- Just saying hi and taking a look at a few new things around the studio, after a very inactive year in 2022. We'll take a look at a Lego Fender Stratocaster and Princeton amp, a couple of Neumann U87ai mics that I've been enjoying, a workstation invading my "play" room, and the TC Electronic Clarity M Stereo meter/monitor.

Hello, friend. I really can relate with the muse disappearing this year. I can't count the times I've launched Reaper just to look blankly at the screen, and to close it in frustration afterwards.
In any case, I would keep that workstation far away from my little muse as she is quite fickle about that sort of intrusion.

Love the legos Tad...although it reminds me of the Princeton Reverb I had to sell for bills many years ago...wish I still had it.
I had a quiet year as well, but just putting the finishing touches on something new.

Tad, distraction by Lego blocks is a serious condition and whilst the diagnosis is dire the prognosis is good. Please see that you fill and take your prescription as directed: muse is muscle - exercise is required.
Hehehe, fortunately I only spend a few hours per year assembling Legos so hopefully I've got it under control :)
I totally agree, inspiration usually comes with repetition so hopefully I can get my rear in gear and make some new stuff in the new year. It's been a very prolific couple of years for you, and I've enjoyed seeing your compositions progress this year. Cheers, and happy holidays to you and yours!
Tad! I had to put my work in my play zone and it severely had an impact on my desire to be in here to play at the end of the day and on weekends. It's a double edged sword. I love working from home and i wouldn't trade it for going back to the office but man i miss having my recording hideaway. 😔
So far I'm doing an OK job of ignoring the workstation when I'm on my own time. But yeah it does have an effect to hang out in the same space for both work and for fun. I'll give it a bit more time and I might move my work computer to another room in the house. Cheers man, I hope things are going well for you up in the great white frigid north!
