@GOD AND DEVIL. What are you talking about? Nothing in my statement was directed toward steel or infrastructure. Have you even attempted to “fact check” my statement to find how many different methods people use to refine gold? Please feel free to spend a little time to see how many methods people use to end up with the same pure gold ingots before you make a complete fool if yourself yet again. And while you’re at it please point out anywhere in my initial statement I mention anything about steel or infrastructure.
Interesting mold process. However not once did it show them weighed out. I can tell you between to silver rounds 1 Troy Ounce (31.10 grams) can vary .04-.13 grams. Sometimes more but so far never below. In gold that cost would be magnified greatly. Best I can tell those rollers were not being adjusted by thickness. They were cutting out based on a template. Then the melted gold bar, also not weight tested? This would bother me just on weight part. Then guessing how they test or purify the gold is another video. Saw nothing here to suggest testing was done. Little shocking considering how much money your talking in even .25 Troy ounces (7.775869g). See the degrees of accuracy there? Metric is king system to use. .3 g (.96463 % of 31.1 g) of gold is a $18.64/22,736.51 won mistake. That will add up, also as of April 2, the US dollar can buy a lot in metals from Korea it looks like.
The rolled thickness and size of the die would be predetermined to result in a bar of the correct weight, once that's figured out (via calculation and a little bit of trial & error), then they just go into mass-production as shown in the video.
Well haven't seen how this gold bar making process was done but got to see the facility from outside. My father works in mines. And he showed me around the gold mine, explained the process of extracting gold. Well I was little so don't remember much but it was done like washing up gold particles in flowing water and using some sort of acid seperation, idk exactly. And then it was made into bars. He told me that he didn't had authorisation to enter that area. It was very dusty but i had fun.
basically to purify the gold is dissolved in a mixture of acids called aqua regia, which only dissolves the gold and leaves all the other metals behind. You then precipitate the gold out of the solution with another chemical, that makes a powder of pure gold. That's melted down to make the pure bars.
As a metal worker, almost everything step of this process has a learned reflexive response that screams "JESUS CHRIST YOU'RE RUNINIG IT! THINK ABOUT THE OXIDES! EVERY GRAM OF THAT IS WORTH SAVING" and then I remember that its pure gold and you might as well be running a cheat code hack on reality by working with it.
Really easy to see why gold became so valuable. Really Beautyful metal. Making things out of this metal would be highly prized items even if you had no idea how much it's cash value is.
Even though one of my hobbies are metals and I love many different ones, gold is my favorite. Unfortunately it’s quite expensive so I won’t be able to own that much, for now at least.
