Owner's Spotlight: Nao San's JZA80

- The way Nao and I met was by pure coincidence. While at Tsukuba Circuit getting some event coverage for Speedhunters, I spotted a pink Supra in the parking lot. It reminded me of Hiba-San's Ridox Supra and made me wonder if they were friends. Unbeknownst to me, I had spoken with the owner (Nao-San) inside the circuit while asking for some track information. Later on, someone on SH told me I should reach out to Nao on IG and we connected there. That's when we found out that A) We both were good friends with Hiba- San and the Supra group! B) We did indeed meet at the circuit lol.
Long story short, we have been great friends since! So I felt it was only right to do a Spotlight on her and her JZA80 Supra. So, this time on Tokyo Tuner, join me as we take a look at why Nao-San loves Supra's so much!

Joshua Szeto hahaha thank you! I'll do my best. Have all these 'epic' ideas but just need the time / $$ to get to them. Working on it though!! And I think the saying says it best. The grass is always greener on the other side ^^

321 Style thank you! That's my goal tbh ^^ it may take longer to put together, but I think it's important to do something different (^^♪if people are digging it, then it's worth the time / wait period (so far lol) hopefully I can get funds to get better equipment / more videos.

Tell you something funny I remember when RUclips wasn't here I had a chance to travel the world at a young age and to see car culture I came back to the states and used to tell all my tunner buddies there was a time when only big BIG budget car builds were the only ones you saw now I get to see it all I love creativity you ever get a chance I have a small channel I do for a hobby it's called BOSU AMERICA and then you'll see why keep it up and SUPER THANKS FOR THE REPLY!

SZのATなので、ホント同じ80スープラでも近寄りがたさがありますが、生で見てみたいですね！
周りにスープラ好きどころか車好きも居なくて孤独にスープラ乗り続けて18年、楽しい事、悲しい事沢山思い入れ詰まったスープラ、、
オフ会とか、スープラの集まりとか、長距離もあまりしてこなくて、ずっと高齢の母親が片足不自由ながら横文字も分からない中でスープラはすぐ覚えてくれて横に乗せて出掛けるのをいつも楽しみにしててすごくスープラ気に入ってくれてたのですが一昨年突然病気で他界してしまい、自暴自棄の日々でした、、。
これからは少しでも長く乗り続けたいのと、母親のスープラへの愛着心を胸にもっとスープラオーナーや長距離ドライブして沢山共有していきたい想いです！
スープラ集まりとか緊張するし、行った事ないけど新たな思い入れを刻んでいけたらと思います！

It's interesting how much presence the Supra gave off in the small streets of the intro. It felt as if the car is literally a Gulliver in some tiny place.
Dimitry Mochkin it really did have a lot of presence. Especially when the area is not used to anything but small k cars and taxis driving through it.

Nice Supra. Love the aero and the way that wing seemingly flows into the body line. The interior is very well done too.
400+ whp is pretty decent, especially for a basically stock motor. Which btw sounds very healthy. Nice idle and good tone.
They can make 800 on a bone stock engine with the right turbo. And I mean No Cams, No Head Work, and No Internals. Maybe an aftermarket head gasket but nothing else.
Anyway, back to the turbo... Something twin scroll would be preferable. Make sure the exhaust turbine is smaller than the intake so as to avoid lag and increase throttle response.
Obviously it'll need the supporting fuel, intake, exhaust, cooling, and ecu upgrades.
And an aftermarket clutch, lightweight flywheel, and limited slip differential would make it easier for the transmission and drivetrain to do its job with double the power your car is at right now.

What is your rig setup?
As a fan of Inline 6 engines like the 2JZ and RB26. It nice to see a female driver who loves Supra or GTRs. A lady who love Supras that she owned 4 of them is wow! And she wants another JZA80 for a full tune 1000bhp monster and her almost stock daily. Respect to powerful ladies like her. As the old saying goes. Behind every men is a supportive and strong women.

When she said she wants to fully tune the car i.e. bigger turbo and said no money, I was like ok that's understandable because it is expensive but when she said I want to buy another one (unless she meant in the future), I was like, OK she wants to go all out tuning wise with the current car! She is crazy haha, definitely a keeper.
