Corn starch can help to lessen the water from tofu... because tofu always release water even when after cook...but I put it when it is about I take out from the pan or wook.....I make it as a sauce
Thank you for your comment! Great question, you can use broth instead oil, however, you would need extra time to stir it and let the broth evaporate, it could be a time consuming process but can certainly consider it. 2nd option is bake it in the oven for approximately 25-30 mins on 400 degrees C. Or until it turns golden brown or get its crispy texture! Hope this helps! Thank you again. ❤️
Awesome! That’s how we can make it more healthier! I’m glad you found what you were looking for! Thanks so much for your kind words! Enjoy & stay happy & healthy 💐❤️🙏🏼
I make this in my Lodge cast iron wok. Pro Tip - I toss all of the sauce ingredients into a heavy tumbler (large drinking glass) including whole chunks of garlic and ginger and use a stick blender to finely mince the garlic and ginger while mixing everything.
Very delicious. Thanks for posting! I see a lot of oil and cornstarch were used in this recipe. Those are not very healthy or needed. Cornstarch and oil are high in calories so to limit calories I excluded cornstarch, sugar, sesame oil and I added sesame seeds instead and used an oil spray to fry the tofu and the veggies (chickpea tofu also works very well in this recipe!). I'll try air fried tofu next time and use stevia in place of sugar. Overall, it's an amazing plant-based dish and can be weight-loss friendly if you adjust it a bit and substitute the unhealthy ingredients. It kept me full for a while. If you use frozen broccoli, it may lose its green color but still tastes good. Fresh is better.
Thanks for your feedback and suggestions to make it more healthier, yes air frying is a good option to use less oil and make them crispier as well. Also, sugar can be substituted by honey, agave, maple syrup or such natural ingredients or simply skip it. Sesame seeds can be a substitute to sesame oil however I like the taste of oil than seeds, just saying 😄 Thanks again, stay healthy! 🤩🙏🏼
Hello, Tofu is a vegetable (plant based) protein. Even though it is derived from a plant (soybeans) it is processed into a protein food. Hope this helps!
@@neelukampani6548 it’s a type of Asian/Chinese sauce that I buy it from store, thicker in consistency (made with soy sauce, cornstarch, vinegar, chili pepper etc.) and good for such stir fry recipes! Hope this helps.
Soy sauce is a fermented soy produce, it contains antioxidants, which can help protect cells from damage. It also has antimicrobial properties that may help with digestion. It gives umami flavor to the dish and using in moderation is recommended. You can always use low sodium soy sauce or substitute available in the market or choose to completely avoid consuming it. 👍🏼🙏🏼♥️
I hear ya! We can do that as well, key is all tofu pieces are covered/blended well in the sauce mixture! Hope this helps! Thanks so much for watching the video ❤️🙏🏼
Yummy! Such a shame tofu gets a bad wrap for having phytoestrogen wen it's the actual estrogen in dairy that increases Cancer risk. Tanks so much for posting
You are welcome! Thanks for sharing your feedback and the info regarding tofu! We got to try to eat everything moderately to balance out our dietary needs if what I keep in mind! Thanks again!

We don’t have to put corn starch at all. I make without corn starch at all. Turn out same. Very nice
That’s even better & healthier! Glad to know! Thanks for giving it a try! 🙏🏼👍🏻

Tofu is soya beam curd...that's the correct description....can get it at your Asian stores or vegan grocery stores...
Made it! Well I used Kung Pao sauce but this was great. Thanks

I usually fry the ginger and garlic before adding the sauce.
That works as well! Thanks for sharing that ❤️
I suffer from high blood pressure so I cut back on the salt and sodium
I get that! Hope it gets Better soon!
Can we fry the tofu as 4 slices then chop it into cubes. Trying to flip 30 cubes looks annoying
I hear ya! We can do that as well, key is all tofu pieces are covered/blended well in the sauce mixture! Hope this helps! Thanks so much for watching the video ❤️🙏🏼
But with corn stach Tofu is so much more crispy❤
You make cooking look so rough your food look good any way
Thank you for your feedback 🙏🏼
I’d love to try it but tofu is a crime in Montana.
Oh oh! You can substitute tofu with soya chunks, paneer or any meat chunks 🤞🏼
😂
Heavy on the garlic and the chilli and why not!

Talk about being toxic....if you don't like the recipe it's not your "health standards" then just don't make it & call it a day.... WTF?!?!
Happy new year 😂
Delicious, except for the sugar. Just leave the sugar out and I'll take it !
Thanks & U can skip the ingredients u want to avoid! 👍🏻🙏🏼
I think you should let the tofu cook more crispy, undercooked tofu is not good, also why so much oil?
Thanks for your feedback, to avoid oil usage you can bake or air fry as well.
Add some peanut butter to your sauce and mix it in !! Deeeeelish!!!
Oh ya, totally agree! Next time when I make it, I will add it, yummy! Thank you for sharing!!! 🤩🙏🏼
Too noisy
