It was probably a glitch on the capture but not on the console/runner's TV, if I had to guess. So they wouldn't even have seen it happening, in that case.
Saw this run live on twitch a few hours ago and despite the weird coloring error happening it was still fantastic! I remember I’ve only seen a 100% run of X3 so seeing the any% run was really cool, Zach did phenomenally.
Zach is a great speedrunner, have played F-Zero GX with him, and he taught me how to TA that game when starting out. Seen him get a wr on a TV I found on the road with no sound, using computer speakers for the audio.
Getting the flashing lights warning to show up and go away every 20 seconds is super distracting. I'm glad they have one, but please just put it somewhere away from the gameplay if it's going to show up that often.
X3 feels like the fastest of the X games once you really take your time for it. It's also one of my top 3 games of all time precisely because of that. At the highest skill level, watching gameplay of X3 is a treat
There being content warnings at all is new to me and actually awesome! Though it depends: If the warning is a live overlay, then I think it can be somehow excused. Otherwise, if this is a post-recording overlay, I agree, it has to appear like seconds before said content even appears. There oughtta be some prefacing to how frequent the warning appears. I wonder if it's automated though; if so that's impressive.
I'm both amused and confused how the colors randomly change after the Tunnel Rhino miniboss ans the couch says nothing about it

That's why they paused halfway through CC's stage. I was confused too.
The couch never saw different colors, they were confused when they said there is a tech error

High quality post and it's about time we finally got some good GDQ in here!
This is easily one of the best Megaman X games out there
@@Megaman.ExE7 I agree, it's highly underrated. I think it's the best of the first 3
What the heck is going on with the palette?! o_o
Also happy to see X3 back at a GDQ! Way to go! Looks like I have some new speedrunners to follow!
35:30 man that section was the run's highlight! Flawlessly done :D

Great run of my favorite MMX game!
Sick run. The vertical movement is always a trick to see.

X’s face when palette errors be like having bad food poisoning 😰

11:02 why did the colors just shift?
something happened to the capture, not the game itself
Badass! Amazing run.
GOD KARMACHINE O INARY
Great run! Unfortunately, the microphones seem to be picking up a ton of background chatter, which isn't usually the case with GDQ.
Why does the color shift at 11:00?
Oh, they fix it at 20:50
ZEWING MY GOAT
good run, gg
Z-saber doin' work on those bosses. Why can't Zero just kill all the mavericks himself?
Any reason why the colors changed a lot?
Twas kinda strange.
The capture card for the broadcast glitched out. Nothing changed for anyone watching in person, which is why it took so long for them to notice.
At first I thought they purposely change the color for the viewes for some reason.
GG 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Those content warnings need to be spread out better 😅

Why is Megaman's color weird?
Edit: got my answer a few minutes later 😂😂😂
35:30 CLAP CLAP CLAP!!!!!
Is this the snes version?
They do state that they're using the original Japanese SNES cartridge.
Are you in a colleges playing this
A hotel
Me>^..^
I loved this series till it started all the gimmicks and bad story X5 and beyond. Great run of a classic though with a nice couch!
I could do it better.
