Ghanaian Sister is deep! Please hug her for me! She needs not carry that burden. We sold into slavery hold no grudges, thats why we are returning. We are returning with knowledge to ADD to Africa. We have intimate knowledge of the West and its pitfalls. I have been to Ghana 2x and absolutely LOVE Ghana and Ghanaians. I have been made to feel welcome in Ghana.

Same as a Somali person. The rapid adoption of a conservative interpretation post civil war has been jarring especially as a woman. The AlShab. group has harmed so many. Their 2009 target of a medical school graduation in Mogadishu was especially devastating. There goes future doctors and their professors. Some of these mothers and fathers worked in the scorching heat to pay for their schooling. People in the West did harsh jobs to send money back home. We needed doctors there so badly. Worst of all, these groups are funded by the same oil rich people that are protected.

Oh Tim Tim Tim, Charley, u have done it again!! 😢😢😢 U made me cry, and still yelling at my screen, becos it felt like My "wear Ghana" younger sister, was taking all my words out of my brain. I've been trying to say her same words to the youth of Ghana forever, but the brainwash is so deep, and it frustrates me that, they don't really think or understand what I'm saying to them, to help them understand their futures and privilege!

It must begin with the social studies curriculum. It should be inclusive of pre-colonial, colonial and post colonial history. This should be taught from primary school across Africa.

    • @josephineamawiafe9428
      @josephineamawiafe9428 Год назад +6

Colonial history cannot be out of our curriculum! The reason why we are where we are today as a continent is because of colonialism! We have not as a people been able to take the time and evaluate the effects of that history! Why it happened, what the effects were and how it is still affecting our lives daily! And I mean daily! Till today! Africans are not interested in geopolitical affairs! How much the west still controls our affairs to their advantage! So colonial history is important to us! We cannot on a single day dismiss what our forefathers endured and the aftermath been played out daily through puppet leaders!

It's beautiful that we are having this dialog. It's a sign that we have entered a new season. 9/10th (if not 10/10th) of the planet as we know it, has been colonized. For this to have happened the process of colonizing the mind and affecting our spirit, co-opting the land and resources has thrown all of us off balance. So in this season of awakening, the dichotomy of say the descendants of African's in America for centuries under the colonizers and our present day Africans on the continent under the colonizers will naturally have conflict, disparities that needs to go through the process of uncolonizing the mind, spirit and just as importantly the land. All entities are connected, one. In my opinion we must be in the mindset and spirit of being patient with one another. The colonizer were successful in their mission in part because they had patience. It was over generation and generation they achieved this feat. Let's stay uplifted family Knowing that we will come back into balance and Harmony. The nature of all things, of love and good and strength are who we are and on our side. This is the nature in which the planet and the universe is created. All Thanks and Praises are due to The Most High.

Tim this video is so touching. I’m one of your biggest fan by the way as I’m young like you, educated, black and powerful, but most importantly black excellence. What I have to say is that I am an Asante, I was born in Ghana and left African shores when I was 8 years old to live in the UK with my whole family. I’m now a qualified lawyer, now 40 years old, I’ve not forgotten my African self. I’ve invested back home as much as I can. I did my DNA 🧬 and realised that I’m only 50% Ghanaian, I’m literally West Africa from Mali, Ivory Coast, Togo, Benin, Nigeria. Most importantly, I have traced my ancestors to the Americas and I have cousins as close as 5th-8th cousins who are African Americans and Carribean people whom obviously do not know me and probably never will. We are the same people, so we should just love ourselves.

I so agree with the Ghanaian pastor regarding the definition of success. Success is not material things. Peace is success, a sound mind is success, having love is success. Having money or material things is NOT success. We as black people around the globe need to understand what is really true success and stop competing and comparing with one another. In the US some of the most miserable, spiritually and emotionally bankrupt people are society’s definition of success.

Watch videos, read books, seek knowledge, ask questions, be curious and learn. Don’t be satisfied with what you know now always learn more. Be open minded. Learn about all the different tribes within Africa and not just your own tribe. Learn about Black history. Learn another language. Learning is never ending.

The Bond of 1844 was when the Fante chiefs went into a Protectorate with the British. That was the official start of colonialism in Ghana. It was signed on August 4th.

This was a worthwhile watch. I liked your panel. Sometimes I think that African people can be too grounded in a romantic past. Africans may have some common affinity but often there persists tribal divisions and a greed for what the West (or East) offers. I did not hear any talk of deliberate outreach for trade with the diaspora. Making it less costly for example. Tim, you should consider a Zoom sign-up meeting with the diaspora. In order to facilitate discussion, you may have to limit attendance and set some ground rules...

My thoughts exactly. We really need to start turning things around seriously. The damage needs to be undone in any little progressive way that we can, together!!

They will have to be very selective on who they allow to speak and respectfully decline others if they insist. Some people just spoil or muddy conversations. We need clear conversations

African continent belongs to Africans including African descents and to all those like Africa and Africans.
Each one of them can contribute to the development of Africa.
A few hours ago, we heard about the inauguration of a metro line in Lagos, Nigeria, Chinese are the ones who have contributed to this achievement.

Tim. I loved this. First, where are you? Is this library bookstore accessible to the public? 2. I shared this with 3. people before I finished this and thinking about sharing this with some more. 4. This opens the door not only on who we are as a group but also on introspection of our individual self. How messed up we are with are thinking. Why can't we seem to get on board and fix something s for ourselves? I'm speaking in terms of small things? And stick to it? This was excellent. I hope to see more of this. Nit just talk but action. Just thought of four more people to send this to. We are human beings. ♥️

My favourite saying after more of these frustrating convos, "We are human beings, for God's sake! When are we ever going to start behaving like one!" We desperately and seriously NEED to start helping ourselves, take care of ourselves, looking after ourselves, one little thought executed at a time! At least we know what was done, what has been done, what continues to be done, therefore, what not to do, and what to do, so what and who are we waiting for?! Goodness help us!

To be an african means trinity or having 3 layers.
A black people have (black skin, brown skin and white skin)
That means a black capable of black, white and brown.
Been an african means you born superior of all the race.
Been african is the root and without a root, no other race will survive.
    Know who you are.
African is a creator and a lion.

You touched so much on tying Africans to The Bible, in this part one, next time… can you touch on Traditional African Religions, and tie Africans back to those, on part two?
