  • LNER's new Azuma units entered the day before I filmed this video, so there wasn't a lot of the press at Leeds to see the new trains. I forgot Northern operates Class 170/4 units cascaded from ScotRail.

    I may or may not have seen Jeremy Corbyn on the concourse before he got on an IC225 set to Kings Cross.

    Oh! In India, the Bullet train will be launche by the year 2022. But will the standard and quality be same as this Azuma? I am wondering.

      From my minimal research, the trains used on the Indian line will be the same ones used in Japan.

    Do they get repainted at eastliegh works or Japan ?

      I think they get painted before they leave the factory at Newton Aycliffe.

      oh yeah, Newton Aycliffe is the final assembly location. I think the first few Hitachi units were built in Japan.

    So it wont be too long before the class 800`s replace the HST`s on the east coast line then just like GWR?

      Think the first route to become full Azuma is KGX to LDS.

      The 90s will be replaced first then HSTs and then 91s

      LNWR wants to run trains from EUS to BPN and Alliance Rail wants to run trains from PAD to CDF.

    Wait, At the Start why was there a GWR Class 153 (155)

    • @adamhaigh9947
      @adamhaigh9947  5 лет назад

      Most GWR 153s have been transferred to Northern after cascading of other GWR units in the west.

    The Azuma still looks a bag of crap

      They do have better acceleration, greener engines and more capacity than the HSTs and 91s.

      Is that because it's designed by the Japanese and you want our trains to be British?
      They were built in Hitachi's UK factory, if that helps.
