Had to come back to comment.. I ordered these lights and installed them. They are definitely high quality and everything fit like OEM. Highly recommend!!👍👍
Glad you like them, they are great!
I agree with you on most aftermarket taillights most look hideous. Those that you found look very good
Agreed, nice OEM+ look.
They’d look better smoked, Jmo,..
I have same factory l.e.d in my 2017 Silverado LTZ package,. Mine are so bright & red, need smoke tint added to them imo,..
Not sure you are worried about the look of taillights with those wheels :D
They look fine, it's just a style. I would like to see some Methods on it or something similar but that's just my preference.
Adding that trim to front bumper was a really solid choice. Makes it look more finished and the contrast black ties in to the other oe black trim pieces.
I agree!
@@matt13ross where did you get the trim from?
Those parts are likely resistors with a heat sink so you don’t get a hyperflash or blown bulb signal.
Agreed
Depo is a quality brand. They’re known in the Lexus IS series community to make excellent oem inspired headlights for a fraction of the oem price
I can’t thank you enough for cleaning the opening. My anxiety was through the roof thinking you were just going to re-install
Hahaha, I usually try and clean things when I can like in this instance.
This is kinda a cool thing like building the car you wanna drive and the 2015 aren't to expensive
Just slap in led bulbs in your third break light and leave it 🙌🏻 maybe a light tint may help the look of you dig it . I saw your video on the panoramic rear camera I’m hoping to get that done on my 17 Silverado some time soon now that now how to do it thanks to you 🙌🏻
Its all coming together, looking really good.
Getting there! I have some performance parts on the way now finally.
Put LEDs in the third brake light. Really updates the look.
As one of your E36 followers is was good to see and hear it run for a few seconds. 😂🤣😂 Truck is looking good, really like all the mods so far!
Thanks 👍 I've been driving the E36 everywhere. I had a few mods in the garage for it, will have a new video soonish.
@@matt13ross its all good! Enjoy watching everything you put out so watching anyway. Keep up the funny, informative videos and we will be here to watch.
Man, I love the wheels, it looks really stock! 🤣🤣🤣
New subscriber here! Loving the content on your Silverado. Keep it up and have a great thanksgiving!
Thank you!
Truck is looking super clean!
Thanks 👍have a lot more planned for it as well.
Those bits on wiring is most likely ballast to create resistance to prevent an error code for blown blubs (leds use far less current than halogen blubs).
I researched that later and I think you're right. They don't hyper flash which is great.
Evil manufacturing 3rd brake light, I got one on mine.
I like them but more on off road builds.
Love the truck. Looks great. I like the bmw also. They make a front bumper spacer that helps. And it doesn’t look hideous
I watch for the cars AND truck! Love your stuff man 👍
I appreciate that! Wish more would watch truck stuff lol.
Trucks coming along man. She’s looking better and better! I personally love the look. If you want to sell them wheels lmk I’m not too far from you
Thanks! Won't be selling anytime soon though.
Love the wide wheels
You're one of few lol.
@@matt13ross honestly I like the wide stance with like 33 inch tires but yes lots hate
Wheels are sick. Truck looks aggressive as fuck
hay matt before you trim the plastic try a heat gun and bend it back. I used a heat on my Colorado zr2 and it looks factory without cutting out all the plastic that others do .and i have large 33s on it without any rubbing.
Solid idea, I haven't looked further into it yet. The slight rubbing hasn't bothered me enough lol.
I have a 2017 Silverado 1500 LTZ xtended cab,. I lifted 4.5 in.front and 3 rear. With 20x12wheels and 35 in tires,.. My tires rub on back of front fenders but it’s only a lil 3in section, kinda odd placement,. So I will most likely hav to cut and bend some metal, I dread it however, the fenders are carpeted so that will cover any tacky look in cuts,. I want to be able to cut and fold metal, if that makes sense
Don’t listen to all this wheel hate.. they look dope
Haha, it doesn't bother me. Thanks!
Depo seems to be a good brand. I use them on my bmw. However, they deffinitely cost-cut in order to make the price affordable, hence why they include the halogen reverse. BUT there's also other issues that may or may not arise.
For example, my led turn signals that mount on my side fender got yellowed RIGHT AWAY. Like not even a month or two passed and the top portion turned from clear/white to a yellow fade.
Hopefully they address this in their other products, but I'm a firm believer that there's a reason the oem Chevy's are $500 used per side, versus the Depo $400 per pair.
I've never had issues with my Depo stuff on BMW, hoping the same case here.
In Bmw land everyone uses Depos they’re basically considered equal to oem
Yup, I use them on my E36!
@@matt13ross got them on my e30! great quality lights, looks great on the durry too!!
Nice lights but dang those wheels are hideous.
LOL they're not for everyone!
@@matt13ross they shouldn’t be for anyone. It’s now “low country” Lol. Love your videos man. But anxiously waiting for you to fix those wheels. Lol. All good though I’m here for the Porsche series which is seriously awesome!!!
I was gonna say, when you drive a high country, but live in the low country.
@@Orange_pickles yup for sure. I support different tastes but it’s definitely not for me. Love the channel so much though.
The High Country isn't an off road version though, it's the luxury version. In the future I'll have another ZR2 will proper off road wheels and tires, but this diesel is and never was built for off road.
Some custom engraved EAB billet centers would look badass on those wheels 😁😉 taillights look great👌🏻👌🏻
Oooof, yes!
We can make them for you. ( I’ll send you a dm of some of the ones we’ve done. So you can see how awesome they are, and if you’d want or would want to move forward at some point at least you’d have the contact info and examples )
There was dried mud all behind my taillights on my 18
Ahh, must be pretty common then.
wheels are fire 🔥 idk what’s wrong w ppl. they broke asfffff
When you switch from halogen to led you have to have an led controller, I’m not 100% on what it does but I’m pretty sure it turns down the power since halogen lights take more juice
Why didn’t you clean and paint those rusty parts of the frame that are near the back where you were showing the harness? Any certain reason. Also love the videos for this truck series !
Iv bought both cheap and very expensive tail and headlights in the past and every single one filled with condensation. I keep them stock now i dont even bother, what it comes with is what stays
I've had good luck with Depo.
i see you go back and forth with ryobi tools to milwaukee. what's your thoughts on the cordless ratchet as well with all the other power tools
Slowly replacing Ryobi with Milwaukee, they have way more automotive tools.
You did buy the 14 high country so it didn't get all the fancy stuff. Alot changed between heated and actually cooled seats and clear turn signals on the front and leds. It just let's you customize even more I love the builds and your channel. I'm new from the zr2 silverado and enjoying all the videos
This is a 2015. Thanks!
Those wheels. 😂 Gah.
Aftermarket tail lights are hideous, tacky, terrible, etc., says the man with tires sticking 6” outside his fenders. Lol, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. You do you.
Love this build.. random ? Why keep that spare tire on the truck?
Good question, I'm not sure lol
@@matt13ross love the honesty:) keep up the sweet build
I’ll give a shout out to your GF too, she’s smokin! 👍🇨🇦
$380 now
How are they holding up?
No issues with mine at all. Love them!
It’s not dirt it’s oil/undercoating to keep truck from rotting out
Great looking of this taillights! the truck is getting a nice look pretty fast!
The E36 as daily thats sweet. Have some upgrade in mind to this car?
Some upgrades coming for the E36 soon.
@@matt13ross Thats nice! looking forward for these videos
I order some but what kind of resistance did you get ?
Nice tail lights! Up grade on the Milwaukee tools?
Slowly upgrading to Milwaukee stuff, the small M12 stuff for now.
Before and after? Like to see the difference in tail lights..
I show the OEM tail lights in this video.
Can you get a walk Arround video and review of them at night I’m considering them for my 18 highcouny too
I'll try to add that to another video, highly suggest!
Rants about aftermarket tail lights being tacky and hideous. While having those tires and rims on a 4WD truck 😂
4WD still works and the tires are an all terrain, so.....
Did your 3rd brake light stop working after you put the tail lights ? When you press brake
No
Update? On the leds !! Are they sealed good ?
No issues with mine at all.
Is something wrong with the e36 that you wanted to looking it deeper with the thermal camera or just to show us that, that tool could help source an answer to a possibly misfire
Nope, just displaying the camera. Would have helped when I had a mis fire previously form burnt spark wires.
How are the taillights holding up?
Perfectly!
If I could get these but just with a black lens and red bulbs
I wouldn't count on that happening
@@matt13rossit's not hard to do yourself LOL
I've built headlights before and it's quite labor intensive. I've never done tail lights. But honestly I think these are perfect how they are.
How are those taillights holding up thinking about getting some.
No issues for me!
Thoses ltz taillights don’t fit a 2015 1500?
I would think they would.
Looks like they don't have then anymore. But just curious. Are those the same as the 2017 1500 tails?
They sold out super quick. Same as any LTZ lights from this body style. 2014-2019 ish
They just restocked I got some go ahead and buy before the run out
@@y0mama12 thanks for the heads up!
i’m trying to find that plastic fender piece he installs at 11:19 i need it for my truck any help? please
If you could send me the link to buy those rear lights
Links are always in the description box.
Ok thanks
Talk about hideous….those rims and tires sticking out two feet are as hideous as it gets 🤣🤣🤣
To each their own!
Where could I get that adapter? I just previously bought the ltz tail lights
Not sure about that, came with the lights.
Do these taillights fit a 2017 Silverado ? Because when I click the link it say it doesn’t fit on a 2017 silverado. Can you plz answer my question. Thank you
I don’t see why it wouldn’t fit a 2017. They are the same 2014-2018.
Does gm have a version of the taillights with led?
Yea on the LTZ 1500 trucks, looks just like these.
Do 15 Silverado tail lights fit 15 GMC as well? All the aftermarket GMC options are so ugly
I think they would work.
@@matt13ross thank you. 2015 Denali has those ugly halogens too but there’s no aftermarket replicas :(
If you can swap between them, get the Depo LTZ tails for sure!
@@matt13ross based on some reading they’re only interchanged on dually models cause gmc uses Chevy beds. I’ll keep reading on it and update here in case people are wondering this too
So I check the link for tail I don't understand why it won't fit the ltz chevys
These are LTZ lights. Or you mean 2500 LTZ?
@@matt13ross sorry yea 2500
They will fit
Bro. I have those same Tail lights, but mine still hyper flash at night or when the running lights are on. Do yours do the same thing?
What’s odd is, mine started doing that with only the right signal at night. I’m going to add a resistor
@@matt13ross did you end up having to add a resistor ? If so how did you do it ?
Do these lights fit the 3500 aswell?
Yes
@@matt13rossthanks a lot
As long as it isn't a dually
Tail lights sold out… any other links from anyone?
I noticed that too, sold out everywhere I've looked recently.
They just restocked I got some go ahead and buy before the run out there 380 tho
Where did you buy the resistors for the taillights?
Came with the lights.
ok I also bought the same ones as yours but I added the resistors that already come with the rear lights but they don't work the turn signal flashes very quickly
Everyone is hating, but these wheels are the shit
Haha thank you!
i cant find them anywhere!!! anyone have an update one?
They seemed to have sold out.
They just restocked I got some go ahead and buy before the run out there 380 tho
Basic tail light 😂
That wheel setup is the worst.
Need some new wheels... 🤣🤣🤣 All that rust... 🙄
Would have just gone with factory LTZ lights. Go cheap it will bite you in the butt later. Espeically when you see the led drivers you have to screw in.
I found out those are just to keep them from hyper flashing, they work without them. Depo is a reputable brand and these are more than half off what a used OEM set would be.
Loving the truck. Looking real @DurtymaxJack
Using ur girl for thumbnails is crazy
Wigger wheels bro
Those "things" are probably to stop hyper flash. I'm guessing.
Yes I believe so too.
Most of us hate led lights
