The expressions of rage between the king and the chef are priceless
@Colton C I swear, the young generations are like aliens that came to earth and pretend their natural.
@Colton C Many people think everything’s about them, that they get so offended at a perceived slight: You “explaining” a joke must automatically mean you’re “assuming they’re ignorant and unable to comprehend a joke”.
Several are very abrasive nowadays that, you simply post your harmless personal observation about a sketch, they think it warrants an uncalled-for sarcastic response.
Like this one. ×‿×
This is probably the best episode of Game of Thrones thus far.
Archerion Joffrey really changed for better
Hahaha
Actually, it was The Kings Speech. I know because I saw it.
Alternate universe where Joffery lives
@@EFTanker Really? I saw it too. It was great!
Chef was originally 12th in line for the throne, but when the king killed his whole family, he moved up
ah, Chef's Guide to Love and Murder?
That's if the chef has older brothers. The chef's sisters would be behind him in line by Salic law. And this kids would be his heirs, which are gone after the king beheaded his whole family
bill hader and russell brand are the best thing i never knew i needed
Nah, just Bill Hader.
johana77 don’t you dare disrespect Russell
no, mate,Russell Brand is simply awful..all that yelling and screaming and no acting .
stranraerwal bill hader was yelling and screaming.
@@OfficerFriendly2006 :nonsense..you're all mouth and no thought.
The camera man that zoomed in on the nose pecking deserves a raise ... he made the scene
Fr
how much does he get paid exactly?
@@XpVersusVista four
@@C0nstant1n Four? He deserves five
@@themoodiestsmoothie He'll only get four and a half. It's a union thing.
03:45 That switch between mad and sane. Bill is too good.
The manners are strong with this one
Russell Brand's recovery after bill hader purposely tries to make him break is legendary!
Ikr
Absolutely. Such a great recovery on Brand’s part…but it also somehow made it that much funnier lol
He almost got him though lol. like another two second's of nose pecking would've been enough.
Bill Hader pecking with his nose 😂😂
Linta Mustafa yeah. And Russell has a very sexy nose
The hen and pigeon kingdom of the world welcomes bill hader with open wings!!
They also eskimo kissed
Don't think that was scripted 😅👍
Love your pfp :)
"See how I humiliate you, I mock you with the bread you baked". That part always kills me😂😂😂
Brrrrrrrread
There are 2 types of SNL sketches:
1. One person acts strangely and everyone comments on it
2. Everyone acts strangely and one person comments on it.
This is the latter.
Indeed
Are you new?
1. That is called the couch and the straight man. It's how most comedy is written.
@@ImNotaRussianBot you tricked me to look up that phrase. Curse youuuuuuu!!!!
Yeah, they should probably switch up the formula. There are lots of different kinds of sketch comedy, many of them seen in previous generations of SNL... and Mr. Show.. and Kids in the Hall.. etc...
Wait, if the chef was his cousin, and he killed the chef's family...
Holy shit man
Justin Umali you should play the game crusader kings 2, which is a historical strategy game set in the middle ages, and then you will realise this practise of killing ones relatives isn't all that uncommon back then
>implying i dont kill off shit tier offspring on the regular
Justin Umali after 3 years, one wouldn't expect you to bother
well I was wrong
I'm a simple man. Somebody comments CK2, I reply.
Justin Umali I'm more of an EU4 guy, but learning the ropes of CK2 as I'm planning to buy it, with DLC
I think the king and the chef were ancestors of Gordon Ramsay
LOL! Good one!
👍
They have more charm though.
That makes a lot more sense now
Agree. 👍🙂
I legit did not know Russel brand could act as anyone but himself
Wait he's not being himself right here? 🤣
I thought he did a great job in Despicable Me.
And you still don't.
Is he channeling Brian Blessed?
He cant
tell me if i'm wrong but russell looks like david tennant here and bill hader looks like human shrek
I thought it was Steve Coogan the first time I watched it
this broke me
Here Russell is a dead ringer for a young Freddie Mercury.
Human shrek I-
I came looking for this comment.
"There's a subtle hint of - blehhhh" omg that delivery made me burst out laughing
The rare gem when Bill gets someone ELSE to break
It’s always good when that happens. It happens in Herb Welch
I had tears in my eyes! Damn! Hader absolutely killed me! Lmao
Ashmita Nashville
It would be appropriate for you to be named Royal Taster.
Ashmita Nandy b
They also killed him.
Monthy Python's reference is strong with this one
no mungo no!
+James Tilsley never kill a customer

I think they must mean the ‘Dirty Fork’ sketch, which was also included in the ‘And Now For Something Completely Different’ movie. I don’t see it, myself.
@@adamtzsch
It's the screaming cook. Not that hard to overlook. XD
God, such good acting in this sketch.
I especially love the subtlety that Bill Hader and Russell Brand bring to the table.
I am in love with the genius Bill Hader.
THIS IS SUCH A BRILLIANT SKETCH. everyone is so good in it!!!!!! so good
Potatohead827: you can't have seen many sketches. Usually potatoheads never have.
"it has a hint of-blugsvydvbggd" killed me 😂😂😂
Killed him too
@@Hinatazuki oh my GOD HAHAHAHA
I just realised... it might be parody of the game Oblivion. There you can feed characters poisoned food and they die the same way XD
I was thinking the same thing! That looked just like the Oblivion poisoning death animation! 😂
There's a subtle hint of MIAAHHEHWJDGSHJDNEH!!!!!
It tastes good actually with the MIAAHHEHWJDGSHJDNEH makes it taste delicious
That was too cute... 😂😂😂😂😂
This has Monty Python written all over it. I love it.
Eric Idle: King; John Cleese: Chef; Michael Palin: Taster.
I thought the same
even the casts couldn't help laughing.gosh! Bill hader is so amazingly talented
So you killed the entire family of the chef... who is your cousin. Got it.
He is a very unpopular king 😂😭😭😭
Underrated comment:-).
Wow. It feels like i'm watching two John Cleeses arguing with each other.
+Tae Young Ahn THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS THINKING, THANK YOU FOR SAYING IT.
Argument Castle!
AHAHAH
OMG BEST COMMENT 😂
No you didnt (only a few will get the reference) 🤫
3:28 You can really tell Russell was trying to hold in his laughter.
One of the most underrated SNL sketches ever made. Hilarious!

British monarchy explained in 5 minutes
Just monarchy
@@guillermodebaskerville7117 I thought Brits gave birth of monarchy
@@mdnahidn ummmm, that erases africa and asia who also had/have monarchs. I love international royal family stories lol
@@mdnahidn Britain not only wasn’t the birthplace of monarchy, it was one of the last adopters of it in Western Europe. Monarchy was basically the first type of human civilization and hereditary rule spread from the Middle East and China out to the rest of Eurasia and Africa.
British monarchy only really came about in its modern form due to the Viking Danelaw creating the concept of a unified English state then the invasion by French nobleman William of Normandy to found the Kingdom of England modeled off of the monarchy of feudal France.
By the time England was founded in 1066, France had been ruled by three dynasties over 6 centuries - the Holy Roman Empire (what would become the German and Austrian Empires) was three centuries old, the Byzantines were still alive as a direct continuation of the old Roman Empire in the Balkans - Poland, Lithuania, Ukraine and Denmark had all formed kingdoms, and the Islamic Emirate of Córdoba ruled Spain functionally as a kingdom - and that’s just in Europe.
Not only was England late to the game, but they didn’t have a ruling family originating from the British Isles until the late 1300’s. It was the French houses of Normandy and Plantagenet, then 4 centuries of British houses (Lancaster, York, Tudor & Stuart) then the Dutch house of Orange-Nassau, then since the 1700’s the British royals were of German nobility (house Brunswick-Lunenburg - later called Hanover in English, then house Saxe-Coburg-Gotha - now called Windsor for pr reasons). British royalty isn’t novel and is barely British.
@@mdnahidn lmao Americans be like
Taran Killam can even die funny. The dude is a comedic genius.
The king and the chef are just playing a game, their just poisoning tasters for their amusement.

"Bring me another te-te-te-te-taster"😂😂😂
This is one of the best written and performed skits I've ever seen!! ..this is comedy gold.all 3 are brilliant taran, bill and Russell! Great sketch
Better writing than the latest season of Game of Thrones
Russell can't seem to keep a straight face 😂😂😂😂q
Vlad Sicoe haha bill made him break
The nose pecking, about getting Brand to break character was fuckin hilarious!
completely forgot about this sketch, absolutely hilarious Hader & Brand interaction
One of the few things missing from "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" was that Bill and Russell didn't have any scenes together.
Ohm my effin god you're right...! What the F we're they thinking?!
0:47 "CHEEEEEF !!! GET YOUR FAT IGNORANT ASS IN HERE !!!" Best Intro Ever !
3:25 You can just see how hard the King is trying to not laugh out loud !
2:32
He sounds like Lemongrab
“UNACCEPTABLE CONDITIONS!”
softpheonix haha haha someone who gets it
richard adrian :))
Ngl killing my family is kind of unacceptable
0:37 gotta love that voice crack
Bill Hader is always the highlight of any scene he is in.
Russel Brand always brings another layer of epicness to anything he does ;)
Even if that is not a poison, that amount of salt should do the trick..🤣🤣🤣
"CHEF GET YOUR FAST IGNORANT ASS IN HERE!"
That line is priceless, always gets me 🤣
HOW CAN THEY EVEN MAKE A STRAIGHT FACE? I WAS LAUGHING MY ASS OFF ESP THAT NOSE BUMP 😂😂
the king costume is fucking amazing
Finally saw it. It truly deserved the oscar
@3:27 he's trying so hard not to crack up 😂 😂 😂
The "ASS MOUTH CHEF" had me dying😂
brand and hader has so much synergy in crazy characters
This was a great sketch! Bill Hader and Taran Killam are two of my faves from SNL and they were both great! Russell Brand was a super funny king too!
*“I’ll never tell”*
If you hear closely Bill Hader says "Ohhh I'll fking go home" at 3:21
He said "Oh I'll salt it good"
mind fuck lol
I totally thought I heard an f bomb, too.
plot twist: he was just allergic to the soup. it wasnt poison.
This is still one of my favorite sketches with a guest host.
Bill Hader
throught the whole sketch I was just so scared that Bill's eyes will fall out of his head... anyone else? :D
I love how the king's actor just almost loses it at 3:27😂😂
"Oh you know what, that's actually pretty good. There's a subtle hint of BLEEUEUUUURUHGHH"
03:26 The actor who plays the king almost started laughing.
I don't know how they all managed to keep a straight face through this.
One of the best sketches out there ...Russell acting was amazing ....the others were too but that is obvious
Russell Brand made a flawless recovery at 3:30
I've watched this more times than i'd like to admit 😄
I can't stop watching it ..it gets funnier
When Bill was so close to Russel I felt like 2 legends were together. Like one is the version of each other in different continents.
The way he died after tasting the soup. 🤣
Damn I didn’t recognize him at first but that’s Russell brand !!!
The calm way he says, "oh you try it first is hilarious" 😄
hands down one of the best skits ever
Russell Brand played himself so well in this sketch.
Was this sketch made before he was Weinsteining the female staffers in the UK. Goth Detective here
OMG The King's Speech reference at the end there
The nose boops got me lol 😆

2:52 When you stub your pinky toe at 2am going to the bathroom
4:00 Taran Killam inspired by The Elder Scrolls Oblivion
"Have you heard of the high elves?"
This is so funny. Haders characters were usually fairly chill so it’s fun to see him lose it 😂
Watch Firehouse Incident. Talk about Bill losing it! He said he couldn’t talk for a week after that one.
Bill Hader giving me strong Monty Python vibes. John Cleese in particular. The restaurant sketch
Bill Hader one of the best actors in Hollywood
0:58 Matt Damon casually cameoing in the back
Has a strong Blackadder Season 1 feel to it.
This is definitely my favourite snl sketch
russell brand scares me.
Imagine Alan Rickman from Robin Hood Prince of Thieves as the king like this. That would have been incredibly hilarious 🤣.
Props to Russell Brand for staying in character at 3.25.
Okay but Russell Brand and Bill Hader together is everything I've ever needed
The acting is just perfect and none of them broke character, that's impressive.
I really like how Bill Hader has to make himself shorter in this
Just my personal button.
3:53
😂😂😂
Russell Brand's yellin' is hilarious! lmao
2:16 me, all of 2020 😂
Bill Hader is a living legend
Update: someone tell Russell he's wearing the crown backwards
I am 100% convinced the part where Russel Brand rubbed bread in Bill's face was an attempt to make him break 😂
Monty Python is Love; Monty Python is life..........
NinjaAdorable think you mean black adder
3:29 I mean...you can't avoid smiling after having Bill Hader this close
The only thing wrong with this sketch is the amount of views it has! It deserves 10 million more!!!!
Best royal British documentary ever.
