Owner's Spotlight: Norly's Drag Inspired GT-R

While working on a couple of assignments for Speedhunters in Okinawa, I spotted Norly's GT-R among the crowd. Besides the sleeper (ish) looks on the outside, what really drew me in was the Hoosier. They just screamed "find out more!" Thus, that is exactly what I did!

Interesting Okinawa races are into drag racing. Not much drifting?
Damn i can imagine the cost of the car.
That engine is taken from the R34 and cost around 10 to 15 grand. And the gearbox alone will cost 30 grand. Most GTR builds like this will cost from 150 to 200 grand.
I pretty sure if he goes full on Tomei rebuild. His GTR will easily surpass 1000bhp. And with the bigger turbo setup he will be in the league of the 1500 to 1600bhp GTRs is Auzzy and New Zealand.

That's what I thought too and honestly, both Drifting and drag racing is pretty popular. The issue is currently, Okinawa doesn't have a suitable place for drifting (besides toges) where as they do have a drag strip. It's a 40min boat ride away but they have it. Gymkhana is hugely popular.
Yah.. That's a question I never want to ask but he spent an absurd amount in a short period of time to get to where he is now.Even after the shoot, he made a few more tweaks to the car haha.

In Japan, all the tuners call them タービン (taabin) instead of turbo. He would have picked it up by talking to people when be had the work done on his car.
