      Italian rapper/trapper Ghali just released this year a song called “Walo”, where he raps on a drum base that has similar vibe and rhythm to this one. in an interview earlier this year he declared “no one’s ever rapped on a drum pattern like this”. How cute.

      @RaaynML 10 лет назад +7

      Come around again when you can talk about KoRn and such.. Limb Bizkit was a trend runner not a bloody pioneer .. They just rode the wave but brought nothing to the table really

    Using the word "haters" in a song like this makes me cringe. I don't mind the rap side of it, I think it actually is a nice change and they do it quite well, but why do they have to bring the tough-guy attitude along with it? Regardless, I like the song.

      I think it would sound better if they added some screams in it. I love the Djent sound of it thou. The way the top string rings out in that deep thickness...awesome!!! Makes me want a 7 string guitar

    This would have far more impact if it'd have some dynamics instead of some mastering fuck destroying it by compressing the shit out of it. Digital clipping all over the shop. No low end punch in that kick at all - just noise. What a shame.

    • @greatfelixo
      @greatfelixo 10 лет назад +1

      Popular music takes the piss, this is a really good song but I bet this sounded so much better before they mastered it and compressed the life out of it.

      MrLmaoLover considering I work as a sound engineer for living, I'd absolutely love to be given the chance to fix it. Gladly! Why are you taking it so personally? Were you the mastering engineer for this song? If so, I'll give you some pointers. If not, then you should share my frustration if you like the song but would like to hear it with better sound quality.

    • @MrLmaoLover
      @MrLmaoLover 10 лет назад +1

      You're saying this music is just noise... ,lots of palm muting and compressing the sound, it's typical in this style, and he's playing the way he played in Heart Of A Coward. I like the sound but many don't, and music will always be like that, someone saying that it sucks, others saying that it should sound better and
      and people that actualy like the music goddamit, if you dont like it, don't play it.

    • @skeletalwreck
      @skeletalwreck 10 лет назад +1

      MrLmaoLover I'm sorry, you have completely misunderstood me. I love this music and the playing. I am talking about the mixing and mastering of the recording, not how their instruments sound lol. As I stated in the first post, I am blaming the Mastering Engineer.

    I read here some metal purists. I think you troos kvlt suck. If in metal history musicians didn't try new things, it would be dead by now. What is the problem mixing rap with it? It's not evil? Not everything in metal is to sound evil. This band is about opening conscience to political issues, and since I am left wing activist, I can identify myself to them. Ok, maybe they have some influences from nu metal bands, like limp biskit, linkin park, wtv... but what is the problem? Don't they have a way better sound?

      If it isn't about Satan or gore it's not b00tal or true kvlt! How dare someone make a song with meaningful lyrics!
      I'm really glad that they're trying something different and not caring what the br00tal kiddies think. Metal is all about not caring about how others perceive you and this band is doing that perfectly.

      Cameron Losch from Born of Osiris put up a link to show people the breakdown, and of course I loved it. So I just listened to the breakdown, because I wasnt much of a fan of the rap. But then I listened to the whole song once or twice, and then Elevate a few times, then False Idols and yeah by then it was loving it.

    • @johnhjoker
      @johnhjoker 9 лет назад +3

      Wombat Sceptre Yea I've listened to the EP a lot the past week. I definitely feel like i wouldn't like the rapping if they weren't British though. Their accents just give it a flare for me I guess.

    The kind of people that say that heavy guitar music and rap shouldn't mix are the kind of people that this band talk about in a lot of their music. People living in within borders and boundaries aid to the borders and boundaries our global society in. What this band is doing is doing what they have to do to get their message across, before you attempt to break down social borders, you must show that you're able to break them down in your general life i.e. in this case, their music!

    Limp bizkit was just rap and metal thrown together. This seamlessly mixes the lyrical complexity of real rap with the heaviness and melody of real metal. Rap can just be about crime and thuggery, and metal can just be sloppy power chords and shouting, but this is totally different. This is a breath of fresh air. Metal needs bands like this to weed out the narrow-mindedness and elitism that is shamefully so prevalent in our beloved genre.

    • @GeorgeZimmermen
      @GeorgeZimmermen 3 года назад

      “With the heaviness of real metal”........you couldn’t be more wrong bud. This shit is basic djent. Bizkit had more metal and heavy shit with actual riffs. The intro to hot dog is one of the best riffs I’ve ever heard and rips way harder than generic djent.
