I got P0355 on a 2004 5.4L f150 and it doesn’t misfire all the time it’s intermittent. Comes and goes. Spark plugs and coils replaced less than 15k miles ago. Going to check connections, 205k harsh miles on it. Hoping I can drive it longer without taking it apart or rebuilding it

Ford has a huge problem with this type of soft end spark plugs along with this type of ignition coils

Wait John Sadler can't it be the piston rings because you can do a wet compression test by dropping motor oil in the cylinder it would raise the compression but anyway it still needs to be taken apart great video

Hi Danny! I wanted to keep doing more diagnostics also, i have a leak down tester and also add oil to the cylinder like you suggested. Then the end result is it still has to come apart:(

I had same code and ac wouldn’t work. Mine was a bad connection from the cylinder head temp gauge. That one wire fixed all the problems.

Ron Jackson interesting, I just drove across the country and my van was working great till I hit Colorado then my van started running rough and check engine light started flashing so I got to a mechanic and they did a tune up, plugs boots , coil 8 and filters, light was off and driving better for about 400 miles till I got to California where it started running rough again and code P0358 came up but I also noticed my AC wasn’t getting cold today as well. I’ll need to mention this to my mechanic, hopefully it’s this and not a bad cylinder 🤞🏻

@@bentley8787 hi Ron having the same issue but mine is a p0358 and ac stop working. Where is the wire located? I live in south Florida and the heat is a killer here.

@@MultiJustice78 There is a two wire connector under the intake manifold. On the drive side towards the front. I have an aftermarket intake manifold so mine was pretty easy to get to but with the stock manifold I guess it’s pretty hard. The sensor could be bad or one of the wires could be broken. The wire on mine did not look broken but inside the insulation the wire had come apart. It’s called the cylinder head temperature sensor.
