They won't succeed. The Congress will remain a two - party Congress after all. A Dem. or Rep. @Johan Retsler Wrong. Perot was not a spoiler. Four months before the 1992 election, George H.W. Bush had a job approval of 29 percent, and he trailed Clinton in every single poll, even during the two and a half months that Perot withdrew. In most polls, Bush's deficit against Clinton was double digits. The idea that a president with those poll numbers would have won reelection but didn't because of a third party candidate is so utterly laughable that it doesn't even deserve to be mentioned in serious conversation.
@The Life Analyst You're absolutely right. Both NBC and Roper's exit polls from 1988 showed a majority of Reagan Democrats voting for Dukakis, so it should come as no surprise that the became Clinton Democrats in 1992 and Obama Democrats in 2008. In 2016 they were Trump Democrats. Of course, there were never that many Reagan Democrats to begin with; many of the places that are cited as "Reagan Democrat" strongholds only voted for him once, if at all.

A sad moment from an even sadder day in American history. The last president of the Greatest Generation, who had spent a lifetime fighting for his country, was defeated by the first president of the Worst Generation, who have been bringing their selfishness and "me first" mentality to the federal government ever since.
