Did the brother actually ask "are we racist for dating within our own race?" This goes to show that many people doesn't know what racism actually means
King here is what he meant, but he worded the question wrong. Some/most people have asked "Am I a racist if I prefer or choose to date within my race, but not outside my race"? Some people will say that it is racist and some people will say that it is not racist.

Because Dr umar is a fraud. He promotes not dating out but he likes white women too. He's been collecting funding for a school he's never gonna build. He's a capper. He blames black men for the problems black women and Feminism created
Man, it's crazy that Dr. Umar spent over an half an hour trying to drill in individualism vs. community, and they still couldn't get it. They just kept going back to themselves. How conceited can you be? As a man who may not check up all boxes of what he deeds being for our community, I totally agree with him. Black men need to stop worrying about what blame black women has and focus on what we can improve upon ourselves starting with our young men.
I understand the notion of community. But if everyone did their own individual part, then the community would fall in line. Our problem is that we focus too much on the community and not individual achievement.
@@ericwatkins4581 That's not true. Look at all the successful people that we know about that does right by them and their family but sell the rest of the community out. We have tons of black successful Republicans (not conversative leaning so we don't confuse the two) who work to sell lies about how American treats black systematically. We have black successful democrats who suckers us into fighting for everyone but ourselves. Look at Jay Z who lead us to vote for people like Hillary Clinton or got us to fall back against the NFL. And this is all while being paid by these groups. And this happens to us on all levels and on all sides. Black people scattered all over the place over what they "believe" which is why we have no political power. This is what happens when you focus on too much as an individual and none as an community. As a community, less people gets left behind and ends up being a pookie and rayray to be a poison to the community. As an individualism, you care less about them and leave them to be a detriment to our kids and grandkid's future which is part of the american system.
@ericwatkins4581 and what if people never do their part? Do you just wash your hands of the bc and walk away? He's saying people are just sitting around talking about this person and that person- that won't change ANYTHING. We need the leaders in the community to stand up and take action. @@troydilworth8789 Beloved, it's crucial to understand the welfare system and child support within the larger context of the system that has been created. These systems you mentioned trace back to slavery, Jim Crow laws, and mass incarceration, all aimed at dismantling the power of black families and communities. To suggest that this is solely about individual choice overlooks the institutionalized nature of this system and how it has been ingrained in our Americanized culture. I understand where you're coming from, and I respect your perspective that individual choice does play a part. That being said, it's worth noting the contradiction in the arguments made by the person in question. They mention "pookie and ray ray" but lack the consciousness of attracting "BoQuisha and sha sha." It's important for both men and women to reflect on their own reasons for choosing these mates and address any underlying biases or beliefs that may be influencing their choices. As Umar was saying, we need to zoom out and focus on the bigger picture - the system that forces both men and women into certain choices. It's like the Adam and Eve story, where they turned against each other instead of addressing the real issue. This sneaky snake of a system destroys our sense of self and blocks our ability to truly see and understand each other. And let's not forget, it strips us of our power. So, while individual choices do matter, we can't overlook the destructive force of this system that have forced us into choices out of survival and out of response to our emotional, historical, and collective trauma. We have to dismantle these Jim Crow laws that turn us against each other and come together!
@@karajames6216 ... Right on. Both men and women must admit and confess to our faults. PERIOD. Dr. Umar cannot campaign for MEN to be held accountable alone. Ive never been so frustrated with an interviewer. Never the bigger picture in what the Dr was trying to shove down his throat. Good job Dr Umar. We understood even if they didnt.
He eventually came around but that's how strong the programming is and that is just a glimpse of what we're up against. Which is why his school is so important -> Easier to build strong men than repair broken ones
I mostly look at dr. Umar Johnson as the Broken Clock. He's right about twice a day. There are plenty of things that I can say that I don't agree with but I definitely agree with him on the point that he was making about systemic issues that have destroyed black boys and black men are not taking accountability for them. On top of that, black men want to blame black women for ending up with black men who are not healed when black men have not taken an overall role in making sure that Pookie and Ray-Ray do not exist in the first place. I will not discount white supremacy because it played a huge role in the decimation of our communities, but I have a huge problem with any black man who wants to continually blame black women for the issues that we face as a community and they not take accountability. Like dr. Umar Johnson said, if two-thirds of women are raising children by themselves, how do you black man not see a larger problem? Why does it always have to end up with it's her choice? It's like if you sit down at a restaurant and they hand you a menu and the only thing they serve are hamburgers, the only thing you're going to eat is a hamburger. With that analogy, if the majority of black men that black women are presented with are not healed black men, how do you expect black women to be with a black man on a larger scale who is healed and whole and able to provide for family? I believe that black women need to do better but I damn sure will not allow white supremacist talking points from black men to continually black Gaslight black women in believing that every issue in her life is her fault. This is what the manosphere does all day long and it needs to stop.
What’s crazy is MOST Black interviewers do the same thing🤦🏽♂️It’s annoying AF and almost seems 🤔”Systematic” plus that’s that up north black dude mentality, it’s sickening
These young men have no clue...Dr. Umar is so on point. They are literally blocking out where this man is coming from which is the problem now accountability
Umar Johnson is a virtue signaling hypocrite. He's got 2 kids with 2 baby mamas and doesn't even live by his own standards. Black men aren't the ones who broke up the households that was black women. Black women wanted to be like white women and show they didn't need and man and now fast forward 50 years later black women are blaming black men for their own idiotic decision. See what black women like to do is gaslight everybody into believing their victims even when they're the main facilitator of their own downfall.
I don’t agree with a lot that Dr umar says but I do agree with what he was saying about why women are that way they are. I don’t agree all is systemic though. Many black men left a poorer woman with his kids and went to another who was able to take care of him. He cares nothing about the kids or gave her money for nothing. She had to go welfare to get food. The one guy with the braids hates black women. I do not see it in the cards that he will select one do we might as well give him his walking papers. He is trying to blame them for him not finding a “feminine” woman and we all out here killing ourselves to raise these hardheaded black boys alone. He is so self centered it is irritating. He is not even listening. Still saying the same ish!!
First of all I love this interview. The amount of views that it has received in comparison to the views on your content about men versus women has proved that people are ready for solutions. It's time to continue to have the conversations about how we come together and fix the problems instead of the blame game.
A big part of Dr Umar’s solutions are service based. In order for people to take the actions he suggests, the willingness to serve and be apart of a community has to increase. Fire interview🔥
Yessss, I use to yell this all the time. The focus should be on our children not how many children a single mother has. The children will soon be the leaders of the future!
Umar simped for women because his main audience is women. Women choose who gets to be a father. They decide the caliber of man they lie with..and raise. They are the first nurturers and teachers. If you choose..and raise a man of low caliber..those will be the choices they have when it comes to men, later.
I think we should bring more attention to the trials and obstacles Dr.Umar had to overcome just to build an independent black school. He mentioned how he literally had to FIGHT for black workers to help him build his school and that just sheds light on a whole other problem that I didn’t even know existed. The revolution starts within our community we NEED each other.
Did you see them all looking to each other for support 😂 None of them likely had a father and that’s why they can’t understand what Umar is saying. Bc they made it and no one helped them. That’s a bad point of view.

Regardless, despite Dr. Umar trying to get him to look at the overall picture, he was set on “revealing” this negative portrayal of black women, to which he described “is masculine with multiple kids”.. so all black women are masculine with multiple children?? Why would you even portray us in that way, but when someone say something regarding the negative characteristics of black men.. they quick to say “NOT ALL MEN” or “NOT ME, I worked hard to get where I’m at.” So… you think most BW do not work hard to become something and beat stereotypes.. while .. you know.. on top of balancing being the MAN AND WOMEN in a fatherless household? & Black men wonder why so many of our women embody the masculine role.. like do you even recognize how your own actions contribute to why some of our mothers and grandmothers had to be the men in our life as well? Judging a women for having multiple children, yet not criticizing the men who are impregnating her .. the ones who are not supporting her.. the ones who rather be in the street.. rather than building their community. This individualistic mindset is something that plagues us and something we struggle with. Our mentality is under such hypnotic suggestion, that we cannot see the truth of our plight. This was a very edifying debate/conversation. More action needs to be taken rather than so much talking. Blessings 🙌🏽
Yes the topic of blaming men for women emotionally based decisions. Yall choose who you fuck and get pregnant by via superficial sentiments like he is 6ft and taller, or he has tattoos, or he has swag and other crap and yall reject somemen cuz he aint tall or he is skinny or he dont sound hood or some dumb shit.

But on the other hand they're on the basis of our problems when it comes to us as a family I know a lot of people don't like him, but the one thing they can't deny is that he has been consistent with his message from the very beginning In Black unity is something I fully support 🙏🏾😌✨
The portion related to accountability within our community hits home. We have become so content in our individualism that we can't comprehend that how collectively we are failing each other. The young podcasters have to stretch their mindset a little bit. Individually, we should always be the best mothers and fathers-leading and rooted in wisdom, knowledge and understanding. Collectively, it is our responsibility to use those skills outside the home in our communities to build and fix the next generation.
That’s not going to happen until our culture is restored. And you can’t save everyone. The best thing you can do for the “black”community is successfully raise a so called black family.
@@user-ye4bu6xh4c I mean, of course. That’s self explanatory. That why in my original statement I said “Individually we should always be the best ….” However; collectively we should be making impact on our communities. The young men already expressed that they are good men but when Dr. Umar asked about what they were doing for community- they were silent. The point is.. if we want to see the change, we have to teach outside of ourselves and find ways lend impact on our communities x
@user-ye4bu6xh4c I’m confused. Who said raising though? You get in where you can fit in. Just as you mentioned, there is opportunity for mentorship regardless of the choices the mother has made. However: I think once again, our talking point is narrowing in scope. As a community, there is opportunity for financial literacy, big brother/ big sister programs, STEM education, home ownership programs. I am just saying Instead of “why should I” there should be more “how can I”
No we don’t. Ain’t no one building up the community. We are weak and useless when it comes to that. We been free we been knew this info. We live the life we want.

Sadness...is seeing how little Umar Johnson and his "crowd" actually understand.
Yes!!!!!! How can we rebuild the trust
What community is Umar part of? He doesn’t work with anybody. All he does is bloviate and pontificate.
I'm so glad Dr. Umar had this discussion with other young blk men. It's much needed.🤔
It's just unfortunate that they didn't want to listen.

He persisted on holding BLACK women accountable on our “poor decisions” in dating men.. when majority of the men in our community are what he describe as “pookie and ray ray” (and we know what type of men he was trying to get at here).

@@aaronrooks2703 that is unfortunate, I think he should turn and take responsibility first.
@@aaronrooks2703 how do u kno that?
@@jaejae444 Umar has 2 kids with 2 baby mamas
@@aaronrooks2703 i kno that, but how do u kno he isn't accountable to them?
Not listening…No accountability 🤦🏽♀️ and still thinking individually!
As a woman, I have nothing to add or take away from this conversation. I appreciate the opportunity to sit in and listen.
I love black men❤
Conversations like this is when Dr. Johnson really shines.
Yall all love him when it comes to chastising black men but did any of you donate to the school? When's it opening? Yall didn't even hear the part where he said if you stop BUYING HAIR YOU could make a difference in your community as well, yall only heard 1 PART of it.....smh
@@Incredible_Geez Who is yall? I said black MEN, I didn't express admiration for one man.
I have not donated to his school. I have limited resources and I donate to other causes that more immediately support my direct community.
I'm not checking for the opening date as my child is not a male nor do we live in the same city as that school. I support our school with finances and time.
I literally work in fundraising for a nonprofit that is IN MY community (and have been working in nonprofit for years).
Oh and my hair is locked ( and has been for years).
So again, who is "yall"?
@@Incredible_Geez black women hear it well and good, we get told this a million times yet many of us have never heard or seen black men also get checked. Its always "black women this" "black women that" now we going off with our fancy degrees and many black men are staying the same.
@KIll74N "Many Black men staying the same"....Ummm....you got Brothas out here building bridges, becoming President of the United States, Running corporations, Joining professional Ball clubs, becoming Chefs, protecting and serving the Country and a PLETHORA of other great things....so Bw finally decided to stop depending on pookie to become a good man or government assistance and decided to get Educated and you want a cookie? Medal of honor? Did you know getting a degree or learning a trade was something that YOUR SUPPOSED TO DO?? Something that BM been doing for Centuries? Something that Yt women do AUTOMATICALLY and never brag about it, because its something THEIR ACCUSTOMED TO DOING??Something WE FOUGHT and died for so that YOU can have the right to get Educated?? Please sit down and shut up. On behalf of all BM'S......PLEASE...
“If we never allowed pookie to develop there wouldn’t be a pookie” 🔥🔥
Go stop Big Shirley from developing. There’s far more Big Shirley’s than Pookies in America.
This whataboutism how bout you take some responsibility
@@omegaduck2955 right they went in circles for about 10 minutes in the interview because the one host refused to accept the need for male collective responsibility. It's like he wanted Dr. Umar to lay into women's issues and crucify their poor choices which Dr. Umar never dismissed. That young man's energy was way off and I'm happy Dr. Umar didn't fall into the "what about" trap and focused on what men haven't done and can do for the benefit for all
This man is a Man!
A black woman raised Pookie 😄
to the black women out there, I apologize to you for my previous bad behavior and I apologize to the present behavior you guys are enduring from black men
Blah blah blah. Black men suck!! Biggest waste of space. They do nothing positive for community. Wanna sit around and blame black women for their issues. I have zero respect!!!
Thank you my brother, and may we up hold you in prayers and strength to be all our black community and world God has called you to be
We love you ❤❤❤
What are you doing to change your behavior/mindset? Have you sought therapy?
yes and living by the principles of the kingdom of God@@blaqkatt5806
Dr.Umar i agree with you 1000%. Those guys just don't get it. They think you is doing the blame game. Tell it Dr.Umar maybe they may get it sooner or later.
