Regarding tips - I notice more restaurants are not giving you a chance to pick less than a certain amount. I went and picked up takeout at a restaurant. When my gift card went in, I could pick from either 20 or 25 percent tip. There was no option to not tip. I picked the 20% option. The woman was awkward and not good at math. She tried to overcharge me on the amount I paid in cash. Personally, I tend to tip 15 percent in restaurant though less if crap service or just picking up (10%). I'm usually doing okay money-wise but there are times when eating out is a treat.

Me and my SO were good friends for about 10 years before we got together. Our families knew each other, we knew each other’s previous relationships. So we went on a first date to make it “official” on April 1st just in case it didn’t work out. We wound up seeing “Us” and then going to dinner we were both kind of just sitting in my car talking about the movie, his daughter, what all of our friends would say, etc. A couple hours later we didn’t know where to eat. We just decided to go to McDonald’s. We made DnD character sheets together for memes and we didn’t want it to end. So we went and walked around the neighborhood before I took him home. It did not at all feel like a first date and we both loved that it was so simple because we already knew everything about each other so it was just two best friends hanging out. We still have all of our friends and in 3 years next month with custody of his child we still just randomly be like “You know what sounds fun? Making enough popcorn to feed a small army and watch RUclips videos of cats getting scared of cucumbers!” “I’m in! I’m ordering milkshakes! Can we play Mario Party after?”
I'm not from the USA and the first time I heard that that's what people get paid, I thought it was a joke. It's absolutely appalling, I can't believe that's legal! It's just horrible
The rule of thumb we use in our house is that we tip the amount of a meal at that establishment. Unless it’s something where there’s a huge number of people in our party or there are a very Karen-esque persons in our party that cause extra work for the waitstaff.
Not tipping, or not tipping well is not the same thing as not treating a server like **%$. We always treat servers well. But my country doesn't have a tipping culture. We only tip for special service, as in the server going beyond their normal duties, or extraordinarily good service. When I first visited the US, It was genuinely shocking to find out that you were supposed to tip _every single time._
I rather it the way in the us… servers will treat you better and go above and beyond because they are working for your tip essentially… they also end up making way more money…
@@LiLKK713PB I rather it the way in my country and outside the US. So service workers can have a stable, living wage that doesn't depend on the whims of a customer, and they can still earn a bonus/bigger tip now and then for going the extra mile.

I would take a premature explosion as a compliment. But that does not mean the activity has to cease. If a guy cannot continue to please a partner after he is done…run.
I think it's OK if a guy runs off as long as there is a conversation about it and the next time he knows that he can continue. I imagine the first time it happens must be very embarrassing and I can understand just running off. But you are right that it feels like a compliment to the women, once it happened to me and it was a massive confidence boost as I had some pretty big insecurities at the time
I have to disagree, if you are an asshole to service workers you are not a great person. It doesn’t take special knowledge to treat underpaid workers with respect.
Rhett has gotten insecure about the age difference between him and his wife at the time of them first starting to date time and time again and I have started wondering if this is a more common thing to be so self conscious about in America? Here in Europe (the Netherlands) I don't think it's an incredibly big deal to have even bigger age gaps. My partner and I are 8 years apart, a good friend of mine has been in a loving relationship with a woman for years who is a decade older than him. There are always things to be careful about within a relationship but I don't think the maturity level of a person is tied to that "magic" number 18. There are boys and girls who aren't ready to date until they're in their mid twenties and some that feel like they want to pursue a relationship much earlier. Obviously there are cases of predatory behavior from an older person towards a much younger person who abuses the fact that these people haven't fully matured yet but high schoolers now saying they can't date someone who's in an earlier year seems a bit excessive to my silly little Dutch self XD ! No disrespect meant of course, just curious :) !
I think the main issue is when it involves a minor and someone who is not a minor. Large age gaps in general are accepted, for example a 25 year old dating a 35 year old would be fine
Only official mention of the term potato face ive heard was referring to Kyle MacLachlan's casting in Lynch's adaptation of Dune in an article written by David Foster Wallace. He used it to mean a soft and oval shaped face.
Idk about that. I mean, some vodkas are made from potato but could a club comedian really expect an audience to put that together, and what does that have to do with the face?
Where I live once you are 16 you can legally date someone no more than 4 years older if older you must have parents permission or you get slapped with statutory r@pe My husband and I's first date was having a drink on a picnic table that was at an abandoned church next to a place he was living the best part is the week before I gave him the cold shoulder so bad 🤣🤣 married almost 6 years together almost 11 and 2 babies later he's my best friend ❤️

Our "first date" was 7 months into our long distance relationship when I was in high school. 5 and a half years later, we're now engaged.
Rhett used to look like the drugdealing boyfriend from six feet under (Eric Balfour) lol
Link is so wonderfully weird 😆
I would take a premature explosion as a compliment. But that does not mean the activity has to cease. If a guy cannot continue to please a partner after he is done…run.
I think it's OK if a guy runs off as long as there is a conversation about it and the next time he knows that he can continue. I imagine the first time it happens must be very embarrassing and I can understand just running off. But you are right that it feels like a compliment to the women, once it happened to me and it was a massive confidence boost as I had some pretty big insecurities at the time
hello ear biscuiteers when did Rhett get some
ink i just noticed this
There is a gmmore about it.
I have to disagree, if you are an asshole to service workers you are not a great person. It doesn’t take special knowledge to treat underpaid workers with respect.
Agreed all tho I wouldn’t say underpaid… waiters get paid fairly well (depending on location) and it’s not a very hard job… easily replaceable
Not a compliment... but also not a big deal at all. It happens. Just help him laugh it off so he doesn't feel weird about it.
Link is so contrary today! 👀
Only official mention of the term potato face ive heard was referring to Kyle MacLachlan's casting in Lynch's adaptation of Dune in an article written by David Foster Wallace. He used it to mean a soft and oval shaped face.
It’s a Russian vodka joke
Idk about that. I mean, some vodkas are made from potato but could a club comedian really expect an audience to put that together, and what does that have to do with the face?
@@lucasmassaro1216 whatever you want to believe my friend
Can you explain the humor behind the joke?
Where I live once you are 16 you can legally date someone no more than 4 years older if older you must have parents permission or you get slapped with statutory r@pe

I did this , Wich now many years later I would never do! But while on their way out I asked the man , sir I noticed you didn’t tip me, was everything alright was your service tonight? He said yea.
