A harsh place. Filled with MICROTRANSACTIONS. SMH
Ah just like Dragons Dogma, but 2 😂
Lost my progress due to terrible save system. Luckily a steam refund was forthcoming. I'll wait some fixes and a sale before rebuying.
Like why not just keep it simple ???
$$$. cant wait for the new save file dlc only 4.99
@@Someguy1aThis is Not EA company
@@alexmercer8852 Capcom is no better
Just did beggar quest. You can get stuck in his house and if it can autosave. You will be forced to reload inn which could be hours of play if you were roaming.
Single save is dumb. Shouldve learned from skyrim mods why a single save is bad and never worth it.
this is literally shangri-la frontier
Charging 2.99 to change your character/ and not adding it in review copy’s so nobody knew is some horrible crap
"But I'll take that price any day of the week over having to start the entire game again because of a bug or a brutal combat encounter that proves inescapable."
Guess it's even more important to rest at an inn considering you can't just start over, lol.
Nothing can stop me, even the one slot save
4:08 that random cat fight 🤣🤣🤣
They were fighting since 3:23

Yeah, why let players play how they like and have fun? Hell no, they're gonna suffer as we intend it to! ONE SAVE FILE! 😅
The game glitched and wiped hours, and hours of gameplay sent me back to level 2. Never playing the game again.
PC players, we are safe.
Disable cloud save sync on steam, and manually move your saves around.
This way you can have unlimited save files with different characters and progressions.
Lost 3 hrs of gameplay ytd becos of the damn autosave… Remember to spend the money and save at the inn.
Only 1 save is just plain obnoxious and disrespectful to your customers.
Save your money 😂
This video could be 10 seconds long.
You can tell a lot of people never played part 1
Does a private house consider a inn save?
Saw a post from reddit saying yes they did. Someone did a test run on it.
How many games needs instruction on how to save?
3:21
This 100% should be a save point.
It’s in line with the game.
At the very least this should be updated to act as a “inn save”
If stuck with a nonsense autosave just use a mod to beat it. Also manually backup your save from time to time. It takes 5 seconds on PC.
No target lock is the craziest thing to me
Note : Anytime in game you can go to system menu and do "Save and Continue"
This way you will be sure the game continues from that place in case you die one of many deaths that await you 😄
After doing a save and quit to the title screen, then quit the game entirely, I go into the save Folder and copy it. I then create a folder on my Desktop called DD2 saves.
Next, inside that folder I created another folder and label it (DD2 Name of Quest and date), then copy my save into that folder.
Then Just rinse and repeat after each time I play and quit.🤔
It’s really not that quirky. Just manual save before and after every encounter and when you reach a destination after a journey.
3 hrs in and so far the combat is EXTREMELY JANKY hope it gets better combat felt way better in the first game
That’s literally the exact opposite statement of every single RUclipsr and gaming article I’ve read lolol
Really, gamers these days need that kind of guides?
No savescumming = unplayable
That game not for you guys then
So it looks graphicly bad, is money hungry, and is purposefully time consuming? Why where people so hyped about this game?
It is graphically bad and time consuming but the “money hungry” is just the headline for content creators. No one will buy their microtransactions.
How does this look bad?
@@bullet_dude4166 Seriously? It's hardly AAA quality for 2024
Bring it on. Im a dd1 vet. Lets do this dd2.
Separating the men from the boys
iv been pressing start button on ps5 and selecting system and then save.
Wait a minute - how are you supposed to counter terrible autosave timing?
Won't it just overwrite your manual save?
He literally explains in the video. auto save overwrites manual saves, but inn saves are always separate.
@@Manoahmanolosounds confusing
@@Manoahmanolo Yes, but his situation in the video of getting stuck out of bounds is still a big issue. His inn save is separate but could be hours of gameplay ago. I'll never waste money on a game that wastes my time.
could you not kill your self by jumping down and then use a lazarus stone? Or do they only work in battle?
okay so this is an old-like save system but with only one slot... We just have to save often manually to avoid that until a patch fix it
ok, so disable auto upload, save, upload to cloud storage, return to game; just like in Elden Ring, got it
It feels like a gameplay decision
They must make teleport free
The developers have made some really bad decisions when it comes to QOL... especially when it comes to these scummy microtransactions to make a new character
You can easily farm 500RC in game to edit your character from an npc
lol 12 years and this is the best they could come up with?
The legend of zelda, on the NES has multiple character slots, let that sink it for a moment
Why does this need a 5 minute video
wtf you cant start new game again?!?!?
Nope, you're only allowed to play the game once.
@@canadianbeef1958 no, when you beat the game you can enter NG+ and start over (and there are reasons to do so ingame) but they also addressed that they are adding a restart game option to Steam in the future. This is just a very weird oversight in their launch, and will hopefully be added sooner rather than later for PC players
You can, if you delete the game files. For example, for PS5 you will need to delete the save games files in Storage.
@@darkhorse86 didnt try but read somewhere that save file is stored in cloud
Well if You know where save is stored on PC you can create a script to do backup each hour or any timeframe.
