I remember back in the 80s/90s when Florida was basically like the Keys are now and the Keys were even crazier. It’s crazy how man has basically destroyed the oceans so quickly.
Vick, get a wedge of Parmigiano Reggiano and grate it fresh over your pasta. Once you do that, you'll throw that Kraft stuff in the garbage.

Hey Viktor, I live in Florida and I've fished the bridges at the keys but never caught anything to keep. Is there any way you could walk me through the process of what time to get there, where and what bait to buy, how you set up your rig, and also how to use a chum bag. If you can that would be amazing, thanks!!

Great catch and the spinach mushroom onion cream sauce looked outstanding. Back grouper is one of my favorite fish. Even very large black grouper are still very tasty. Thanks for letting me recall my Florida Keys glory days.

That is a special catch!! As hard as a black runs you had to get all over that fish immediately or you would have lost. Pretty work man!!!!! I hooked and battled a Godzilla Bull Shark off the dock at Edgewater. Great hotel with awesome staff Twenty years of living in the Keys and fishing for a living and you have me beat with that Black from land. #BlackGrouperFromLandRip!!!!

Mix a little corn starch and water together, make it thick. Stir a little in at a time to thicken up the sauce.

To make it easier to fillet on the second fillet, i remove the head so the body lays flat. But you fillet 100x more than me and im still a noob. Great video vic!!

@Landshark Outdoors Now you have me wondering if my Pistachio Encrusted Chilean Sea Bass w/ Garlic/Lemon Besciamella would transfer well to Grouper. I'm in Washington, no grouper here. Brother in Tampa FL, so maybe I'll have to make a trip and try it out

Sport fishing capital of Florida. Ever been to Kona, HI. We got marlin over 1000lbs, wahoo over 100lbs, mahi over 80lbs, ahi over 300lbs. trevally over 150lbs, snapper over 30lbs. and on & on. South of Kona you can catch marlin, wahoo, ahi, mahi from shore. Tight lines

To get more even fillets off a fish, cut the head off first. The head is often the widest part of a fish and causes the spine to bend while filleting the second half.
