Its surprising how fast them patch bays get populated. I went the other route, "normalled " so everything its connected and ready to roll, then a cable to reroute a connection elsewhere, looking forward to seeing all that I/O at work
I definitely wanted to try to set up like that, but I couldn't get everything included. Some day I'll get that Pulse 16 and then I'll have enough analog I/O to get everything looped in without patch cables. I can keep dreaming for now 😊
My mind turned off just looking at all those cables. I still don't really understand patchbays! And I'm still interested in that VLA! I'll hit you up at RR. Stay warm!
I like that! My next desk will definitely have some way to make it easier to move. Or at least it'll be sturdy enough to allow me to drag it around single-handedly.
I did start looking into networkable audio, but I never found the right solution for me. MOTU has some great AVB solutions. And the Dante protocol looks amazing but the gear to support it is insanely expensive. It would have cost me something like $10K to get a Dante-capable interface for my studio plus another Dante-capable interface for my drums upstairs! I'd love to get my hands on some Dante gear just to play around with it, though.
Thanks so much! That is indeed my banjo :) I'm still pretty much just playing it like a guitar in open G, but I'm learning bits and pieces of how to play a banjo as time passes.
I love it! I think that my only gripes about it so far are that the headphone output could use a bit more available gain, and I wish that I had control over input gain and gain auto-set via TotalMix for the 12Mic preamps. But the pres are great, the build is great, and it's been rock-solid and stable for me so far.
Music is fantastic!!
All of your efforts are worth it if this is the quality of your audio and the level of songwriting you have to offer. Bravo, sir. Bravo.
Story of my life..!!! Again and again ! I feel you
It never seems to end 😊 Hopefully I'm set up for easier inclusion of any future upgrades. Probably not...but I can hope!

Nice Job Bro !! I Thought I Was The Only One Interested In Doing ReWiring Videos
Thanks! And the sad thing is that I've already rewired again since this video 😂
@@YHRS Lol

Yeah, I understand. It's a lot of connections! And I'm already scheming for how I'm going to rewire it yet again :)
I put my desk on wheels, makes it weely easy to move it when making 'adjustments'

Any chance with the Behringer 404hd you can show us how to use pedals as outboard gear for mixing?
Have you considered the Cat 6 solutions??? I would love to hear your thought on those!

Loved the song. Is that your banjo we are hearing?

How is the RME 12mic treating you . I might end pulling the trigger on one but want to know your thoughts . Thanks.

I’m not far behind ya brother. I’ve got to move stuff around as well.
It's certainly not a fun part of a home studio. But it is definitely rewarding once it's done!
Can't wait for a time when we have viable wireless studio technology and cable purists arguing how it's not as good ^_^.
Ooh yes, that'll be a beautiful day! And yes, of course the purists will complain about it hehehe
