General McPepperballs Tulsa Police QT Shooting July 3 2018

- TULSA, Okla. - Body camera footage was released and charges were filed against John Chatman who is accused of shooting at police in a QuikTrip parking lot last Tuesday.
The shootout happened at the QuikTrip off of Interstate 44 near 51st and Harvard on July 3.
Police say two officers stopped a minivan after discovering the tags didn't match the vehicle. Once officers made contact with the driver, they say he was "defiant and uncooperative."
According to police, back up was called in and officers tried to use pepper balls to get the suspect out, and the suspect opened fire on officers, hitting one in the leg.
Police fired back, hitting the man at least once in the chest.

yeah so do we. Too many cops on power trips, and we see many videos where they cost the taxpayers bookoo bucks in settlements. This guy looks like he was cool though.
It ALWAYS baffles me when people turn a perfectly amicable situation into a shooting, and the constant hate on police does not help at all. MASSIVE props to that Sergeant, he showed the kind of calmness you need to command frightened men (not that being scared is something to be ashamed of), and he led from the front!
It's because they know they are gonna get into huge trouble once the police find out who they are. I've seen so many cases on this channel and off that have the same thing happen. Dude has outstanding warrants, or is an ex-felon in possession of drugs or a gun. They know that they'll go to jail, so they instead try to kill the cops or get the cops to kill them cause they are too scared to off themselves or go back to jail. It's why Junior was begging for them to just shoot him when they started demanding he get out, leading up to him pulling his, more than likely, illegal gun out and firing at them.
its like these people have a gun, they point it at their own feet, they shoot themselves in the foot and scream police brutality. Not all, of course, some are just piss poor judgement or even evilness, but most are. And all they'd have to do in that hypothetical, is just put the gun down. Dont be a dumbfuck prick and thinks they know the law when they think Juristriction is a word.
Dude literally talked himself from verbal warning to the death penalty

Sergeant McPepperball showed incredible bravery throughout the ordeal, and if anyone deserves an award, it's him. To remain so calm after being shot and actually instructing his officers is amazing. It never ceases to amaze me how many people claim they know their rights when they know nothing of the sort. Thank you, DonutOperator, for providing such knowledgeable feed back from one blue family to another.
I live in Tulsa and I PROMISE YOU that they wouldn’t have given him a warning for driving without a drivers license and a wrong tag, but these officers seemed nicer. (Edit: this was before the 2020 shooting of the 2 officers that got killed in Tulsa on a traffic stop so they aren’t as lenient atm)

Deserves a raise.
How it should have started
Cop: “you have ID on you?”
Guy: “no. Am I free to go?”
Cop: “yeah sure.”
Guy: *starts car and starts to drive away*
Cop: *pulls car over* “I pulled you over for not having driver’s license.”
Kind of--he wouldn't have been obligated to show ID for just sitting there; nor for simply driving away, as the catch-22 was him merely stating he had no ID when he did not have to show it at that point. Had the cops pulled him over based merely on him saying he had no ID, yet he was able to produce one, the guy might have been able to bring action in civil court (possibly--more likely in a liberal state). But, pulling him over would have been warranted once determined the van had the wrong tag, which obligated him to produce an ID at that point. I am guessing the gas station was closer than them getting information on the tag, which is why the van was already stopped.

A lawyer who represents himself has a fool for a client.
Some people complain that this was “illegal” or “harassment” by running the plate. Well when I lived in a bigger city in CA, there was A LOT of car theft. Police would patrol our apartment complex parking lot and others, especially motels not looking for people in cars “looking suspicious.” They would regularly run plates on cars, especially ones who were not usually parked there to check for stolen cars. They’d run plates to make sure they weren’t reported stolen or come back to the wrong car. Sorry but I’m completely ok about that. Our car theft rate is and was crazy high. Glad I don’t live there anymore!
The “some people” are idiots. We need to start ignoring or shutting them down. I hate to see cops putting their lives in danger trying to be super nice to obvious bad guys. There should be one or two orders maximum before tools start getting used. No long arguments or debates about “my rights” and “I don’t have to”.
It can be harassment if done as retaliation, but license plates are plainly observable from public and therefore police have as much right to note the plates as anyone else.
As a fellow Californian I completely agree. I would even give the government my DNA if they asked. I'm all for feeling protected and safe which is scarce in this stupid state.

These officers did a fine job! And you are right, they did their very best to "de-escalate" the situation. And yes, people throw that word around to the point of absurdity.
Attempts to de-escalate a situation, however are not always apparent. It is usually officers who lack authoritative control and turn the situation into a power struggle.
In those instances, it seems to be evident that the officers have not been provided with appropriate training.

I dont know...sometimes I'm just flabbergasted by the choices people make.
The absolute tragedy is that this sub-zero IQ individual was able to reproduce before he got taken off the streets.
And as dumb as HE is, that white girl with him somehow manages to be even worse off in the "Brains Department" because she chose that dude to be her Baby Daddy.
This comment needs more likes 👍🏻
they even said many times, we dont care about the traffic violations... most likely if he would have gotten out, gave his name.. they maybe would have given him a citation or warning... but fuckbags gunna fuckbag.
Daddy donut! Just found the channel. Love this stuff. The action to be clear. Not so much the death.
I watched the actual bodycam before i found your channel and omg u explained and spike about this so nicely
Edit: u can tell she knows exactly where its going to go, thats why she didnt want to move when he asked
That girlfriend screaming in slow mo sounds like slim Pickens when he’s riding the nuke down in dr Strangelove
Brilliant
You’re one of the very few people who review/react to police use of force videos with some actual common sense and it is appreciated!
Active self defense is another great one Jason is articulate and breaks it down but very pro down the range which is great
Screw those who get upset for whatever reason I would like to see full length
Mr. PepperMcballs is the leader every office needs.
On this episode of former General Donut: How to turn a warning into attempted murder of an Officer.
Michael Pajewski if he is lucky. If not he's going to have a fun life in prison.
Amazing how some people insist on "Super Sizing" their crime.
"You were speeding, I need your licence and registration."
"You ain't nebba gonna take me alive copper!" High speed chase and gunfight ensues.
A simple traffic ticket becomes multiple felonies.
This happened on the same day my milk expired, that was a bad day
F
You should have tased the expired milk. Lol 😂
@@kmbfloral3319 in the moustache
damn das tuff
At some point stupidity becomes illegal as it gets you arrested.
What is ur source for these body cam footages is it just RUclips or other things to
Should have arrested that woman too. Donut missed her saying, “If the cars off and the keys not in the ignition y’all can’t do anything.” Riiiiiight. Not like they saw him driving it. 🙄
Stud Puffin and that shit isn't on tape either!
Leopard Boas 2 times
The sergeant, despite being wounded, got back up and continued to command the rest of the shootout, what an absolute legend.
General mcpepperballs is a stud. A hero, a real man. He's not only back on his feet, but calming the other officers and telling them how to handle the situation. This guy is tougher than a coffin nail. I wonder if he was military.
Great content 😊 were you a police officer? I was USMC EOD.......3 tours
Yeah Donut was a cop, he was even swat for I believe 3 years?
Tulsa police department goes hard.
Also that officer said "ANOTHA ONE" and you read that in DJ Khalid's voice.
Thank you for your service to this country. Watching your videos has sort of inspired me to take on the path of becoming a police officer. I am 17 living in FL working towards my degree and am looking forward to my journey to serving my community. Thanks for all you do Donut, and for many more videos to come!
Izzi McKemie good luck to you. Make us all proud.
Thank you for your service you are such a puke
The Devil's Advocate sorry I offended you. Just trying to show respect.
POC Skellington no clue what this means but okay 🐖
Maria Rosa thanks I'm not there yet but I hope someday I will be
I gotta say I don't mind if you upload streams, the streams I don't like are posted by people like saberspark who do movie reviews. But if you're just streaming yourself watching something I don't consider that a review.
The officers were a lot more patient with this guy than they needed to be.
General McPepperballs is a badass, hope he’s doing well
You and me both.
👍👍🖖
👏☺️☺️☺️
When they asked the girl to move out of the way she knew exactly how it was going to end...
I swear my next character in a video game is going to be named General McPepperballs. 😆😆
That is how you lead! What a great video.
“ If junior knows his rights, he should know he has the right to remain silent. “
"📣DOHNUT" I love that random shout in the vidz!
Hey, anyone know what the song at the end is? Was definitely digging that.
"whats up uncle donut"
"you call me daddy donut son"..
well ok then daddy donut.. XDD
He literally had every chance in the world to comply, they were respectful and so patient with him. Then decide too pull a weapon, and shoot an officer, what did he think was gonna happen! Yet people are still gonna say it wasn’t justified 🙄 I also feel bad for the pups!
General Mcpepperballs deserves his own Tshirt
Adam goldbergs version of this comment: General Mcpepper BALLS
Sgt. Pepperballs, a hero among mere mortals. The leader everyone needs. God bless this man.
Bro just got demoted from general to sergeant 💀💀💀💀
I found a great method to skip all the filler from these videos. Skip 80% of the video and you usually get to the point why you clicked the video.
