I was a member of two predominantly white churches. I went to Bible studies, volunteered, worked, served every way I could, sharing my testimony, caring for everyone. My son and I both experienced racism. Looking back I felt so unwelcomed. It was hard because I expected them to love like Jesus. To release how I felt I wrote a paper about it in college where I shared my experience and talked about what the church should look like and what Heaven will truly look like, and I received an A from a non Christian teacher at a non Christian school. I am an Alumni of a Christian University. Apologetics was my favorite class. What I found in my attendance at a Christian school at a predominantly white university was that there was a lot of worldly views and less Biblical views. I had to speak God’s word and stand strong among those who claimed to be Christians.

@Jas58271 The biblical world view provides the idea of supremacy of one set of people over others, that they can enter other people's lands and genocide them, and steal the land, that they can take any virgin that they want, after slaughtering all that she loves family etc., and destroying her home. God's chosen also are encouraged to enslave and subjugate all of the nearby nations close to the lands that they were to occupy, if those other nations offered God's chosen terms of peace, but if they wished to keep their sovereignty, slaughter and genocide them as well. Then the Bible specifically curses a whole race of people because a son saw and ridiculed his naked drunken father, Lot. The Bible tells israel to release their male slaves only after 7 years, but enslave foreigners dwelling among them, and from neighbouring nations, and they were perpetual slaves to be passed from one generation to the next. I could go on, but I won't. Where have you come across a more accurate manifesto for the colonisers, slave making nations, and racial supremacist of the world? Hasn't the church been faithful to scripture in its role in promoting slavery, colonialism, racism, and terror in the world? So how could you miss all of that. Even the story of Joseph showed how all Egyptians had land, and by the end of Joseph's tenure as Prime Minister or Treasurer of Egypt, the Israelites owned the best lands, and the Egyptians were renting land from the King, administered by Joseph. The Bible was very comprehensive in its instruction, and those lessons were learnt and implemented throughout Christendom. Africa, the America, Australia, wherever there were people of color, the curse of Ham was used to justify genocide and land theft, with church and state working hand in hand. The doctrine of discovery also enriched the Bible's message. According to that papal bull, 1452 maybe, the whites had the right to invade the lands of non-white people and claim them as their own, killing all who got in the way of the righteous sons of Japeth. This was followed by Columbus "discovering" the new world, and the genocides that followed, which also expande to Africa and other continents.

YES! Christianity is a whitemans religion. Recently, since the discoveries in Egypt, they started to imply that the people of the Bible are "BLACK". Once you trace Jesus back to Serapis, it becomes clear. The Old Testament is filled with Lombard Legend that was written BEFORE the bible was printed by Paule the Deacon. Lastly, it says the Blackfolks are cursed and they still operate from that premise!

When discussing this topic, we must look at the origin of "Christianity " and its relationship with black people from a historical perspective. The councels of bishops, predominantly white men under "Roman" rule that decided what words would be the word of God, would give any logical thinking person a clear understanding that Christianity in its modern state of existence is the white man's religion.

That’s false tho, Christianity and the Bible was many in parts of Africa and Asian way before the the KJV ever came to be. The Ethiopian Bible is 800 years older than the KJV.
Not only that, Christianity was spread by former Jews who radically changed and accepted what we now call Christianity after experiencing the risen Jesus. So that’s highly inaccurate to say it’s a white man religion.

It's really sad to hear this about how religion is used to suppress another race. God created each of us in His image. Jesus was Middle Eastern so really hate seeing and hearing Jesus was white...He wasn't. I've lived in the Middle East, i know. Islam is used as the reason its ok to still have slaves in countries like Mauritania. Look at how domestic workers are treated in the Middle East. Even in Kenya, some Kenyans treat their domestic workers atrociously. I'm so glad I was brought up believing in the Sabbath and that everyone is equal and have stayed that way into my 50s. As you say the Roman's have a lot to do with the Vanilla colored Jesus and this sadly was made more prevalent by the Catholic church in their paintings and icons

I am so in awe of black people. I will list our attributes. We were not given a chance of education. We were not given a level playing field or opportunities. We have been enslaved de-humanised but we have over and over shown our strength and inguinety by our sweet nature of forgiveness our ability to excel in all that is thrown at us. We are ever proving to all that we are so damn special and no wonder we are feared. Let's say we were not so persecuted and had all the same chances. What world would this be, huh. Our strength is remarkable. I sometimes feel we are not even recognizing how great a race the black race is to the point where we had to be suppressed for others to even stand a chance. I am so proud of us. Religion is damaging and is responsible for so many atrocities.

And there are many belief systems having their own concept of what and who God is. I don't know. and I don't believe any living person knows. What I do know is that people feed people. I also came to understand that before Babel everyone was together and defined by their town of birth. Using prayer in study and common sense I also found that this also was a frequent way people were defined in the New Testament. I guess people don't accept that we should not bow down nor worship idols. My race is human and my ethnicity is of African descent. And I believed that the children of Ham are the Palestinians. And to be a true Christian only one thing is required and that is to follow the teachings of Christ!

There are areas in Africa, especially South of the Equator where it was introduced through colonisation. If you read Southern African history, Henry Morton Stanely and David Livingstones accounts, they and many other explorers and missionaries were sent to not only explore but establish a way to break through the rainforest in order to colonise. And one of the methods was to set up set up schools, churches mainly teaching Christian education. And many conditions placed on chiefs in exchange for goods and services was to accept Christ first and have churches set up in their societies.
You can acknowledge that Christianity was in Ethiopia but that's not the same history as other African countries.

One thing that I have come to learn is that what we have been taught in America is not aligned with human history. The fact that there are faiths older than Christianity plus the fact that our planet is boasting 8 billion people approximately (living), perspective becomes more important. I’m afraid that if you’re only source of truth is the book that your oppressors placed in your path, then their plan is continuing to be successful. I agree with Lisa in her analogy of “counterfeit”. The best tip to help all people in their sojourn is to travel back (re-connect) or to support those elders who are traveling to the mother land, researching, and living truth. The word christianity is not their claims, just as it was not a claim of Jesus.

Hey sister I hope you are well. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I would like to challenge your belief that the world is 8 billion years old. There is no such evidence for this. The claim that there are religions older then Christianity is inaccurate also. Christianity is just a name for people who follow the Messiah who was prophised to come to lead people back to the worship of the one true God. Originally man worshipped one God then over time men began to worship the spirits of their dead ancestors believing they could not approach God directly. This is a direct result of the fall of man as the bible teaches. This led to all the religions that we have today and that is why in every religion you have some kind of concept of the supreme God. I am of Yoruba descent and it is there in the yoruba traditional religion. Truly white supremacy did serious damage to our ancestors. Though Yoruba I am a descendant of an African America called Churchill Vaughan who fled southern Carolina in the 1800s and first arrived in Liberia before moving to Lagos where he eventually settled. I feel the pain of many African Americans and as Black British person I can relate some what. However let us not throw the baby out with the bathwater. The problem is not the bible or Christianity. The problem is how white supremacy falsely represented Christianity. The word of God itself condemns any such belief in white supremacy or any other concept of supremacy even among Jews. In fact many heros in the bible were from Africa including Obed Melech, who saved Jeremiah's life and the Ethiopian eunuch of acts 8. There is no hope in any other way except Jesus. Our ancestors were deceived to have been worshipping idols in who there is no hope. There is only hope in the living God alone who came to earth to save humanity in His incarnation as Yeshua Hamashiach. None of our ancestors' gods did such a thing. Rather, they oppressed them and forced them to do fetish things (including the sacrificing of young virgins and killing of twins that were seen as a bad omen). By the way the guys who claim the world is billions years old do so because many of them are secular humanist who have no belief in God and claim we are just material beings and that there are no spirits or souls. They have made up these strange claims about the age of the earth to justify the lie that we evolved from animals after a big bang that happened by accident. They have a skewed world view which has led to a lot of confusion in our day with people now even questioning if there is such a thing as gender. May the Lord help us and open our eyes and I say this with all due respect.

I just want to clarify that when I talk about discovering the Jewishness of Christianity I do not mean becoming Jewish. What I mean is understanding that Christainity did not begin in Europe and therefore has nothing to do with white supremacy. The cultural context of the bible is Jewish Middle Eastern. What then happens is the message and practise needs to be contextualised to which ever culture you belong to in a way that does not alter or distort the message in any way. E.g. in Nigeria music, praying and preaching are all done in a way that is uniquely Nigerian in many instances. Often even with indigenous languages and colloquialisms.

It's interesting how its stated that white supremacy started since Constantine in the Roman Empire. The Romans didn't see themselves as necessarily white or European, but Roman. There were many ethnicities in the Roman Empire stretching from dark skin to light skin. The Romans viewed people in Northern Europe as an other who were barbarians. I think Christianity became more European as Islam took over the Middle East and North Africa. A lot of Christianity was eliminated in North Africa and the Middle East thus, except for a few other places, making Europe the bastion of Christianity.

    • @thedude9941

The concept of a white race didn't even exist in the time of Constantine, not to mention the common mistake that Constantine made Christianity the official religion of the Roman empire. And yes the Roman empire was multi-ethnic, by the 3rd century AD all territories of the empire were considered Romans.
It's also correct that as Islam started gaining greater influence in Africa, and the middle east and parts of Asia Christianity did become isolated in Europe. Everywhere outside of Europe by the 13th century AD Christianity was present but always a minority (with the exception of Ethiopia) this was of course until the colonial era which has made Africa the center of Christianity in the modern day.

The problem is that so many different religious sects has been packaged as true Christianity, but it's really false doctrines(heretics ). Catholicism was practice in white nations, which believed the letter and practice a lot of pegan behaviors. The "pilgrim " left England to practice Christianity in the "new World". They were ignorant to the spiritual side of Christianity, that's why they developed their own rules and understanding when trying to practice Christianity. The proof is in the brutality that was implemented at their hands. Ignorance breeds hate and hate is manifest through brutality. They liked to barrow from other cultures including religions. We going after that 1 not the 99, they already here they have a foundation to grow from.

@@whatshatnin4572Not saying I agree with Christianity being the “white mans religion” but the reason people call it that is because of the role that European Roman Catholics (the Portuguese and French) and White Protestants (White Americans) played in the colonization of Africa. And the buying/selling and trading of African people. During the trans-Atlantic slave trade, the Catholic Church was associated with French and Portuguese rule, and the various Protestant Churches were associated with the British Empire.

      1) VATICAN I is CONSTANTINIAN ROMAN CATHOLICISM which came out of MITHRAISM that was called the SYNAGOGUE of SATAN because they practiced HUMAN, CHILD "sacrificial" SON-WORSHIP-Ezek 8:14-17. >>Romanism CREATED its own sects of ISLAM like MYSTIC SUFISM
      2) VATICAN II is Esau is Edomite-Herodian religion is Charismatic Catholicism which is typified as "JEZEBEL" who TAUGHT the APOSTOLIC CHURCH Spiritual fornication and the Synagogue of Satan's doctrine of crucifixion Christology NICOLAITAN doctrine of SALVATION by "sacrificial" SON-WOSHIP which came from the MITHRAIC SYNAGOGUE of SATAN. They went on to CREATE,
      >> ISLAM and
      >>the COUNTER REFORMATION Prosperity gospel EVANGELICAL PROTESTANTISM like CRYSTAL(ball) CATHEDRAL of Katherine Kuhn, Bill Hyball, Kenneth Copeland, and Benny Hill
      3) ORTHODOX and COPTIC CHURCH is APOSTATE APOSTOLIC CHURCH version of Christianity which CREATED,
      >>MAINSTREAM PROTESTANTISM like the ANGLICAN, PRESBYTERIAN, METHODIST and the BAPTIST church
      4) There was NO CLASSISM in BANTU ITURI so-called "Africa" by ROmans, and there was NO COLOURISM untill the COLONIAL RAPES began to produce LIGHT SKIN children who were given ARAB and ROMAN privileges of the colonizers making LIGHT SKIN a colour of PRIOVILEGE. However, even today, there is NO PRIORITIZATION of LIGHT SKIN in BANTU ITURI except in relation to COLONIAL DISCOURSES.
      >>The rural BANTU has NO NOTION of LGHT SKIN as BETTER, because for BANTU people LIGHT SKIN was associated with the COLONIZERS children and therefore as children of INFIDELITY who gave birth to ALBINO children whom EVERY BANTU FEARED to have.BANTU ITURI was always A NUMERICALLY SINGULAR MONOTHEISTIC belief system NO DIFFERENT from the HEBREW conception of a SINGULAR DEITY who is the CREATOR-just like Deut 6:4; Exod 3:14; Isaiah 44:8, Isaiah 44:24; Prov 8:22-30ff; Rev 17 The BAntu THEN and NOW did not and DO NOT believe in the SEPARATION of BODY and SOUL, the person LIVED as a WHOLE BEING whose BREATH was from the CREATOR and when that BREATHE EXPIRED it did so as GAS runs out of a TANK< leading to DEATH. Therefore the DEAD was considered like AN EMPTY GAS TANK, without BREATH hence DEAD, and NO PART of it was CONSCIOUS in ANY SENSE. However the BANTU believed in the RESURRECTION "IRIÚKO" of the WHOLE PERSON like a GAS TANK refilled with GAS!
      5) Supposed "African spirituality" is a product of ARAB and INDIAN TRADER cultures which believed in the SEPARATION of the BODY and SOUL giving rise to theri belief in GHOSTS, which they then WORSHIPED as "acncestral spirits" These "ancestral demon spirits" were taught to BANTU people of coastal and SAHEL(Sahara)regions who traded with the Indo-Arabs, that is why they RETAINED the ARABIC terms like MAJINI(in the WATER(maji); MAMI(mother)-WATA(water); VODOO which is a corruption of the original meaning of COMMEMORATION of the TRULY DEAD forefathers, but NOT as GHOSTS or SPIRITS but in the same way as HEBREWS remember theri FOREFATHERS)-ORISHAS are HINDU demons which were given a NIGERIAN ACCENTED pronunciation. These were accepted originally by DARKSKIN MIXED race children of INDO-ARAB children with BANTU peoples as their FATHERS or MOTHERS religions just like MAJINI and MAMI WATER were INDO-ARAB demon JINIS...and NOT BANTU ancestors by any definition, thats why the names are INDO-ARAB.
      The DAYS of the WEEK are all heathen NAMES;

      >>the day of WED/DINGS day
      >>the god THOR'S day
      >>the god FRIGIUS day
      >>the planet SATURNS day
BANTU days of the WEEK are
      >>wa BERE -DAY 1----------counting: ÍMúe
      >>wa KEERÍ-DAY2 ----------counting:Igírí
      >>wa GATATÚ=DAY 3----------counting:Ithatú
      >>wa KAANA=day 4----------counting:Inya
      >>wa GATANO=day 5----------counting:Ithano
      >>wa GATADATÚ=day 6----------counting:Ithathatú
      >>wa MÚGÚAJA=SABBATH----------counting:Múgúa ja
      >>wa KANAANA----------counting:Inyanya
      >>wa KEEDA----------counting:Keeda
      >>wa IKÚMI----------counting:Ikúmi
NOTE: MÚGÚJA as the SABBATH was distinguished from the other terms
all of which begin with "I or Í(ae)"because it is a SPECIAL INJUCTION to KEEP THE LAW of the MOST HIGH on that PARTICULAR SEVENTH DAY, along with KEEDA which is an INJUCTION to PROCREATE, within NINE(Keeda) MONTHS thereby ENSHRINING the FIRST TWO COMMANDS in GENESIS 1 and 2 to PROCREATE and KEEP THE SABBATH.
Múfgúaja the sense of SHABAH7650-strongs concordance-a day which when the community was REMINDED to KEEP ALL THE LAWS of the MOST HIGH, lest one should FALL OUT OF THE LAW by neglecting the VOWS of the MOST HIGH, therefore a MEMORIAL DAY for the LAWS of the MOST HIGH thru REST. In BANTU culture if one BROKE PARENTAL, FAMILY of TRIBAL LAW it was said that person FELL OUTSIDE the house of the ONE who gave the command NOT TO do something or other, AND DIED, hence Múgúja is related to DEATH because of the CURSE Of DISOBEDIENCE

@nickjones1314 No, in 1054, the Church split, west from the east. This is called the Great Schism. The Roman Catholic Church (Western - Latin speaking - Christianity) and Orthodox Christianity (Eastern/Byzantine - Greek speaking - Christianity). The Roman Catholic Christianity later split again in 1517 in Reformation. However, Orthodox Christianity has had a different historical trajectory and experienced oppression.
So, Eastern Orthodox Christianity is not a product of Roman Catholic missionaries.
