I’ve mixed grated Parmesan into the dry ingredients, and used shredded Parmesan onto top before baking. I also put a little baking powder in my dry ingredients. I’ve also sprinkled a little Keto Chow Taco flavor and a little of my homemade taco seasoning into the dry ingredients. Any powdered type flavoring can be added to the dry ingredients. There are lots of powdered flavors on the market to mix into this protein dry ingredients before adding to whipped egg whites …. Peanut butter powder, peanut butter and chocolate powder, cheddar cheese powder, any of the Keto Chow savory or sweet powders , vanilla powder, … the list goes on. When you add more powdered flavors, it does change the fluffiness of the egg whites mixture, but I find it bakes up beautifully and has a more bread like taste. I always add a topping, too.
There are serious problems with this recipe. The biggest one is that if you make these buns, you may be in danger of losing your job as you will be at home making endless variations of this outstanding bread/bun extravaganza. Simply outstanding and super easy. I've learned a ton from your channel and wish you nothing but continued success. Everybody here on Vancouver Island is waving!👋👋

I like Tony Chachere's Cajun Seasoning! One side effect it has on me is as soon as I turn the button on top of the container it becomes the perfect sneeze powder! I don't even have to have it by my nose! Like it anyway!

Thank you for another awesome video. These buns are delicious! I admire the way you're able to fill the wells in the mini baguette pans so neatly. I do not have the skill to do that (I have a little bit of a neuromuscular issue that causes slight tremors and they ended up looking like Frankenbuns.) So I fashioned a pastry bag from plastic bag and snipped off a corner (a couple inches width) and filled the wells that way. It really turned out well, so if people need a little assistance they might want to try this.
I’m soooo excited to try these buns!! I’ve been on keto for such a long time now and I’ve tried all kinds of breads using the psyllium husk powder and just a lot of different bread type things and because so many of them are made with mozzarella cheese it just felt like we were consuming way too much cheese so I cut them out and especially in the summer I miss having a hamburgers on a bun to be able to just pick it up and eat it like everyone else instead of using a knife and fork. I’ve really missed having a hot dog with a bun, I know when it doesn’t have a bun it’s just called a Weiner. Anyway I’m super excited to try this egg recipe and make the rounds with sausage and egg. I used one of Kristi Davis sausage ball recipes and instead of sausage balls I made those sausage rounds and when those were made in the oven they came out looking delicious! My hungry man likes a big breakfast in the morning and I know if I’m able to have a sausage and egg on a bun will be an incredible on the run meal for him! So I tend to make things one at a time get the one in the freezer and then work on the next part. So that’s what I’m making tomorrow the buns and I’m wondering if it’s possible to make it with a hand held mixer instead of the kitchenaid? I have a kitchenaid but it’s such a pain to bring it out of the panty so please let me know if you have made them with a hand mixer and if it works because one thing I had wasting good ingredients and not have the end result be less then amazing!! I made these today. I even ordered the pan. I used the exact same ingredients and followed step by step. I have watched ALL of your videos on this bread. Mine did not turn out like yours. When you bit into yours they crunched!. When you took that first one out of the pan it looked almost like a filo- dough texture.. it blew my mind.. I was so excited but I am so disappointed in the outcome. I'll keep watching trying to get this. 😊

I know I’m here in Ontario canada and today the humidity was 92%!! Crazy! So I have a dehumidifier running in the kitchen right now in preparation for tomorrow’s first attempt I’ll be making the round buns for my sausage and egg breakfast sandwich

Game changer for me. It came out nice and big with uniform slices. I put it in the fridge and sliced next day like you said. Thinner slices and much easier to slice. Now on the list to try is still pizza crust and the two from today. Have 1 question. How long do you think you beat the whites with the mixer? I went 8 mins but it wasn’t as thick as yours and coming off the sides of the bowl. I love your videos. 😘

Mine came 13.19 x 9.45 x 0.98 inches. I'm not sure these are the mini French bread loaves. They look BIG for hot dog buns!! What size are yours?

Do you have to use the allulose? I used it and had stomach distress for over a day! Also, mine came out wet, and deflated. Dont know what I do wrong..... but Im more interested in trying these again and not put the allulose in if I can help it.
I made Maria Emerich's keto bread once, but I could not eat it. The texture was so dry and spongelike, I was unable to chew it and swallow it. These buns look exactly like that. Just wondered where i am going wrong as these go like a pillow type texture (not nice) wondering if its the egg white powder or the gelatin that is different in certain countries as i have no luck at all trying these egg white powder recipes - the bread looks great but tastes terrible (like egg white powder) / texture all wrong like eating cardboard. Could it be they are being cooked too long or too shorter time would that make a big difference ? So many others seem to really enjoy the eating experience so i just cant figure it out.

This is Maria Emmerich's recipe for PSMF bread. Maria also has a PSMF angel food cake recipe, which is pretty much the same except she uses 1 cup of powdered Swerve/erythritol instead of the allulose. If you don't have Swerve you could try substituting it with allulose.
@@IndigoNili I wanted to make angel food cake for the 4th of July, but I didn't have the egg white powder yet, so I substituted vanilla quest protein powder. That was a big mistake. It ended up raising so much that it overflowed and half ended up in the bottom of my oven. It was only about half cooked so I took a spatula and scraped it off the heating element as much as possible, unplugged the fire alarms and opened the windows. I didn't want to waste what was left. After cooking it shrank down so much that I didn't have much cake, and it wasn't pretty, but it tasted good. I want to try again sometime with the egg white powder.

I store them in an airtight container in the fridge... yes the crunch goes with storage. You could probably toast or airfry them to refresh the crunch though!

What am I doing wrong? I beat egg whites with hand mixer and Im wondering if thats whats the problem that I should use a big mixer. My buns ar flat after cooling down and isn't crunchy like yours are. What am I doing wrong? please help
I love your videos. I've tried to make this as a loaf and buns. I use Now egg white protein powder and every time, I get these hard lumps of powder in the batter. I've watched your other videos and although the tips are helpful, you don't seem to be having the same issue as me. I saw the video where you tried to put the protein powder at different times during the process. I tried that as well. Still get those lumps. Any suggestions?
@@IndigoNili yes I tried sifting too. I have the KitchenAid mixer. After cooking it I am still getting those hard lumps in the bread. I might try just removing the bowl from the mixer and gently whisking it. Thanks! Will try again and update.

Yes, these freeze well. You can do sausage/hot dogs baked in the batter. I think it would work great using these pans!

Meringue cookies are made of egg whites. You can make them any flavor. Crunchy and melt in your mouth.

I tried a piping bag and it worked okay but I found that I took too long handling the batter. Quicker is better with egg whites!

Does the allulose play any role to the consistency it gets after all the beating? Or can use just the other ingredients and get the same result?
Allulose gives the nice brown crust and a chewy'er texture. I have a video coming soon that shows the difference between using allulose and not

Have you thought about trying some sort of Asian dumpling (steamed? fried?) with the egg batter/dough? Could it become a bao bun? I'm gf/celiac and missing my dumplings! I have tried some rice flour doughs, but I'm still not satisfied with the results.

I’m loving your white bread videos. I’m really interested in using it for angel food cake”ish.” I’d need to add vanilla. How much total allulose do you think I’ll need to add? Any other changes? I like mine dried out, so this might be perfect for me.
This is Maria Emmerich's recipe for PSMF bread. Maria also has a PSMF angel food cake recipe, which is pretty much the same except she uses 1 cup of powdered Swerve/erythritol instead of the allulose. If you don't have Swerve you could try substituting it with allulose.
I haven't tried Maria's angel food yet but I want to!
@@IndigoNili I wanted to make angel food cake for the 4th of July, but I didn't have the egg white powder yet, so I substituted vanilla quest protein powder. That was a big mistake. It ended up raising so much that it overflowed and half ended up in the bottom of my oven. It was only about half cooked so I took a spatula and scraped it off the heating element as much as possible, unplugged the fire alarms and opened the windows. I didn't want to waste what was left. After cooking it shrank down so much that I didn't have much cake, and it wasn't pretty, but it tasted good. I want to try again sometime with the egg white powder.

How do you store them? I found if I put mine in a ziploc baggy in the refrigerator they stick to the bags. Thanks for sharing your videos.

I store them in an airtight container in the fridge... yes the crunch goes with storage. You could probably toast or airfry them to refresh the crunch though!

What am I doing wrong? I beat egg whites with hand mixer and Im wondering if thats whats the problem that I should use a big mixer. My buns ar flat after cooling down and isn't crunchy like yours are. What am I doing wrong? please help
Could be that it wasn't mixed enough. Hand mixers typically take longer. The crunch on mine was from the crispy cheese. Did your cheese crisp?

Has anyone tried to freeze this bread and these rolls?
I love your videos. I've tried to make this as a loaf and buns. I use Now egg white protein powder and every time, I get these hard lumps of powder in the batter. I've watched your other videos and although the tips are helpful, you don't seem to be having the same issue as me. I saw the video where you tried to put the protein powder at different times during the process. I tried that as well. Still get those lumps. Any suggestions?
Hmm... What kind of blender do you use? Also have you tried sifting the powder in to see if that makes a difference?
I usually put all my dry ingredients in a bowl first then I break down the lumps with a whisk.
@@IndigoNili yes I tried sifting too. I have the KitchenAid mixer. After cooking it I am still getting those hard lumps in the bread. I might try just removing the bowl from the mixer and gently whisking it. Thanks! Will try again and update.

Cream of tartar is normally added to activate baking soda, but there's no baking soda here. Is the cream of tartar really needed?
Cream of tartar helps stabilize the egg whites
