My next hack will be ground up Spinach Leafs mixed with Wheatgerm oil into a paste and also Aloe Vera for an ultimate night face mask. I started using Aloe about 2months ago, after 3 different brand i found one that works for me. I have oily skin but no acne so the Aloe is fine i have 99% gel i got it fr the Health Food Store instead of cosmetics, i mix in my Niacinamide powder with it and it works great. I haven't considered the powder yet. I also tried it with different niacinamide solutions, and I will upload a video about it today. In can be very effective when using it in combination with Niacinamide. 🙂 Thank you.
This is a question troubles me for a long time! I always hear people say a thicker moisturizer needs to be applied after Aloe Vera Gel, as the gel would actually dry out the skin (like hyaluronic acid). Thanks for clearing up this question!!! :DD (I have oily skin, so I want to find a light moisturizer).
Happy to help. 🙂 It does not dry out the skin. It attracts water but still does not the same as "real" Hyaluronic Acid. It works more like Sodium Hyaluronate. But yes you really need to test it and see how it works best :)
I have to agree with you it can definitely dry out the skin exactly like sodium hyularonate that's in so many products these days as it is more of a mild humectant/ hydrator rather than a moisturizer as such. I've been using raw aloe from the leaf for over 5 years straight and i can confidently say it can lead to drying of the skin if not used properly. I would say your right to apply a light moisturizer or a thicker non comedogenic one over it. 👌

Thank you 🙂 Yes, I may do some more routines on this soon. Since it works pretty well for me, I always use it as the first step after the cleanser, and I usually skip the toner. So would be the same step as Hyaluronic Acid. But there are many options, test it and see what you like most. Just do not use too much product! :)

Hey! :) What's your skin type? If you have normal to oily skin, I recommend not using a moisturizer at all (or if you still want to use one, use it only in the evening). You can use them in the same routine. There are not many things to consider. Apply Glycolic Acid first and layer Alpha Arbutin and Niacinamide on top. It depends on what you like most. With some serums/gels, I like to pat with others; it works better with blending/rubbing. Sometimes it leads to pilling when blending/rubbing it. See what works best for you.

Yes, you can do that if you like. I mean, if you feel that aloe vera gel is not moisturizing enough, you certainly could apply it. Just give the gel a couple of minutes or so to absorb.

Well, you can use them in the same routine. But you do not have to. The order would be Hyaluronic Acid, Pure Aloe Vera Gel and lastly, Niacinamide. Keep in mind that's just when using a pure aloe vera gel. Not when using an Aloe vera moisturizer which usually includes shea butter or heavier oils!
Since it hydrates the skin, it may help to plump the skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Otherwise, you may want to look into a Retinol eye cream :)

Hey! :) For your active pimples: 2% Salicylic Acid Cleanser or Leave-on Exfoliant For your dark spots: a brightening serum containing Niacinamide, Vitamin C, Alpha Arbutin and/or Tranexamic Acid. Don't forget sunscreen during the day.

Since you have oily skin, you do not necessarily need to apply an additional moisturizer on top since your skin produces enough oil to seal the moisture. However, you can use oil-controlling products during the day if you feel that it is too much. But apart from that, no. :)

Don’t use vitamin C in the morning, if you do please apply sunscreen. Use vitamin C in the evening cuz it reacts with the sun in the morning which isn’t good for the skin.

You can use sunscreen (during daytime), but don't overdo it with the aloe vera gel as it may lead to pilling or feels very uncomfortable on the skin. Heyy aloea vera just byitself works perfect for me but the thing that i'm scared is if i use aloea after serums (aha+bha or niacinamide) the effect of serum will disappear since aloea itself doesn't offer a protective layer byitself. Cerave seems fine + it has slicone (idk if slicones prevent water loss) but i'm so oily with cerave especially at home.
Aloe will be enough to build a protective layer, especially if you have normal to oily skin. Your skin does not lack oil, so there is no need to add additional oil/silicon.

No, that's not true. They are talking about old formulations. Most serums nowadays do not include Hyaluronic Acid anymore. They have other derivatives of Hyaluronic Acid(sodium hyaluronate) which are still called Hyaluronic Acid. It isn't very clear. So they can penetrate the skin and do not sit on top. Therefore it does not matter if you apply it on dry or on damp skin. So you can use it before Retinol. But generally speaking, Retinol works best with a moisturizer; it just tends to feel better on the skin. (Base don my experience.) But which serum do you have? 🤔

I am familiar with the study, but applying sunscreen after using skincare products can help reduce any negative effects. And if the sunscreen contains aloe vera it is also okay.

You have sadly 3 products that can or should not be used together :( So it would help if you used them at alternate times. It's a little bit , not too much but I feel like I should be wary of it. I asked other people who tried it and they said they didn't feel any sting or burn or itchiness

@@Kai791 What Aloe Vera Gel do you use? Is it a mask or 'moisturiser'? :) I recommend washing your face at first with water, pat the skin dry with a towel and then apply your Aloe Vera Gel on top (all over your face). If it is a mask, rinse it off after some time, if it is a moisturiser, leave it on the skin. Let me know if the problem still occurs.

For dry skin- 1St Aloe vera and 2nd moisturizer.
For dry skin, use 1st Aloe vera and 2nd moisturizer (with occlusive properties, such as a lotion or cream).

You can use them in the same routine. There are not many things to consider. Apply Glycolic Acid first and layer Alpha Arbutin and Niacinamide on top.

It depends on what you like most. With some serums/gels, I like to pat with others; it works better with blending/rubbing. Sometimes it leads to pilling when blending/rubbing it. See what works best for you.

Since you have oily skin, you do not necessarily need to apply an additional moisturizer on top since your skin produces enough oil to seal the moisture. However, you can use oil-controlling products during the day if you feel that it is too much. But apart from that, no. :)

You can use sunscreen (during daytime), but don't overdo it with the aloe vera gel as it may lead to pilling or feels very uncomfortable on the skin.

Heyy aloea vera just byitself works perfect for me but the thing that i'm scared is if i use aloea after serums (aha+bha or niacinamide) the effect of serum will disappear since aloea itself doesn't offer a protective layer byitself. Cerave seems fine + it has slicone (idk if slicones prevent water loss) but i'm so oily with cerave especially at home.
Aloe will be enough to build a protective layer, especially if you have normal to oily skin. Your skin does not lack oil, so there is no need to add additional oil/silicon.

No, that's not true. They are talking about old formulations. Most serums nowadays do not include Hyaluronic Acid anymore. They have other derivatives of Hyaluronic Acid(sodium hyaluronate) which are still called Hyaluronic Acid. It isn't very clear. So they can penetrate the skin and do not sit on top. Therefore it does not matter if you apply it on dry or on damp skin. So you can use it before Retinol. But generally speaking, Retinol works best with a moisturizer; it just tends to feel better on the skin. (Base don my experience.)

I am familiar with the study, but applying sunscreen after using skincare products can help reduce any negative effects. And if the sunscreen contains aloe vera it is also okay.

You can use aloe vera with coconut oil afterwards; this works very well. I always wanted to do a video about it, but I couldn't find any good oils in my area; I am still looking for one. It works well since you are using the aloe vera to hydrate the skin and protect it with oil! 🙂

@@debasmitasahoo1488 No, for dry skin, I recommend using a protective cream. You can get Aloe vera creams that are a bit heavier. But an excellent affordable cream for winter can be CeraVe moisturizing cream or if you want something a bit lighter, the lotion.

It's a little bit , not too much but I feel like I should be wary of it. I asked other people who tried it and they said they didn't feel any sting or burn or itchiness
