It will be very interesting to see if SRAM continues the same as their new force, which is just a rebadged older stuff with hoods shaped like Rivals. Would be a bit of a let down if Red is identical as previous Red with just some new paint.
Now that it has been released, it is actually heavier and shifts slower than the current stuff. The only advantage I see is more secure shifts under load but that comes at the cost of faster shifts and lighter weights.
SRAM will also be offering a standard hanger bracket fitness version and according to bike shop the new SRAM axs XX is due to be released today(UK) 21/03/23
From my understanding they are going to keep all the previous models, electric and mechanical, in the line up since not all manufacturers use the UDH for the rear derailleur. This new stuff is focused on high wattage shifting, like e-bikes and pro world cup riders.

Nice video about sram New parts to be release soon.👌
Thanks Davy!
Idk about that cassette. Looks messy or is it just because of the angles
Yeah it does look like an AliExpress cassette pieced together honestly.
Maybe this new stuff performs better and is lighter but I like the look of the current AXS drivetrain more.

@@BlackWaterCyclist In that case, I'll take faster shifts and lighter weights any day. We've all learned to time our shifts since childhood. Lol
the cassette is simultaneously very pretty and hideous to me. i can't decide
Yes I agree. Now that we know it has narrow wide teeth, it is supposed to shift slower than the current stuff.
Frames getting destroyed without the use of a dropout in 3...2...1...🤣
And guess what? Destroyed means no warranty

Yeah I'm not really a fan of the new stuff after it has been released. Heavier, slower shifting and proprietary hangar are a turn off to me.
I hope they don't stop making the non electric stuff, I don't like tricknology...
